    Broken TV screen? In this video you'll learn how to fix a cracked LED TV screen. The screen on Paul's Samsung LED Television recently got smashed - watch this TV repair video to see how he repaired it for just over £50 using parts from another faulty one bought on eBay.
    Buying just the display on its own probably costs more than finding an old LCD TV which parts that can be scavenged.

    I did something similar with a nearly new 32" Samsung. The TV that was sent had some scuffs on the bezel, so I decided to swap it with the original pristine one. When I turned it back on. the new screen was cracked due to my heavy-handedness while swapping the bezel. So I now have 2 complete TVs with broken screens.

    How this video has so many likes and only a few dislikes, I have no idea… Because you’re not fixing a broken screen, you’re replacing the brains from one TV, to another.

    • @SwitchedOnNetwork
      @SwitchedOnNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm replacing the broken parts with donor parts from another set, the end result being that we have a fully functioning TV at the end of it. If your car is faulty and a part needs replacing, do you not consider that a "fix"? What would constitute a fix in your eyes?

    Hi, I did as suggested but unfortunately I bought a slightly different model with a T-Con board problem (cracked screen TV is UE55KS7500, replacement with T-Con board problem is UE55MU6220. Will I be able to just switch the T-Con board (as they are similar enough) or will that not work? Otherwise, is it very hard to switch the LED screen from one TV to the other? many thanks for your advice.

    • @SwitchedOnNetwork

    Hey sir, could u answer me this please. Do u think it is posible that my usb hard drive damage my tv? I watched movie of my usb hard drive and suddenly my tv freezed, black screen and on repair they said that tv cpu or motherboard burned, is it posible that usb hard drive that does not have adapet and is powered by tv could do this?

    • @SwitchedOnNetwork
      @SwitchedOnNetwork  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, it's possible that the hard drive tried to draw more power than the TV was able to supply, yes. Does the cable have a double usb end on? I'd try to power it from something other than the TV to be safe, or ideally use a lower powered usb flash drive if you can!

      Hi Gloria! I hope you found the video helpful - if you're able to find the same model of TV to use as a "donor", and you're confident taking it apart and following the steps I did in this video, you should hopefully be able to get somewhere. If not, you may be best finding a local TV repair company... Best of luck!

    I 'm still laughing with this "smart" guide!!!
    A friend of mine (not an electronics technician he is a musician) attempted to remair his TV with the same way!
    He thought that was smarter to avoid to pay me as a technician to make the repair!!!
    1) He ordered and paid a used mainboard online for 80 Euro.
    2) He was waiting longer than 55 days (for the shipping time) to get it in his hands!
    3) He opened the TV and tried to replace the board (but meanwhile he caused 2 more damages)!
    Even the replacement would completed successfully thw TV would not work because finally, the initial damage WAS NOT ON THE MAINBOARD but ON THE POWERBOARD!
    Conclusion:
    1) If someone has not knownledge and experience
    IS NOT ABLE TH REPAIR A TV (or something else)!
    2) The working time to complete a procedure for a repair IS REAL MONEY and HAS A COST!!!
    3) The final cost of the repair was hugely higher thet the initial...
    Have a good time

      Glad you enjoyed the video 😄 Each scenario will be different, of course, but I didn't have to wait long for the shipping of the donor TV, it didn't cost much (plus I had loads of leftovers to sell) or take very long and has been going strong for nearly 2 years now!
