I really like how this game insentives you to do creative techniques. one of the most useful imo which isnt immediately obvious is that you can take down two gaurds close to eqch other very easily if you shot both in the leg once with the tranq. they dont reqct much, since there is no immediate effect so its much easier to shot both in quick succession, and the second one to fall asleep isnt awake long enough to send out an alarm. which is something you really dont think about since head shots are usually the way to go. The fact that seemingly less useful things have their own uses is great.
18:53 i know about you knowing of sneaking past the skulls, but there is a better way, considering a skull can actually be in the area you are trying to escape too for extraction, instead, you defeat 3 of the skulls, then sneak past the last one, this will allow one skull to make everyone into the... puppet things, who will not be in your way in getting to extraction, trust me, i tried sneaking past all 4, and regretted it since the mission is a good spot for massive farming for soldiers
@@sweatyvetter Take out 3 skulls, then all enemies are puppets. Take out the last Skull (look for the laser pointer) and they all get knockedd out. I did this mission I am sure 100times to farm soldiers that way
For mission 30/Skull face, you can just throw a smoke grenade in the jeep, and drive through, unspotted. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I dont think that breaks any rules, as long as you stay below the gmp limit.
Regarding Proxy War with No End, instead of the Stout, there’s a mounted machine gun in the camp all the vehicles congregate at that you can use to down the Chopper.
No rocket launcher needed for Sahelantropus. Just use the vehicles in the level. The canon of the Rocket Vehicles are great (their secondary) The mist he does only destroys nearby vehicles and there are enough around. That way allowed me to beat it on Hard mode

Mission 30 is genuinely one of my favorites in the entire game and one thing that I've learned from trying to optimize it, is that you really do not need to rush it to get the points for time. Skullface is actually one of the few missions you can get the "no traces left" bonus (meaning no shots fired, items used or guards attacked) which is worth like a 100,000 points on it's own. And since this requires beating the level in full stealth anyways you basically get the S-Rank for free with the right route, which was basically the one you were taking already btw.
@@sweatyvetter the part where I would have diverged was taking the path through the building on the right instead of shooting the camera and later picking the red door ahead of you instead of taking the stairs up since there is a ladder on the other side of the builing that lets you wait out the guard rotation and make your way to the final gate just like you did
@sweatyvetter I watched a youtuber no trace it by just rolling down the middle and waiting when soldiers passed close by. It's gimmicky and doesn't feel right to me but you can beat the mission in less than ten minutes doing it, if it interests you
Tbh. I never really ever used that mechanic in these games… I didn’t know it was an indefinite timer on hold ups until I’ve gotten a couple comments about it. I’ll be using them more moving forward 😅
I'm surprised you never took advantage of the hold-up mechanic to save on your ammo/suppressor, although I wasn't even aware of it until my third playthrough. Basically if you get behind an enemy and aim at them, you can then make them lie down and they're effectively incapacitated. Works even better than tranq and KO-ing them too because they'll *never* get back up unless another soldier spots them or the area goes on a combat alert. You can even do it to asleep/unconscious enemies by kicking them awake and aiming at them. Some enemies will try and be smart by pulling a knife on you and you can't do it to enemies in riot suits...unless you knock them over first. Going prone behind them and sweeping their leg will get them on their ass without KO-ing them. It's stupidly overpowered once you get the hang of it.
It's easy to identify enemies who will try a surprise attack if you hold them up, they won't say anything and the game won't give you the option to even try interrogating them. You can then react to that and quickly CQC throw them before they try anything. From my own experience, soldiers in full-body riot suits will always behave like that.
Yeah. In my experience, it also depends on their skill rank. B or below will almost always surrender where A-S++ will be more of a coin-toss. Either way, sweeping their leg while prone or taking their gun in CQC will always make them surrender regardless of their skill.
I actually began with trying this but it was taking FOREVER and ended up not getting an S grade because of time. :/ The other alternative is to use the mounted guns closer to the airport command center.. but they destroyed them on previous attempts and once they’re destroyed, they’re destroyed forever.
