Three semesters. One is an externship. (So basically just working a job during the summer at a CIA-approved location. From my knowledge you wouldn’t be working too much tho so don’t let that be a worry. ) im joining this September too!

The knives are great quality and are easy to sharpen which is key when learning. Most students will get a new chef knife/other knives and they learn what they enjoy using. As you contribute in the industry you may grow closer to German or Japanese knives and find different ones you prefer. But the Mercer brand is excellent.
I’m also going to CIA and as far as I know, yes you can, my tour guide came from outside the US and I’m pretty sure there’s parts of the application and all about if you’re outside the US or not and you can put that info in
