.310 sizer. If you are going to get one of the amazon kits to do this, get one that also has a .312 sizer. That .312 sizer is an "intermediate" sizer and allows the .310 sizer to slide on easier with less change of damaging the seals.
@fixingcarswith15thstautomo36 Thanks for that info. I will definitely do that. I appreciate you take the time and effort to share your videos and experience. Thanks again!
You could certainly use silicone spray. Carb Spray evaporates and is gone immediately upon installation. It's what I've used for 40 years, no sense in changing now.

Used to just hate it when a customer brought in a vehicle to get fixed after they worked on it. Pretty well guaranteed you were replacing everything they replaced because they toofed it.
It is a bad design. The reason you cannot reuse is because the ball at the end deforms slightly when tightened. These had been reused and were sraying fuel into the intake valley. Making a very dangerous situation.
@@fixingcarswith15thstautomo36 how much would it have cost to fix if it had been regular efi vs direct injection divide that by the fuel savings not a good deal.
Really appreciate your diagnostic skills and attention to details
Subscribed. Needed this. Thank you.
Excellent step by step tutorial. Looking forward for part 2.
I'm pretty excited about part 2, it's a cool diagnosis. I'll likely post it Thursday.
Fantastic detailed video!! You are a master tech!!
Wow, thanks!
nice video . I was waiting for detailed seal installiation
I thought it was pretty detailed. How could I have made it better?
Great video, Steve! Thank you for sharing. Wondered what installation/sizing tool kit you used for the seals?

Great video but wouldn’t silicone spray be better than carb cleaner on the seals. Just curious

Good detailed fix. Why are the lines one use only?
Because they deform slightly when you torque them.

I don't disagree.
Hi ,sir you have to use pico to check relative compression test it may has bad lifter cylinder number one
I did a relative compression test using a scope, but this video was more about the injector replacement.
don't see why the injector lines couldn't be made reusable . i know you have to replace but thats a bad design

as long as i can stay in business wouthout working on direct injection i send them down the road. wouldn't want to own one to much upkeep
Direct injection isn't really that different, other than the pressures are higher. There is an extra fuel pump but it's just a pump.
