A No Traces run is something I've thought about, but it always sounded like a headache. You not only did that, but upped the difficulty. You're a real legend. I just want to put this out here because it's not widely known: It is possible to get No Traces on C2W Subsistence. We only learned about it in the speedrun community a year or so ago, but a Chinese player named FeyaChan discovered a way to do it years ago. What you need to do is hop in the back of the truck that drives between outposts on the map. While standing in the back, you need to CQC kick the truck. It turns out that yes, you can destroy a vechicle with CQC kicks. Eventually the truck will drive to the outpost with the target comms equipment. Use the Afghan Lullaby tape to put guards to sleep. When the coast is clear, drive the truck as close to the radio as you can, then go back to kicking it. Eventually the truck will catch fire and explode, taking out the radio as long as it's close enough. This method takes a long time but it's the only known way to do it. FreyaChan and another player named WizardHwk are the only people to have done it as far as I'm aware, and they both have video footage.
In the Phantom Limbs, you can also put Miller on the horse, sneak around the Skulls unit, whistle for a horse and just go to LZ without being followed. Nice video, keep up good work man. I'm MGS fan since OG MGS1!
@@Poketroid23Wasn't aware of that, but I can confirm you can just change the LZ instead of going to the pre-selected one and the skulls won't even spawn.
So i dont know if you did that on purpose, but i have a tip for you in future runs and private playtroughs: In the Where do the bees sleep mission when you ran past the skulls and the mist clears you can just run back from where you came since all enemy soldiers are knocked down from the puppet control. then you can just call a chopper and leave immediately! no running away for a LZ needed! hope this helps
I love these videos. It inspired me to do as close as I could on console. Realised that wasn't enough and going to take the plunge into PC gaming just for the mods on this game, totally brings MGSV alive. Great content.

I really enjoyed this video. Most of the time I despise "challenge runs", since most just do a "can you finish X as Y" or add arbitrary BS, but this one is an actual challenge (and has clear restrictions). Although, my anxious ass makes me want to run pass everything and exploit the game as much as I can, so I don't feel compelled to do challenge runs like this. Also, I'd love to see a "Backup, Back Down (Subsistence + No Traces)" run out of this challenge. It is possible, but really boring (have fun doing it). Anyway, all that rambling to say... Amazing. Mission complete. That right there is why you are the best, Boss. The one and only.✌
Yeah. I kept all the vehicle extraction/demolition missions out of this because of obvious reasons. I would have to use D-Horse a bit more than I’d like. :/ But I’m keeping them in mind for future possibilities 😃 I’m glad you can just live these runs vicariously through me so you done have to do them ;)
