Hi Shakayla, my name is Sabrina from Norfolk VA. I just recently started following you on TH-cam and Instagram. I did print the list and will download it to my phone. I am not vegan but for health reasons, I am absolutely trying to work this out. Right now my dining room table is covered with a lot of the items you mention in this video. So for that I am grateful. My problem is I have watched so many of your videos, now its time to cook, I don't know where to start. I am a diabetic with high cholesterol and I just stopped taking my medication for cholesterol. My joints and bones hurt so bad, you'd think I was 100 years old getting out of the chair. I am 59/60, ok smiles. So thanks for all the real talk and suggestions. Long term vegan here. I'd suggest you compare the ingredients and processing of TVP vs Butler Soy Curls. I think you'll find the soy curls are a "cleaner" product in both what they contain and how they are processed. I always keep frozen broccoli, edamame, cauliflower, and dino kale on hand. I did discover the latter can be easily washed, dried, chopped and frozen without blanching and will keep frozen up to 6 months. I freeze my own as I don't like thick stems in my kale. So easy to grab a handful and add to whatever I'm cooking. I really like the barilla high protein, plant based pastas. (yellow pkg). The price is great. Really great, down to earth list. Beautiful video! I’ve only tasted chicken about twice in my life and beef once by accident lol. Vegetarian here. I recommend people to look up the profile of flavor. Then look into how to make flavor bases. For example, for the savory side of the profile you can combine shallots, garlic and a mix of mushrooms for a savory base. Simmer mushrooms in water first for more flavor before sautéing. The more you learn about flavor the better you’ll be able to tolerate a plant based diet and stick to it.
Hello! Great video! I have been vegan for 8 years and my husband for 7 years. He struggled with giving up bacon and cheese...but he got through that phase. Thank you for the additional meal ideas and product / food options! It's amazing once becoming vegan - my food variety and meal choices are endless.

I happened to stumble across this video tonight, and it was very enlightening. I changed my eating habits five years ago, trying to be more health conscious. Its hard to go completely plant based because my daughter loves her meat but I'm slowly transitioning to plant based. This gave me an idea of what i need in my pantry that i don't have. A sprouts opened not too far from me and after watching this video i told my sister you are about to have me in sprouts this week looking for some of these items.
@@MyChannelAboutNothing Just made 5 month and Yes! The biggest and best change I’ve seen is my digestion/bowel movements (TMI sorry) This has always been a problem for me and not anymore. My gut health has improved. I feel so much lighter and not irritated anymore. Also, most of my levels are normal (cholesterol, kidneys, liver, etc.) Only thing I struggle with is Vitamin D. Taking it orally hurt my stomach but now I have a puppy and get out a lot more than I used to. Hoping with several trips out in the sun it will come up to normal levels. This is by far the best thing I have done for myself. Wish I had sense to do this sooner.
@@YourRoyalHighness255 Breakfast was the hardest with the elimination of eggs, bacon and sausage. Now I eat oatmeal with fruit in it or on the side, non dairy yogurt with granola, bran cereal (or some kind of organic cereal), I replaced sausage with a plant based sausage, topped with plant base cheese, vegannaise mayo and Killer Dave’s Bagels. There are so many things you can make but I tend to keep my meals simple for the most part and splurge on making a big one from scratch when I’m in the mood or visiting a vegan restaurant. Hope this helps.

Hi My name is Sharon. I'm here trying to find out all I can while on my journey. I'm new but, I'm determined. Thanks for mentioning all of the different food items to get your vitamins which is where I seem to be struggling the most.
I make lentil patties with a whole garlic or 2, Parmesan cheese, grind oatmeal (as a flour substitute), red onions and cilantro it is so amazing. Cook lentil 20-30 max or I will bring to a rapid boil and let them sit until I have cleaned and prepped ingredients. Smash lentil and mix all ingredients then form a patty. Spray air fryer, spray the top of the patty and cook 8-10 max depending on how thick they are because you want the middle to be of a meaty texture. I am inspired by the meals you cook because I'm looking for dairy and sugar alternatives. 😊
OMG okay so…first I would like to say this is my first full video of watching you and I had already been to your blog and I am looking into more videos by you. Love the concept and the energy you bring. I think what solidified it for me was all the seasonings you have….many people just don’t understand the need for different flavors to dishes and you need A LOT of them to get an extra tasty meal. I know your food is good just by all the seasonings. I have subscribed to other people but when I make their meals I am quickly disappointed or add my own flavors to make it better.
You popped up in my Instagram feed. Found your TH-cam channel and immediately did your food prep vide this weekend. I made quinoa, a minestrone plant based soup, and your mixed veggie and sausage roasted in the oven, roasted red pepper sauce, and your oven fried crispy tofu. I am so looking forward to what bowls and pasta I do this week with these ingredients already prepped. I also have the kale to make this week, thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge. I have been plant based since 2019 but found I was using too many alternatives and vegan ready made junk food. Wanted to focus on more eating whole food plant based. Your video on your kitchen staples was wonderful as well. Light bulb moment for me was when you mentioned making 2 carbs, 2 veggies, 2 proteins, and a sauce when you meal prep. It is going to help so much during the week with mixing up my food items to make different meals. I truly like to keep it exciting for my non plant-based hubby who has autoimmune issues I am trying to reduce the inflammation in his body. Your videos are right on time. 😊

My name is Sharon. I'm here trying to find out all I can while on my journey. I'm new but, I'm determined. Thanks for mentioning all of the different food items to get your vitamins which is where I seem to be struggling the most.
I make lentil patties with a whole garlic or 2, Parmesan cheese, grind oatmeal (as a flour substitute), red onions and cilantro it is so amazing. Cook lentil 20-30 max or I will bring to a rapid boil and let them sit until I have cleaned and prepped ingredients.
Smash lentil and mix all ingredients then form a patty. Spray air fryer, spray the top of the patty and cook 8-10 max depending on how thick they are because you want the middle to be of a meaty texture. I am inspired by the meals you cook because I'm looking for dairy and sugar alternatives. 😊
OMG okay so…first I would like to say this is my first full video of watching you and I had already been to your blog and I am looking into more videos by you. Love the concept and the energy you bring. I think what solidified it for me was all the seasonings you have….many people just don’t understand the need for different flavors to dishes and you need A LOT of them to get an extra tasty meal. I know your food is good just by all the seasonings. I have subscribed to other people but when I make their meals I am quickly disappointed or add my own flavors to make it better.
You popped up in my Instagram feed. Found your TH-cam channel and immediately did your food prep vide this weekend. I made quinoa, a minestrone plant based soup, and your mixed veggie and sausage roasted in the oven, roasted red pepper sauce, and your oven fried crispy tofu. I am so looking forward to what bowls and pasta I do this week with these ingredients already prepped. I also have the kale to make this week, thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge. I have been plant based since 2019 but found I was using too many alternatives and vegan ready made junk food. Wanted to focus on more eating whole food plant based. Your video on your kitchen staples was wonderful as well. Light bulb moment for me was when you mentioned making 2 carbs, 2 veggies, 2 proteins, and a sauce when you meal prep. It is going to help so much during the week with mixing up my food items to make different meals. I truly like to keep it exciting for my non plant-based hubby who has autoimmune issues I am trying to reduce the inflammation in his body. Your videos are right on time. 😊

I'm still figuring how to make a full meal for my family with meat alternatives. I've only made a few meals using baby bella mushrooms and chickpeas.
