The ending of Deltarune Chapter 2 set the stage for something big. So, just what what will Deltarune chapter 3 bring? Well in this Deltarune theory, we will be predicting Deltarune chapter 3 and everything it could contain. Will Toriel be forced to kill Undyne in order to protect Kris? Will the player make them do this? What about Spamton's big shot warning to not trust Mike - the possible villain of Chapter 3? We have a lot to talk about, so let's dive right in!

Keep up n mind that Undyne is the only character you can tell about the dark world, but she just laughs and says it's out of her jurisdiction. That's gonna be a rude awakening when she finds out there IS a dark world.
I think that's to get Undyne encourage her entering the dark world, just like the sink when you check it in chapter 1. Technically Kris is forming some sort of plan
I have a feeling that she'll think that she's dreaming like Noelle and Berdly.
but I bet whichever route you take, just like Noelle, Undyne and/or Toriel will forever remember that.
There’s almost definitely going to be extra dialogue if you tell her both days

Something to note, since Toriel is asleep when the dark fountain is formed, she will likely think the dark world is a dream like Noelle.

@@clarencejohnson8964 I think considering we've had foreshadowing she was HEAVY into partying in her youth, she may be completely insane and off the walls throughout the chapter.
Kris is going to be the only one who knows that they formed the dark fountain, they'll be the only one who knows it's not a dream, Susie, and Toriel may never find that Dark World was not a dream. Because why would a dark fountain just suddenly appear there at that time? They fell asleep before the fountain formed so of course they'd think it's just a dream.
I Honestly think Chariel, the beloved living room chair, will be the main villain of chapter 3
I think Chariel will be the secret boss.
I think Mike will be the main villain, but Chariel will be the secret boss. Since Seam basically says the next secret boss will be super hard and super powerful, it seems like having this super hyped super powerful boss be Chariel is something Toby Fox would do.

@@brokenmilk5885 seeing as chapter 3 will probably take place in the TV, I think the secret boss will be a video game character that kris plays when he plays a game and they want to kill kris because they were controlled for so long. its meta and keeps with the theme of puppetry
Chariel is more of a reference to Toriel's chair from Undertale but also a potential reference to Queen's flying chair.
Queen and Toriel have similar relationship with Kris
There's even a whole theory of Queen representing the relationships of pratogonists with their mothers.
I don't think Ralsei is evil. He is definitely hiding something from us, but I believe he is only trying to protect us and it's not anything malicious.

I remember that one person poked a hole in this theory by saying that Undyne and Toriel have no relation to one another and that there would be no way for them to relate. But there is one common thing that connects them: how they view Asgore. Toriel hates Asgore in Undertale and condones his actions, while Undyne praises Asgore for their decision to execute the children. Now, I know that Deltarune is drastically different from Undertale, but Asgore was chief of police and therefore still has that connection with Undyne. That’s my piece done

Due to Asgore being in the force, and there being a likely chance the reason he's no longer in it is the same reason he got divorced in this timeline

You missed a very relevant detail: There's an unused death animation that for some reason happens if you use Snowgrave on regular enemies. That animation looks like incineration. Kind of a big deal if the next chapter is going to have someone who was a powerful fire magic user in Undertale.
I never thought about it that way. I think Toriel will be peace ful and wont be aggressive, but if you purposely get hit (while using kris) she'll use more aggressive skills to protect him. If there is an Undyne fight and you get downed by undyne I think Toriel might incinerate her to protect you
@@terakoinfinity9523 I doubt that getting downed would IMMEDIATELY make Toriel kill Undyne, since a lot of people could actually die in that type of fight on accident

Actually, it's not unused. While not directly intended to be seen, it is possible to go back to a room at a certain point and use it on (I think) some of the Mais.
And I wouldn't say that it's _incineration._ More like _evisceration,_ like the hail is shredding them from the inside out.

Sounds very believable, considering the last events of chapter 2 but toby could as always just troll us and chapter 3 would go comepletely different

still, the story is usually the same. we have the fun gang, an ally that joins the team at some point, Susie's decisions, an antagonist, a secret boss, and now a "genocide" route.
this is going to be engulfed in amazement
Considering how toby plans that chapter 3 will be even more silly. I believe there will be some humour expected for. While we could get a different mechanic of the game as a whole which parallels to it's genocide counterpart.
Also we need to wait atleast another year or so for Toby to tease us who the next character is (although toriel and undyne is speculated)
Edit: for some reason i predict snowy will play an antagonistic role in chapter 4 (here's a hint, noelle mentions how dragon blazers is similar to deltarune playstyle. And the boss she's fighting in the hospital is none other than silverdrake.)
Edit 2: ok I'm basically making another edited. Since i firmly believe jockington will play a huge role in chapter 3 perhaps. Toby already hinted he has a dark world form. And his hat is referenced on the undertale xbox version. Along with him. Maybe catti might also be involved since she already has an oversupportive relationship with her parents and she hates susie.

I've always had the idea if we get a Snowgrave route in Chapter 3 (or Firegrave) then we would have to intentionally get hit so Toriel would use her more dangerous attacks in order to protect us.

Hold on that sounds really good - imagine if Kris receives like a minimum of 50 damage on an enemies turn, then on the next turn Toriel immediately attacks the enemies.
I thought Kris opening the door meant that outside would also turn into a dark world. The other three were probably created behind CLOSED doors, which is why *I* thought it would make outside a closed door.
In my opinion, Kris just left and slashed the tires. Maybe he did some other stuff, and obviously we don't know his motivations, but the timing of Toriel calling the police about slashed tires is pretty much a guarantee for me. It's an interesting theory you have about the closed doors thing, but technically the bathroom door is always closed (because of what it looks like in the over world I mean), so even if it would the dark world should still be confined to the house.
But it's been a while since I played the end so maybe they intentionally don't show the bathroom door to leave it unknown idk.
After writing the comment, I recall that the front door was open. I am dumb. My bad. For some reason I thought you meant the bathroom window shutter thing.
i feel like this will happen, but not until ch6, and ch7 will be about the consequences after. it could also be in ch5, the consequences in ch6, and ch7 being kris beginning to work with the player or kris and the player being separated (first is more likely, the player and kris separating would be an ending sort of thing in my opinion)

I don’t think Toby will be that predictable, he loves to subvert expectations. For all we know, the Hospital could be the next setting. Or Goddamn Asgore comes instead of Undyne/Napstablook.

When Susie and Kris fall asleep, the game makes it visually obvious that the kitchen and living room have separate lighting, specifically darkening the living room. I think that's a bit of foreshadowing that only the living room will become dark.
This also connects to an overarching theory of mine, with a light source having to take part in casting the Darkness for a dark world, literally becoming the source of the fountain. The abandoned classroom is the only room in Hometown that has a visible light bulb, after all, and both the laptop in the Library and the TV are light sources, (which btw, it's notable that Queen is a computer, and the likely antagonist of Ch3, Mike, is a TV).

That doesn't make sense. The light int he computer lab was on when the fountain there was created and plus in the ending scene the darkness visibly fills the ENTIRE screen. You can't seriously tall me a giant fountain shooting negative photons into the ceiling at a rate like that would affect the living room

The part that "Kris is inviting Undyne" makes a lot of sense! In both chapters, if you interact with Undyne you'll have an option to talk to her about the Dark World but, obviously, she doesn't believe. Maybe he wants her to be there so something would happen, after all she is the monster with the most determination. Or they just want to be taken seriously for some reason
Edit: Just replayed the game and when Kris interacts with Undyne we have only two options: "Dark World" or "..." if you select "Dark World" Kris acts as if they were worried about people falling into them, but Undyne doesn't take it seriously. This could be the reason why Kris slashes Toriel's tires and why they open the door at the end of chapter 2. They want Undyne to know about the Dark worlds so she can just warn everyone, after all, who would believe in a teenager when they tell someone about a different world hidden in the library and in school? This could open a lot of possibilities as: Kris can only be at control when their determination reaches the player's determination, and this could be caused by extreme preoccupation or extreme feelings
What if they want to get us out of Kris?
Temmies have more determination than Undyne. They can not only remember past timelines, but also intuitively know why the timeline was reset, as evidenced by the fact that the price of temmie armor decreases every time you die
maybe Kris wants as many lightners as possible to know

Toriel mostly do Fire and Healing magic. No other spells. I think. Also the book may just be a book about snails because in Undertale she does read a lot of books about snails.
I'd say the book is a cooking book or a snail book not a spell book because that would still give her healing powers just not magic healing powers like maybe she uses her fire magic and the book to bake a snail pie real fast

It could be the Snowgrave Route all over again” The thing is, we weren’t forced into the Snowgrave Route by any means; it is solely on the player, with some of us having never played the route, just like Undertale’s Genocide Route (for example, I never played Genocide, and in Deltarune, I play as kindly as I can get away with- at least when it comes to fighting, though I’m not above causing mischief); but even so, I don’t expect we will be forced into manipulation, or any sort of sinister behavior; I do however believe that most or all chapters (excluding the first) will have a Snowgrave-like route for those who seek dark, darker, yet darker experiences
You misunderstand. BY manipulating Noelle, we were forced to kill Berdly. It’s a simple cause and effect.
We weren’t forced to start the manipulation, but the situation is forced to turn sour because of it.
@@littlemoth4956 but you can stop manipulating Noelle each step of the way; you can even stop manipulating Noelle during the Berdly fight and not kill him; at what points are force applied to the player in that regard? If I can say “nah, no thanks” at any time, and the game says “oh, okay”, I’m not being forced; the “cause and effect” thing seems like “I wanted a soda, there’s a vending machine, and I had change, so I got a soda; therefore, I was forced to get a soda!”

I feel like there’s gonna definitely be a way to exploit someone ore something in some way to get what you want (that being some type of genocide route) in the coming chapters. At the start of chapter one we are told our choices don’t matter in this world, but with the snowgrave route, it’s proven that our choices DO matter. So I think the main thing throughout the next chapters will be about you (the player) trying to find a way to exploit people and kill everything and the consequences of your actions. I think that depending on weather or not you try to rise above the laws of the game will determine How much impact Gaster will have.
If you chose to go a pacifist route the dynamic is Kris resisting YOU, but if you go the snowgrave route it’s you resisting kris’ resistance. And I think the “genocide” route your forcing would upset whoever we were talking to while creating a vessel at the start of chapter one. So I think that the endgame, in chapter 7 will be a fight against whatever kris is doing while he rips out your soul and has his knife in hand. But a genocide route will involve a fight against an upset gaster who told you that you couldn’t rise above the laws of the game, yet you still do.
Because I’m undertale, to get the FULL story, you have to go out of your way to kill everything and everyone. The story that flowey tells you in new home, the dialogue during the sans fight, and your interaction with chara at the end gives insight on lore that you wouldn’t find if you didn’t do the genocide route. So I think the snowgrave route will go in the same direction that might give us more insight on some lf the things like gaster.

A few things that you haven't mentioned that may or may not be important:
* The TV's smile at the end is reminiscent of the introduction of Photoshop Flowey, smile first on a TV screen.
* The trash can has plenty of fresh flowers from Asgore.
* The photo on the fridge.
* The partially made pie.
* Mike could be short for Microphone too.

This may have been mentioned in your comments already, but at the end of Ch 1, Undyne says some very interesting things.
When you initially talk to her, she says she wishes something big would happen in town. She also tells you look out for someone matching Susie's description, as there have been reports or someone like that causing mischief. I think Undyne will be a antagonist in Ch 3, and will try to arrest Susie. She might even think Susie is the one who slashed the tires. Anyways, I think we will stick up for Susie, fight Undyne and then Undyne will eventually be on our side, like Susie in Ch 1 and Berdly in Ch 2.
I also think she will be involved in some way with the secret boss by turning our heart green.
Something else that might happen is that Toriel will start to look a Kris as more of a teenager instead of a little kid. In the first game we see that Toriel still holds his hand while walking to school and Kris seems a bit embarrassed. Maybe in the pacifist version Toriel will start to treat him with more independence.
One thing that I saw on another site talking about this was the way the audience would react to your choices, and I mean the TV Audience that plays on tv shows, it'd be interesting to see them cheering for blood and violence at first, but as the route gets darker and darker you'd even hear people leaving, until either nobody remains or there's only one crazed individual remaining

One thing that I find is interesting is that at the end of chapter one, the television is unplugged, but in the morning of chapter two, the television is plugged in. This implies that Kris did something with the TV at the end of chapter 1.
I have a small theory that seam has items that foreshadow the themes of each new area. On the wall behind him, there is a variety of items. On the right looks like a filing cabinet, then left of that an object similar to a webcam. If we see those as the school storage room, then the library computer lab, they are both in line and thematicly relevant. Plus, because of the layout of the other items, your house would also fit. If it is a cooking show theme or something, it lines up with the mini stove seam has. Even if the position is not a factor to consider, the other items could easily be dark world themes. Just a thought I had, great theory swanky!
I like this idea a lot, but if chapter 3 doesn't have anything to do with this theory then i think that there may be a restaurant themed chapter that could possibly have Asriel in it, since Asgore and Toriel agree to talk about going on a family dinner with Asriel when he comes home

Toriel is probably gonna be like Susie in most of chapter 1, except she defends Kris instead of attacking the enemies. In short, Toriel is basically free TP

Talk to Seam at the end of Chapter 2. You'll get interesting comments about the potential super boss. Also maybe the Fire grave route can only be unlocked if you did the snowgrave one, and to cover your tracks, you have to strike Undyne down.
In my opinion, when Toriel meets Ralsei, she's going to confuse him with Asriel. Despite Ralsei, Susie, and perhaps Kris telling her no this is not asriel, asriel sux, Toriel is still going to confuse Ralsei with him. In the end, if they say goodbye, I think Toriel would say "Goodbye Asriel- I mean, Ralsei, haha."
Bringing Toriel into the Dark World, and having her confuse Ralsei, is likely going to bring up some good plot points with Kris. Do they have good memories of Asriel? Bad?

Asriel is a college-age young adult in this timeline, Toriel is not going to confuse her own son with the much younger Ralsei. I think people over-emphasize Ralsei "looking like" Asriel, just because they remember the Asriel we saw in Undertale, and even then there are visible differences between Undertale's Asriel and Ralsei. Ralsei probably looks about as much like Asriel as Asriel himself looks like Toriel or Asgore.
2:52 Well on the one hand, it IS Undyne so she'd probably kick it down anyway. On the other hand, I'd believe Kris doesn't want her to do that in the first place.

Maybe there will be more dark worlds being opened by The Knight to throw off the heroes and we can only choose 1, and over time the amount of Dark Worlds will increase from 2 to 3, then to 4 and so on and eventually The Roaring will happen due to there being too many to close off. (of course the dark worlds would have to be smaller compared to the other dark worlds from earlier)
I feel like Deltarune is also hinting at more of Kris's classmates joining up in the dark world, either as teammates or bosses. Both Catti and Jockington (presumably also Snowy and Monster Kid) have a room in Queens mansion. It’d be really fun to see their Dark World appearances/costumes, such as Catti using her snake friend as a weapon and MK potentially having “Magic” arms instead of having none at all. The last one could potentially be an interesting plot dynamic, with MK not wanting to seal off the Fountain due to fearing he’ll lose his new appendages and then appearing as a boss encounter (similarly to Berdly) where he uses different arms to attack the player, such as sprouting tentacles and attending to grab your SOUL or creating large hammers to smash it. Idk, it’d be cool.

I think undyne will come to the dark world on snowgrave route, and on a normal route it’ll be napstablook. A kid just died or went comatose, and it’s likely that he’s been found by the time chapter 2 ends. They’d be much more concerned about what happened in that case, and Undyne would go in case of a violent encounter.

I really don’t think that Toriel is going to kill Undyne, it would be way to predictable. Deltarune looks like it’s all about plot-twists, the character creation I Ch.1, Kris being the knight, etc. It would be un-Deltarune-like to repeat that same idea.

(Or Kris is somehow working for the knight, or being one of the possibly multiple knights, or anything like that)
You said “But it wasn’t really the last thing I expected either”, and so what? A plot twist isn’t *only* the last thing you would ever expect to happen in a story. It’s just anything that unexpectedly majorly changes the story. Kris being the knight (or working for the knight. Or there being 2 knights, one of them Kris. Y'know, Mike being the Big Bad of the third chapter actually makes some sense, aside from all the other points already listed.
Remember, Jevil warns the party of Queen after his boss battle. As such, why wouldn't there be this running theme of "secret bosses" (Jevil and Spamton, respectively) warning Kris, and by extension the player, of upcoming foes?
A random thought I had while reading your comment, if there's a secret boss on chapter seven would it say anything about a boss? Probably not but if it did that would probably be toby foreshadowing yet another game
I personally think that the characters that will be killed in the rest of the snowgrave will be the 6 non main character classmates, Berdly was first, and maybe the monster kid will be second, since they are kind of Undyne's shadow in Undertale, so either Toriel will kill them, or Noelle will find her way into the dark world again.

I don't think this game has a "your actions have consequences" set up. Undertale was like that and this game has gone out of its way to tell us that we are not playing Undertale. *Our* choices don't matter. My guess is that, as the heroes of prophecy, we aren't able to stray from that path. Whatever we do we end up sealing the fountains.
The reason why we needed Noelle for the snowgrave route is because she isn't part of that prophecy. She can act how she chooses and *her* choices matter. Deltarune may have a darker path but it will require manipulation of those outside of the prophecy. Urging people to make the wrong choices since we aren't allowed to act outside of our roles.
I think noelle is the "angel" in the prophecy

Minor decisions we make can have an affect, but ultimately it's Noelle's actions that stick, not ours. We just urge her down the wrong path- a path she only takes because we're persistent.

One of my guesses or predictions is the next secret boss being the dark world equivalent of alphys. Remember each characters from undertale has a sort of parallel version of sorts in the dark world ie queen and king obviously being a parallel to asgore and toriel, ralsei being well asriel, etc etc. the secret boss this time around for chapter 2 is spamton who is the dark world equivalent of mettaton. My prediction for one of the next chapters secret boss is being the dark world equivalent of alphys. The thing that makes me believe this is because the fact that we never got an alphys fight on pacifist, neuatral, or genocide route heck she doesnt seem to bother us entirely when we do genocide, and chapter 2 has shown us spamton neo aka the possible version of what a mettaton neo fight couldve been so that leaves the possibility of one of the next chapters secret boss being a parallel or darkworld version of alphys of sorts because alphys never had a fight in the original undertale. Tbh this is just my random thought i had about the next few chapters who knows i could be completely wrong lol
Well, I get how Spamtom NEO is like a parallel to Mettaton and I'm all up for an Alphys boss, but the thing is, I don't think every darkworld boss is a parallel to past characters in Undertale, since the Queen was more than anything a parallel to *Noelle's* mother, Ch 2 revolved around that theme seeing as Noelle doesn't seem to have a good relationship with her mom, we're shown that the queen is commanding Noelle but the deer ends up standing up to the queen and telling her she doesn't like being controlled, and that might just be the same issue going on in the light world. We might still get an Alphys-parallel boss but I don't think it would be because of the reason you mentioned

Also, I think Ralsei will not be the third party member in Chapter 3 and won’t appear until after the new dark world is cleared. Once reunited with Kris and Susie, he’ll act all worried and claim that he couldn’t help them for some reason but we will later learn that he knew what was happening and intentionally didn’t help them out only because Toriel was with them and wouldn’t risk to be “exposed” to her.

So far we only know he's aware of the school layout, and not the students.
So it's safe to say he doesn't know Toriel, but I think Toriel, and Ralsei would make a quick joke on them looking alike.

I think the door is opened because every dark world so far has *been inside a closed room.* So possibly either only the place closely outside or the whole town will become a dark world. This would be a great way to open up the world after the first two chapters.
My belief as to why kris opens the door for seemingly no reason is to expand the dark world. Each dark world is one room and as you said a house can be considered to be one big room, but a whole town is something else. Kris wants to spread the dark world across the whole town, which explains the conversation they had with susie about doing just that. The only way to do this however is to get rid of the walls or to leave an opening to make the "room" that the dark world with take shape as even bigger and to turn the whole town into one huge dark world, one that could easily last for 3 or more real world days (chapters).
If the dark world envelopes the whole town and the buildings It would be possible (if you did a snowgrave route) berdly could come back. We know plushies and stuff in the rooms where the dark fountain is become Characters within the dark world so if berdly is still dead inside the library he could come back to life as a darkner

Since either Napstablook or Undyne (or both) could come to the house, imagine if the person who comes depends on whether undyne accidentally let out the dogs in jail. It might seem like just a joke, but thats what deltarune is great at doing. So what if, if you took the time to tell undyne about the dark world in chapter 2 and she accidentally sets the dog bandits free, she didnt get the phone call because she was chasing after and recapturing them. In her place, napstablook might take the call and come to Kris' house instead. (If you didnt do this, undyne would come). Napstablook coming would also make sense considering the police didnt come immediately, which I assume undyne wouldnt have done, becaue she is always seen as so eager as a police officer.

Considering chapter 2's actual development took less than 1 and a half years (from reading the September 2020 status update, development of chapter 2 mostly started in Spring 2020), I think about 4 years waiting for chapters 3-5 is more likely.
Toby commented that the reason why chapter 2 took so long was because he kept switching engines, had to remake parts of chapter 1, and he has chronic wrist pain.
But the good news is that he has a proper team to help him now, and he found an easier and more effective way to program cutscenes. Basically, it will speed up the process in the long run.

The reason his fur was dark was because of the hat covering his face. Plus it's showing that he's getting more comfortable with being himself around others

I honestly doubt that characters from Undertale will play a big part in Deltarune. It seems clear to me that Toby is much more focused on new characters. It's more likely that Catti and Jockington will play big parts in Chapters 3-5, since they were both alluded to in Queen's Mansion.
There’s seven chapters in all. There’s not enough kids in the class for all seven. Catti and jockington can be be 4, MK and snowdrake can be 5, and Temmie is just there as a nod to the developer. 6 and 7 are special chapters, but I can see asgore and alyphys be 6, and save the big two Sans and Papyrus for 7.
Noelle is Kris's neighbor and talks to Kris after snowgrave. So Noelle MIGHT be in C3
I don't think noelle would be in chapter 3 because her and berdly finished thier arks in chapter 2
@@churro1201 Did they though? There is the mystery about what happened to Dess. Rudy being in the hospital is a potential set up for trauma that could easily play into the themes of Helplessness, Lack of control etc. that surround both Noelle and the game at large. Noelle being likened to an "Angel" on both routes, hinting at her potentially being connected to the "Angels Heaven" in some way. Theres also the fact that at least on Snowgrave, she is our murder doll at worst and heavily traumatized at best, depending on where her mind goes after the Hospital scene.
Sure she got more confident on Regular Route, but her character development isnt as heavy as that she couldnt fall back (or even fall into adjacent issues) if things started to go worse for her, which there is a lot of potential set up for. On Snowgrave any amount of "confidence" she gained is heavily linked with a fear of lacking control (Hospital Scene) and/or following our commands (DW) which gives her even *more* potential set up for things going worse.
Tldr.: Both routes give more than enough set up for Noelle to still be plot-important in the future. Whether she will appear prominently in Ch3 is a different question, but i dont think her arc is as finished as it looks, and with the game, *especially* on Snowgrave where shes in a much worse mental state, actively invoking the "Angel" thing with her... Yeah, i think shes going to be important on at least one of the routes, if not both.

Not as important as Susie and definitely never Kris or Ralsei. Plus, ðe Mystery of Rudy, Dess, and ðe Angel all are characters ðat are not Noelle. I could see her staying unplayable but still getting backstory from Characters like ðe ones you mentioned in ðere. Toriel, Asgore, Rudy, Catti, and ðe Mayor are all very likely dark world canidates ðat can give details on Noelle. But I feel ðat Noelle will not be Super Relevant in ðe future chapters. Plus seeing where ðe Chapter 3 Fountain might be. It is practically impossible for Noelle to show up in Chapter 3's dark world, unless if Toby pulls a bullshit dream sequence which I highly doubt he would do because of
1. I guarrentee he hates Dream Endings as much as we do.
2. Kris, one of ðe 3 heroes opening up a Dark Fountain has some real interesting setup potential wiþ Ralsei. And ðe light world Characters þeorized to show up have not had much interaction in Deltarune or Undertale.

That doesn't really make much sense from both a lore perspective, and common sense perspective. Undyne would kill to have more action and crime in the town, she tells you this herself, so she'd be on her way once she gets the call. Plus, no police officer in their right mind would choose to drive all the way to the home of someone they think is trying to kill the victim calling, rather than actually checking out the situation of the victim. That makes no sense.
Idea: Undyne dies in every route EXCEPT the snowgrave-equivalent because she pulls an undying
The TV dark world prediction is very accurate. We know that there are sprites of characters that are weather forecasters
Just wanted to comment that if you talk to Seam after defeating Spamton he reveals you it is impossible to beat the next villain without an item that was recently stolen from him. This is interesting because it could imply there is a traitor at Ralsei's castle. It then will somehow have to get into the next world for the boss. This probably means an initial encounter where you run away from him, like Undyne, and then have to find Seam's artifact.
I believe some other potential dark world are in the bunker, of course, and in the upstairs of Asgore’s Flower Shop. That door seems very mysterious…

Personally, I think Kris opened the door to get Noelle to show up, since she's his neighbor and would probably think something could be wrong. And while I'm sure Undyne will show up, I feel like her presence supports my theory that the secret bosses for the 7 chapters will go through all the soul colors, the third chapter's obviously being green. Perhaps during the point near the end where we always get to fight the secret boss she'll be in our party.
I get that we can use undertale to predict stuff for deltarune, but it’s funny thinking about alphys or Susie being like “uh hey kris I heard mom just went and killed a random police officer, weird that sucks man”

I think it'd be interesting if where chapter 3 starts depends on the route. Maybe Kris abandons the soul (player) and at the start of chapter 3, ralsei finds it and you start controlling him and susie instead, but if you took the snowgrave route, Kris likes you and decides to keep you around. There are a few other indications of why he might do this; when you cut spamton neo's last string, he goes back to being nothing, suggesting that you need someone else pulling the strings to achieve greatness, so Kris could accomplish a lot more with the help of a genocide player than without one, but it would still be better to have no player than to have a pacifist player. Also, Kris doesn't seem to consider ralsei a friend even when the player does; ralsei tea only heals him 60 while friend teas normally heal 120. We also know from catti (or catty) that kris used to be into demonic things, so maybe that's more indication and it could even be what brought the player into the world

Kris is such a fascinating character. The player wants to get to know them more but we are very clearly ruining their live the more we play and uncover their lore. I cant help but wonder if opening the dark world was a cry for help? Like Kris wants their mom to know whats going on. Or they're just lonely. The dark world has clearly given them friends. Maybe they're terrified of running out of worlds and being left alone again. Kris also seems increasingly desperate to stop the player's control over them. Im interested to see what they might do to get the soul out of them.

But what if Deltarune Undyne has no determination whatsoever? She doesn't really have much of a specific goal... Just protect the town, which there usually isn't anything to protect it from... Undyne probably thinks a wild animal is just wandering around, and once she enters the dark world she will probably be confused excited and completely forget that she's in a strange alternate universe that appeared in someone's house.
Every monster, even in Undertale have a bit of determination, but monsters don't know magic in Deltarune, and that's probably why Berdly doesn't turn into dust, so if there is no magic, is very probably they have physical body, that means can hold more determination than in Undertale, so maybe she has even more determination
If there isn't an area called floral heap where you have to scale up a mountain of flowers while fighting depressed floral themed enemies that you have to cheer up imma be sad, unless it's all packed into a depressed flower secret boss or smthn
Having Undyne and Susie on the same party would be SUPER cool and I wish it would happen. They're both mean females, has a love interest with a nerd, soft and shy monster (Noelle and Alphys). Both of them have a goofy best friend (Lancer and Papyrus) and they're both tough.
Personally, I think that the smile on the tv could be pointing towards flowey. This is because of the tv with static on it in the final boss fight against flowey and his infamous smile.
I have mixed feeling towards that theory, first of all the dark world created will be determined by objects in the same room as the fountain, BUT, in Asgores flower shop, you can see replicas of basically all human souls as flowers except determination and a Flowey like flower. Meaning I think Asgore will be in maybe chapter 4 or 5+ because we could open a portal in his shop by having like a "stayover for the weekend" type deal then on Monday coming back with Susie. I feel like an antagonist of the chapter with him would definitely be a Darkworld Flowey
Plot twist: the flowers she threw in the trash is the final boss of chapter 3 and it transformed to omega flowey

The only problem with that is Asriel, is alive, and well.
What people are forgetting is that Kris never puts the soul back in, which means we may have a Soulless Kris wandering around the darkworld while we navigate as just a soul
He cannot live without the soul, it is obvious that we will be like Kris but maybe he will plot something so that we do not have him in control
I think he actully did. Becuse when the screen darkend he took the soul in his Hand and put it back right After the screen got Completely dark. Also he wouldnt be able to walk even just 5 mins without it.

@JPeri05 if you get someone else's lung or heart or something transplanted, you still need it to live even if it isn't yours. So unless kris gets their own soul back somehow i dont think they can live without our soul

While that could happen, another thing I heard from a comment is that your classmates will join you in the dark world and, since chapter 7 is probably not going to have any more party members, we could combine them so:
Chapter 1: Kris and Susie
Chapter 2: Berdly and Noelle
Chapter 3: Undyne and Toriel
Chapter 4 or 5: Jockington and The Cat Goth, or Monster kid and Snowy
Chapter 6: Maybe Temmie?

I don't think Kris opened two fountains at a time, instead I think they thought they could open one safely in the living room and get Undyne to see that the Dark World is in fact real but will be blind sided by the Knight opening more offscreen.
