- All-you-can-eat usually means giving up on price, quality, or taste.
But Bistro 1968 might have cracked the code.
With their all-day, all-you-can-eat dim sum special, they promise a deal that’s too good to last.
Is it true? Let’s find out if this incredible dim sum deal lives up to the hype.

Too good to last indeed. They didn't honor it earlier today (the first Saturday since they started it, as far as I'm aware), claiming it's only on the weekdays despite confirming earlier this week that it's everyday. I confirmed with the person at the front that it wasn't written anywhere and that because of that, they pulled down all the flyers promoting it in the restaurant.
😱😱😱😱😱 omg thanks for letting all of us know! That’s crazy!
Apparently they’ve updated their posters to include Mon-Fri only now….😂😢
@@PeterLisaKim Lisa's Cantonese is pretty good. They were better before the past year The sui mai is missing some shrimp on top and roe. The round tofu is real tofu with a fried skin and not egg. nice video over all😋
$20 a person for dimsums? Good deal! If you do 4 dishes, it would be more than $20 already. 😋😋
Is it really a good deal though? Party of 4 would pay $80. That's expensive. Party of 4 for dim sum at NBC is around $55 to $65 max.
You guys are undefeated with these uploads. I ended up spending $125 on dim sum at NBC
Life be expensive 😵💫
Gonna have to check this out soon 🤔
I’ve been to this place with my parents. All though we didn’t go there for dinner sum. We got their a la cart food. For 3 people we spent $125
Wow that price is amazing I would run to this place yummy egg tarts
All the best see you soon Happy Weekend
What a deal! I’m not surprised it’s in LA, I wish they would open one up in the Bay (which is where we are)
They won't because they don't want to have your car broken into 2 minutes after you walk in.
Where is it?
Next time I visit family I know where to go. Thanks
I've been here. They have that pork buns with the snow cap, something i consider a rarity since discovering it at Tim Ho Wan
Definitely a rarity that we don't think we've seen anywhere other than Tim Ho Wan. We enjoyed it when we ordered it for our previous video here 😃
Not worthy, we went a few days ago, and half of the items on the menu were not available. Only left those cheap items you can order. We decided not to sit down.😅
Looks good
Where is the location
i read reviews that if the place is very busy, it can take up to 20-30 mins to bring your food over after you ask for more. So to enjoy this AYCE, come during the weekday in the morning. No one wants to wait for your food that long when you only have 90 mins limit.
Appreciate the 90 min time limit detail. That makes a big difference
honestly, you two eat like birds🤣...I would eat what both of you ate combined! Thanks for the video!
😂 we need to get better at all-you-can-eat
If I lived anywhere close to this place, I would be eating here twice a week if not more. That $$ is not sustainable so enjoy it while you can.
When I was over at ST. GABRIEL a few months ago I tried Tim Ho Wan and Din Tai Fung it's was ok
I had heard about this place, but ppl have said the AYCE is deceptive. As for the steamed turnip cakes, Elite Restaurant in Monterey Park serves steamed turnip cake in a bowl. But I prefer the pan-fried squares. (Elite is currently still closed.)
Elite is likely permanently closed after the fire.
freaking all the All u can eat Buffets around me closed up after pandemic & this Freaking Democracy & inflation made by these mother fathers ..i really missed it
Love your reviews!
Appreciate your support!! 🙏🏻😊
Almost to 3,000 subs! LFG!
Hopefully soon! Thanks always for being here since day 1! 🙏🏻🍀
NOT THE CHICKEN FEET 😭😭😭
Your first chicken feet experience at All You Can Eat, LFG! 😂
For $20. A good value!
Indeed!! Great value!!🤩
I'm near a famous mouse on the opposite coast. We don't have that.
If you’re ever near the famous mouse on this coast, come check it out 😆
WHERE IS THIS PLACE LOCATED ?

So is this offer still good or not?
@@trojanfan1960 it’s only Monday to Friday. No holidays.
This is a greedy restaurant. Gary always tries to up sale expensive items. Both food and service are so so. No free lunch. Per person charge including T&T is $29. No worth it.
👍👍👍
If you have left overs, can you take it home. Since they’re charging you for it.
@@Jon-6969 yes, they charge you $3.99 per plate if you have leftover. (According to the most recent poster from the restaurant.)
A lot bad review on Google within 1 month
their dim sum SUCKS. it taste like the stuff you get at the frozen food section. it may be cheap, but I would never go back.
I read this place has microwaved dim sum 😅.
@@eatnplaytoday it definitely did not taste microwaved.
You went to the restaurant and all the Negative Reviews are sickening to read.
Wete are you?
AYCE dimsum NOT available on weekends per a lot of disappointed Yelp reviewers.
Yea we found that out the same way everyone else did. When we went, the signage never said anything about weekdays only 😞
I think you guys are giving this place more than it deserves, for the sake of making a video. Read the yelp reviews.
@@paul528i if you go watch any of our other videos, we always give our honest opinions and are never shy about saying our true thoughts. We did come here during the first few days they started doing the all you can eat so it could be that the reviews are bad because the restaurant is overwhelmed.
Good content but the crunchy sound effects are obnoxious
no good
The food was horrible
Where is this restaurant ? Thank you
Looks good
Ya, those are imitation crab meat, no way they put real crab for 1998
