I'd like to believe the lack of AUs led to the amount of creativity from the community now. Interested to see what the community will come up with after the next three chapters release.
I really like this video, show's a lot of perspectives I haven't seen before. Something obvious that I've seen is that there aren't a lot of Deltarune fan games. Because Deltarune is itself a lot more complicated mechanically and graphically than Undertale. More party members lends itself to programming problems and the non-black and white sprites make's art harder as well. All of this is why Deltarune AU stuff feels more special. Because it takes more effort to create something good and there's less of it that exists.
To be fair, Undertale Sprites are way bigger than Deltarune ones, and using two colours doesnt make the art any easier. The thing about Deltarune sprites is that they have more animations going on and all that
Spamton isn't the only character getting original songs like you covered in the last section. There are quite a few focusing on Noelle too, mainly with Snowgrave as the theme. Such as "Girl Next Door" and especially "Stronger than Anything."
I've seen plenty for Kris floating around, and one or two for Susie that were pretty good too! There's probably more but since Spamton is a lot more popular, people miss out on these other original songs too unfortunately :(
I'm a bit disappointed there was no mention of the Ch 3 Metropolis AU that the creators, Huecycles and Lisspeed, said they intend to finish _regardless_ of the real Ch 3's release. It has pretty decent music, cool art and sprite cutscenes, and their take on Mike and the secret boss Halojack have stuck in my head way longer than any others.
Great video! Alas, you're one of the few outside of the "AU Hell" group that actually recognizes stuff like TS!Underswap and Storyshift, and one of the fewer that dive into Deltarune fantracks outside of Puppetswap. Hope this spreads further!
Yall know prunsel? I HAD A DREAM SPAMTON WAS LITTERAL CAN OF SPAM. And any time he talked [Spam!] is all he said. And also, his neo form, was A FIREWORK.
Would love if they swapped the characters based on the bigger picture. Assuming that the game is already done, some should think pairing up characters with opposite traits will work the best, imagine this: - Kris and Noelle Swap will make a ton of sense, both are lost of their siblings in Asriel (College...?) and Dess (Missing). Also some theorize that Noelle is the "Angel" the Prophecy describes and Kris is the "Knight" who summons Dark Fountains (Ch2 Ending). - A Susie-Ralsei swap would work the best, considering in Ch1, they really oppose each other. Susie quotes "Your choices don't matter", which conflicts Ralsei's "Oh Kris you're the leader, everthing is in your hands" type of act. But during Ch2, Susie and Ralsei really got along very well, which shows that even though they both oppose each other, they still can be and WILL be great friends. - King and Queen, obviously - Jevil and Tasque Manager would be an interesting swap, as they oppose each other by having Chaos and Destruction face against Order and Perfection. I'd just be perfect (But I'd still prefer Jevil-Spamton) Yeah, that's all that I could've think of, Deltarune really lacks a ton of characters to be swapped with the other, surprisingly, as one of the guys who swaps a character's music for another character's battle, I immediately ran out of ideas on who to swap. But there are still future chapters, who knows what "Tenna" and the Shadowmen would bring us. Also Dess, Asriel, and possibly Mettaton and Papyrus would definitely come afloat as well in the future chapters. We'll see in the future
I think the major issue of this is that your trying to go for swaps with “overarching themes or narratives” when some of thee characters relations, ties, or dynamics with their swap selfs/counterparts cant work for the long run, especially if its minimal to shallow to stretching it with what you can swap using that basis/idea in mind (ex: jevil-tasque manager who is only one-sided reference and the other doesnt even acknowledge the other one). Another major issue also is the fact that your swapping from the entire games narrative without consdering how you would swap with upcoming chapters characters from unreleased chapters that potentially would disrupt the flow of characters swaps between every other ones like the amount of charcaters to swap with running out, having no ties that can make them connect, bare bones dry in terms of potential with swapping them, etc. Like another comment said you just cant tackle a deltaswap take in the same way as underswaps ideas or rules, because deltarune has a variety of characters in a single chapter that it’d be litteral mess if you wanted to go on a full scale swap of the entire game instead of doing it one by one of each chapter, by swapping things in a single chapter just makes it easier to actually think of ways to expand and come up with unique ideas in making a deltaswap take (like aethercrest).
swapping between chapters is closing in on chapter rewritten territory anyway the ideas for swapping secret and main bosses is more open to new designs unlike king and queen swap
Honestly, I kind of wish more people talked about AU music or even just general fan content like this. The songs are good and have a lot of time and passion put into them. This was a great video, and introduced me to a lot of good songs. Can’t wait to see more of your videos
I really quite like A Different Snowgrave by loganvcairns, Salt Route, and Deltatraveler. Simple things like "What if this segment played out differently" and "Meme pushed to logical extreme via a crossover fangame" just do it for me
Spamton is truly working like a spam mail. Hes gotten fan songs based on soley him, alterations of his song, Aus, his plush came before jevil's, heck he got a mob for super Mario 64 that people have speedrunned. Juno songs even did lyrics for it. He really did [shoot for the sky] and become a [big shot]
Yes, but in Deltarune, you meet Jevil in Chapter 1 and THEN his rival in Chapter 2, plus when naming the fallen human in Undertale, you can type "Jevil" but not "Spamton" fully. There's a 6-character limit; this is why Papyrus says "I'LL ALLOW IT!!!" when you type in "Papyru". Of course, nothing happens when you type in "Spamto" (presumably). Oh, and Jevil's name is alphabetically before Spamton's, unless Spamton decided that he wanted everyone to call him by his middle name (which I'm imagining as "Getalife"), in which case he'd be alphabetically before Jevil.
would love to see another one of these when more deltarune content comes out, definitely want to put your attention on that deltarune: the other puppet sparked a massive group of people on to creating high effort tracks repeatedly swapping the other puppet to "Deltarune: The Same Puppet" then back to "The Same Other puppet" and back and forth over and over. it's like a whole funhouse mirror thing
18:07 Actually slower background tracks are one of the more fun parts of doing vgm as a whole. Everyone already knows you can do boss/battle music so that brings the challange of taking your skillset to a completly different corner and still making a vibe. And that's exactly what I love about doing vgm. It's such a wide spectrum of sound your not limited to one type of sound for everything you make.
As small as it may be, the Deltarune AU portion of the Deltarune fandom is honestly quite exciting. Undertale AU's (or at least some of them) are already really cool, taking stuff from the OG game/story, and reinventing it into new stories. Deltarune is basically Undertale but more, so AU's coming from it already have a great head start of elements to fiddle around with. Personally my favorite ones already have to be Deltarune: Rift, Deltarune: Resurgent Star, Paper Trails, The Other Puppet, Chapter Rewritten, and Alter Heaven. They all do cool new takes on the original story, and add in their own ideas to make it unique, and it's nice you mentioned some of them in this video. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see more videos!!!
Creator of Alter Heaven here, just want to thank you so much for the name drop. Also putting me in a list with the greats has got me feeling all kinds of wacky haha, thank you.
By the way, if you (or anyone else) make a followup video, I’d LOVE to see something on people making AUs of AUs. Like, there were SO many Undertale AUs that were just “What if AU but also other AU?” and it was great. And as a Chapter Rewritten fan, I’ve been recommended like 3 different Chapter Dewrittens, which are usually different takes on Un-Rewriting the Rewritten characters. It’s like if there was an Underswapswap or something. It’s great, it lets people cover new concepts for the same characters if they want ofr make brand new characters if they want too. Some people think it’s fun to take certain design quirks from their Rewritten versions and re-apply some of the name changes again and go from there, while others just wanna merge the two Chapters and then pull them apart again into one big wad of Deltarune. Like, Scampton’s fight has an act that has you roll some dice and another that’s a dice rolling timing minigame, and so one guy decided that, since Spamton and Junkil both have ties to money and fame and losing it all right when they’ve finally made it and their shops have costs that change rapidly, their Dewrite would be a gambler and their NEO design would include a slot machine.
for some reason, i really love the “FLOWEY” track from deltatraveler. every time i remember it it stays stuck in my head for days. (btw, deltatraveler is an ongoing playable au fangame that i highly recommend! though it also has games other than deltarune)
I am literally so surprised that there isn't at least one or two fan fountains, I mean, you can create a whole dark world of a specific theme from 1 room
Finally someone has done like a legit commentary on this stuff, love you for that, I will watch ANY and all content related to this you post in the future.
8:23 YOOOOOO! Thanks for talking about chapter rewritten!! I am currently a part of the team myself. (I am the VFX person. AKA: The one who made the cloud and KEYGEN effect in the Big Bang music video). So it is quite exciting to see something I helped work on being discussed. Also, excellent video.
Glad to see someone on youtube finally acknowledging the SoundCloud AU music, GOD DAMN that shit was good back in the day. I remember someone even making me a MEGALO called Insomnia, still up on my soundcloud
thing about spamton and why peeps are obsessed with him and his theme: it shows how to chaotically mash different leimotives without it sounding too bad and then becomes a popular way for people to experiment by adding/remixing leimotives into the song (hence why people make versions of his song so much)
i know this isn't REALLY an au, or have many fanmade tracks, but i really like Deltarune: Repainted, even if its just a memefest for the sake of being a memefest
Loved the video! The editing is superb, while I don't know much about undertale AUs or deltaruin AUs your sense of comedy and clean edits made it a fun watch even tho I wasn't really super interested in the topic before watching
YOO MY ROOK VID IS HERE THIS IS SO COOL!! Love the little analysis you did here, shedding light on fan creations rather than the official game itself is def a unique idea and is def something I'm a big fan of!
11:29 Mike’s Big Showdown’s GJ page says that this version of Mike is both the main and secret boss, with Kris needing to, as per usual, collect a secret item to unlock the fight. I believe the whole thing is like finding Mike’s remote probably. This also explains why Laugh Track uses Big Shot and The World Revolving (Although, yes, TV Mike’s design is a bit overkill since Spamton canonically stole his glasses from Swatch anyways)
I am writing a darkners-lightners swap au, although it's pretty nuanced and underworked, it also has the same Kris and Player. I would love to write some music for it but i am not a musician, and i really don't have time for comic, so it's mostly a bunch of concepts. Also there's a really fun non-swap AU called Neglected Oversight, it's more "underfellish" but done in a very unique and cool way!
Personally, I don't spend too much time reading up on AUs (though I appreciate the creativity, you guys keep the fandom alive), but I still have to admit that the music is kind of a guilty pleasure and favorite part of them and I still have a lot of those original tracks in my personal listening playlists just cause they're so good lmao. Can't wait to see what other bangers are made in the future cause I think we have some loooong years ahead of us :)
Oh yeah I'm really enjoying the fan content so far. A huge aspect I like about it, is that since the game is still unfinished, a lot of content is surrounding what the unsolved mysteries and stories are. It's been really cool seeing people theorize what might happen next, what if's, all that jazz.
Really well said! I have very similiar opinions on all of these. It's always nice to find tracks about my favourite characters, music representing completly new ideas and remixes in general. The quality is really good and many of them fit the original game perfectly. As you said to get more consistency with things like AUs we still need for the game to be complete. That doesn't mean we can't have fun imagining the future though 😁
As someone who has been in this fandom since like 2016, and is obsessed with both the official games and all of the AU's, I'm shocked no one had made a video like this, for Undertale there's a few but not for Deltarune. I have been into Deltarune AU's and it's music for years at this point and seeing all of these amazing fanmade songs finally be acknowledged in a video that wasn't a cover or original arrangement is wonderful. Basically every au and song you mentioned I've at least seen and i really love how creative and amazing the fandom is at doing basically entire games and soundtrack out of passion, i also didn't expect "!!!" To get a shout-out as it's one of the few spamton fan songs that hasn't gotten a cover or anything at all from what I've seen, it's also one of my personal favorites. I'm working on my own AU's with friends and it makes me happy that even if the au community is smaller than Undertale, amazing fan songs still constantly come out. Also want some fun is underrated.
Imagine people making their Deltaswap as we know more and then race to be the ones to make first OFFICIAL Deltaswap (i don't consider any AUs to Deltarune as a whole official yet (those meant for whole game))
I disagree with saying that Chapter Rewritten was designed without Chapters 3+ in mind. I believe that The Winterer already has a rough idea for Chapters 3-5, and Junkil very explicitly only mentions Seam and not Mike or Tenna (since they’re moved to Chapter 4) and Scampton makes no references to Qing in the official playable experience. The story so far seems more closed off from future Chapters, but it doesn’t seem like it’s “Designed without future Chapters in mind”
How dare you not call (7:54) a banger!! I put a lot of work into that...... In all seriousness though, I had to do a double-take when I saw some of my stuff featured here, like my Other Puppet tracks and my art of R.V Pine's Cam. Almost gave me a heart attack, I'm not used to being recognized!! Really good analysis overall, too!! It was fun hearing your takes on how all of these Deltarune SoundCloud shenanigans look from an outside context. There's a lot of good content in there that I think people tend to overlook, so it's a real treat seeing a larger content creator put a spotlight on it. I hope this inspires people to look into more of this little niche, and maybe even throw some of their own takes out there.
My personal favorite Mike interpretation is Modtro64’s take. He’s much taller and leans better into the gameshow host aspect, plus his take has a secret boss as well!
One deltarune fan made song I recommend is "TAKE ME WITH YOU" by Ciphgowhat,This song is an unofficial secret boss take for chapter 6, and the secret boss is the vessel from the beginning of the game.
hey i made i can you can and a bit of battle against the world and id like to say thank you for making a video about the au community, cause no one really knows about us too much! with your background music choice im glad i can notice some people i know which means you did some good digging!
id love a sequel to this video as some much amazing fan work has been made since or hasnt been touched on in the video (also there were not enough fan made secret bosses talked about)
it's so funny that some people ascertain underswap as the origins of aus. Admittedly underfell was slightly later than the og team (i know bc i was on it) but the version of underswap popularly known today absolutely *isn't* the same underswap worked on by myself and the team. even though we all ditched it. I loved your dissection of it all and your showcase of the music! keep making content, man!
This was a great video! I've also thought about the ver different au culture (is that even a thing?) between the two games! But, let me just say I love your little smug ghost guy, very squeezable.
i am so glad that youtube has recommend me this. It's been a while since i have'nt discovered a channel that makes me want to rewatch a video again ! You deserve more stats
You have no idea how excited red was when he told us he (and fleur) were in this video my art even gets to show up briefly which is neat as hell (I did the sprite for his Mike track)
i think deltarune rewritten may just swap 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and then make a completely different ending with the characters so far in chapter 7 because chapter 7 is most likely just going to be the ending, and not introduce a ton of new characters, though i could be completely wrong. edit: very likely that we fight the 3 titans too, deltarune rewritten may just swap around the titans i guess? i dunno-
Related to this video I've seen several Deltarune "AU"s pop up purely from music, with lore as an afterthought. And honestly I'm here for it, I think it's neat An example would be SEPTXK's songs, with Spamton = Wario and Jevil = Waluigi. A great one is Zelda CD-i Rune, a series of YTPMVs by Jeff Lindblom, they're very well done. Heck, theres even plenty of fan songs with no AU attached! I know its another Mario example but theres LINE UP THE PICTURES AND, which is a toad-themed NYCTBA. Back when fan music for the game first started being made, a lot of it was simple soundfont changes. Now it's become a lot more, a true form of creative expression and love for the game and community! I look forward to seeing what the future has in store.
I could make a few Deltarune AUs/Fanfictions and music with them. I could even make a 5 minute track with each minute being a different color of an emotion, 1st minute being a white purely wholesome song, second song could be a yellow ray of sunshine that is just having fun fighting, 3rd song would be a red, anger-fueled over how frustrating it is to beat Kris, a purple toxic dump over how I need to get better or just how much this game needs balance, then a pitch black sense of hopelessness in the fight, then it goes into a calm blue sense of serenity before starting all over. Start the fight with a smile, fail and wonder what you're doing wrong, then just reason that there's nothing wrong with the fight, and then start all over again. That's an emotional cycle that gLiTcH would be perfectly represented with, though the constant same logical beat just different emotional tempo is EmperorBoo's musical direction, constant yet different. Then there would probably be the slight bit of vocals here and there that would just represent my singing bit being both me joining in the singing and just trying to negotiate with everyone and trying to stop the fight. And as for EmperorSheep, he can just have a more normal, atmospheric bossfight that's more in line with a Minecraft, Little Big Planet, Yoshi type of calm song. The Flowey bit would still be interesting, though the radio and the endless possibilities could be interesting.
another cool 'prediction' style AU is deltarune reimagined, by ZET - their chapter 5 secret boss concept, Occazio, is my favourite deltarune fan character ever and his theme is sick
Oh and theres also those “What if Noelle lost her way?” animations by SpriterMike that i think capture the vibe of official deltarune content/sprites really well Feel free to check it out if you want to it’s on youtube
oh my gosh, i was randomly looking at deltarune videos and was super interested with what you had to present... i had no idea that id find my music and channel at the end!! seriously so awesome, love your videos and keep up the great work!!
Just so everyone is aware deltarune chapter rewritten also swaps lightners. Kris with Asriel Susie with Noelle And Ralsei with a original character named charkis. (Ik hes not a lightner) And berdly with lancer
this is my first video i've seen from you and my man is a fellow dougdoug fan AND saruky fan cause i heard that uncanny valley instrumental in the background at 1:02
The way the Deltarune community has AUs that are "one concept done several times in different ways by different people" is a lot more in line with how AUs are done normally in fandom. And AUs that swap characters roles or morality (or both) tend to be some of the most common. The way AUs are done in the Undertale Fandom is really unusual.
I have so many thoughts on this video, because I found it so cool! Firstly, I was the same. I loved AU music and my soundcloud had so many of them liked LMAO so most of my AU knowledge came from the music. Man, the nostalgia. Secondly, In terms of the deltarune AUs, I like them all so much! I love to see the creativity of this fanbase returning again!
Deltarune is a lot harder to make fan content for, thanks to the more complex music and sprites. However, I did make a deltarune crossover AU called "DeltaFerb", it's Deltarune + Phineas and Ferb. I already have a lot of the OST up if anyone is interested.
Fun fact for Chapter Rewritten: I gave the ideas for the scampton long furby and the Junkil worm on string emojis for discord. Someone asked something like for a prompt or ideas for something to draw and I came up with those and the neat thing is that I came up with them before the Spamton worm on a string.
Ooooo this is a really good video!! Though another Deltarune AU i wish more ppl would get into is spectacledraws’ College AU. ITS SUPER FLUFFY & WHOLESOME!! Asriel and Chara go to the same college together, with one of their professors being Gaster (Gaster from the world of Deltarune, not the one from Undertale). The trio go on adventures in Dark Worlds at their campus, and try to find their Knight while dealing with typical college stuff (the creator hasn’t gotten into the specifics of the Dark Worlds yet but she did make designs and talksprites for the trio’s Dark World versions). It’s technically more of an extension of DR, but the Chara + Asriel + Gaster trio is a really interesting/comedic dynamic. The AU is mostly just art rn, but someone also made a fanmade track for prof Gaster iirc
If we’re going with themes of being discarded and themes of the world they’re in, if chapter 3’s world is based on TV it would make sense if the secret boss was based on filler episodes of tv shows, sense filler episodes are often skipped
Deltarune AUs have serious poetintial and the amount of representation in this video is awesome, and the critics are very well done. and the fact one of my characters and my friends are here in the video just puts a smile on my face. Thanks for making an awesome video.
about 12:30 - i am sure the third chapter theme is television shows and stuff like that so if the secret bosses in chapters are based on things that are never used than, what type of shows/show making equipment is never used? (okay watched a bit more of the video, and i agree with the radio idea)
i had the predictions of Chapter 3's secret boss either being the butterscoth pie that Susie and Toriel baked, or the knock off 3rd party controller that Kris used to play Super Smashing Fighters with Asriel.
Just discovered your channel, and WOW do you deserve more subscribers! This was an incredible video, and I loved the fact tat you mentioned Deadringer, because it's my favorite fan song (and for the same reasons haha). Also I absolutely love your lil character
My idea for a secret boss would be an abandoned morning cartoon. It represents the discarded theme, as it is in the morning, maybe at 7-O-Clock, and everyone wants sleep at that time. It also represents the theme of the dark world, TV stuff, since it is a cartoon.
"as it is in the morning, maybe at 7-O-Clock, and everyone wants sleep at that time." The peppy and smug villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons who usually get up at that time, unless they're cooking/crafting/sick/it's their birthdays or the player's birthday/moving in/moving out:

I've heard.

Actually slower background tracks are one of the more fun parts of doing vgm as a whole.

@@Readyplayerclay No worries! It really is a cool series and I can't wait to see where it goes!!!
Man, this channel is the _embodiment_ of “telling it like it is”.
I’m impressed.

Ok Battle Against The World from Chapter Rewritten is AMAZING!!! You can't deny that!
I am literally so surprised that there isn't at least one or two fan fountains, I mean, you can create a whole dark world of a specific theme from 1 room
PLEASE make an update and talk about the puppet pipeline, it's actually insane
they kept swaping the 'the other puppet' roles back and forth but the music is great
@@SillyGuy-ng4cc I've heard.
I remember someone even making me a MEGALO called Insomnia, still up on my soundcloud
thing about spamton and why peeps are obsessed with him and his theme: it shows how to chaotically mash different leimotives without it sounding too bad and then becomes a popular way for people to experiment by adding/remixing leimotives into the song (hence why people make versions of his song so much)
14:01 Oí, that's a sick mashup! I love how you mixed everything sounds totally like a final boss or the credits version somehow.
i know this isn't REALLY an au, or have many fanmade tracks, but i really like Deltarune: Repainted, even if its just a memefest for the sake of being a memefest
I love how you somehow became Spamton in this video, just putting in random clips from all over the internet was very funny

@@yellowstarproductions6743 Stop agreeing with everything!!! You're not KazooCat; you didn't make the video!
This video is honestly incredible. When I see videos this well edited (I especially liked the musical segments) it makes me glad that TH-cam exists.
Tbf the design could be referencing the basement face
I am writing a darkners-lightners swap au, although it's pretty nuanced and underworked, it also has the same Kris and Player. I would love to write some music for it but i am not a musician, and i really don't have time for comic, so it's mostly a bunch of concepts.
Also there's a really fun non-swap AU called Neglected Oversight, it's more "underfellish" but done in a very unique and cool way!
Yo, I wasn't expecting to see the Photon Negative creator here! Love your art!
@@dantesdiscoinfernolol omg i am famous °o°
It's been really cool seeing people theorize what might happen next, what if's, all that jazz.
i wish this video was made more recently, because theres so many more cooler concepts for secret bosses, like Big Brandal C or screepto
Wait, so there's a song with only three exclamation marks in the title and nothing else?
Mashup at 14:00 goes hard, good job!
My favourite AU (if you can call it that) is Deltarune: Ribbit. It's a really fun mod of DELTARUNE that has a whole different story and characters.
I've heard how good Ribbit is.
My personal favorite Mike interpretation is Modtro64’s take. He’s much taller and leans better into the gameshow host aspect, plus his take has a secret boss as well!
14:00 but wait, it all mix together so well. what
It's in these kinds of moments I wish I could compose. But at least I have the creative power for creating my own AU. I'll start thinking about that.
One deltarune fan made song I recommend is "TAKE ME WITH YOU" by Ciphgowhat,This song is an unofficial secret boss take for chapter 6, and the secret boss is the vessel from the beginning of the game.
hey i made i can you can and a bit of battle against the world and id like to say thank you for making a video about the au community, cause no one really knows about us too much! with your background music choice im glad i can notice some people i know which means you did some good digging!
id love a sequel to this video as some much amazing fan work has been made since or hasnt been touched on in the video (also there were not enough fan made secret bosses talked about)
I’m so glad you brought up Dead Ringer, it’s one of my absolute favorite fan songs.
Wished we get more JEVIL CONTENT
HE NEEDS MORE SONGS FR FR
Yes he does! ALL HAIL JEVIL!!!! LONG LIVE JEVIL!!!!!
it's so funny that some people ascertain underswap as the origins of aus.

This is a very fun and interesting analysis on Deltarune AU's! I love your insight and general means of conveying info!
You have no idea how excited red was when he told us he (and fleur) were in this video
my art even gets to show up briefly which is neat as hell (I did the sprite for his Mike track)
i think deltarune rewritten may just swap 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and then make a completely different ending with the characters so far in chapter 7 because chapter 7 is most likely just going to be the ending, and not introduce a ton of new characters, though i could be completely wrong.
edit: very likely that we fight the 3 titans too, deltarune rewritten may just swap around the titans i guess? i dunno-

I've seen several Deltarune "AU"s pop up purely from music, with lore as an afterthought. And honestly I'm here for it, I think it's neat
An example would be SEPTXK's songs, with Spamton = Wario and Jevil = Waluigi.
This video is so good that whenever it pops up, I just keep watching it.
Amazing job on the video!
The Flowey bit would still be interesting, though the radio and the endless possibilities could be interesting.
another cool 'prediction' style AU is deltarune reimagined, by ZET - their chapter 5 secret boss concept, Occazio, is my favourite deltarune fan character ever and his theme is sick
please post the mashups in 14:00 they all slap so hard 🔥🔥

Just so everyone is aware deltarune chapter rewritten also swaps lightners.
Kris with Asriel
Susie with Noelle
And Ralsei with a original character named charkis. (Ik hes not a lightner)
And berdly with lancer
Well technically they fusion lancer some attributes and the body of berdly to make nerdly
this is my first video i've seen from you
and my man is a fellow dougdoug fan AND saruky fan cause i heard that uncanny valley instrumental in the background at 1:02
The way the Deltarune community has AUs that are "one concept done several times in different ways by different people" is a lot more in line with how AUs are done normally in fandom.
HOW is this video this well edited????

Ok its is specially uncanny seeing a video essay refering the specific flavour of undertale niche I was nurtured in. I'm all for it.
Deltarune is a lot harder to make fan content for, thanks to the more complex music and sprites. However, I did make a deltarune crossover AU called "DeltaFerb", it's Deltarune + Phineas and Ferb. I already have a lot of the OST up if anyone is interested.
there's 104 days of dark world exploration
Fun fact for Chapter Rewritten: I gave the ideas for the scampton long furby and the Junkil worm on string emojis for discord. Someone asked something like for a prompt or ideas for something to draw and I came up with those and the neat thing is that I came up with them before the Spamton worm on a string.
im telling tyou that mashup section in the predictions slaped way more than it need to
Ooooo this is a really good video!!
7:47 Yo!! I made apartment abode! So cool to see it in this video haha
9:24 HOLY SHIT THATS ME!
Deltarune AUs have serious poetintial and the amount of representation in this video is awesome, and the critics are very well done.
and the fact one of my characters and my friends are here in the video just puts a smile on my face. Thanks for making an awesome video.
"and the fact one of my characters and my friends are here in the video" Who?
about 12:30 - i am sure the third chapter theme is television shows and stuff like that so if the secret bosses in chapters are based on things that are never used than, what type of shows/show making equipment is never used?
(okay watched a bit more of the video, and i agree with the radio idea)
i had the predictions of Chapter 3's secret boss either being the butterscoth pie that Susie and Toriel baked, or the knock off 3rd party controller that Kris used to play Super Smashing Fighters with Asriel.
Just discovered your channel, and WOW do you deserve more subscribers! This was an incredible video, and I loved the fact tat you mentioned Deadringer, because it's my favorite fan song (and for the same reasons haha). Also I absolutely love your lil character
It’s sad that you never talked more about the booger man. EVEN THOUGH HES THE FUCKING GUY WHO MADE THE FNAF VHS TAPES!!!!!
My idea for a secret boss would be an abandoned morning cartoon.
It represents the discarded theme, as it is in the morning, maybe at 7-O-Clock, and everyone wants sleep at that time.
It also represents the theme of the dark world, TV stuff, since it is a cartoon.
"as it is in the morning, maybe at 7-O-Clock, and everyone wants sleep at that time." The peppy and smug villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons who usually get up at that time, unless they're cooking/crafting/sick/it's their birthdays or the player's birthday/moving in/moving out:
really glad you included HEAVEN SAYS, it's probably my favorite deltarune fansong
