Do you want to see us buy more collections like this?
Absolutely!
Yes, cos I’m never going to! 😂
Hell Yes! Great show! Re-living Ryan's Christmas' past and present!
Yes it's amazing to see how some people had the insight to preserve our childhood memories
Oh yea.
I'd love to see the follow-up video after you get the graded pieces back!
agreed. We need the follow up
@@AnotherGalaxyToys yes, I need closure 😀
Agreed. With examples this nice, you have to get them graded. It will make for a fantastic video.
yes i need to see that to
@@AnotherGalaxyToys never going to happen
Watching you unwrap these brought back SO many memories of birthdays and Christmases.
It's amazing that these lasted 40 years in such immaculate condition.
To this day, it still amazes me how anyone has the restraint, will power and foresight not to open any of these toys! I would crack those blisters in the checkout line back in 1985!
I've been a carded collector pretty much my whole life. I love the artwork and look of the packaging, especially back in the day. So yeah, I can't relate to your sentiment. I'm actually very picky about packaging too. If there is crease or flaws, it usually bothers me. Everyone is different I guess.
Oh I get it, now! I didn’t when I was 10 years old!
Part of my nostalgia for this stuff is the packaging. Instantly transports you back in time. I collect retro carded classified 6 inch figures as they appear similar on card (the art is not the same but it is close until you look it over real good. I think only toy line where package art was meh for me as a kid was Transformers. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t at Joe, He Man, or even Star Wars level (Star Wars vehicles with the figures and ships set up in a photo, that was pretty great to see). I got to meet Carson from 3D Joes last Saturday at Retro toy con. That whole website is based just on the presentation of the toys back then. I am with you though, when I was a kid, no holding me back from opening those!
@@geoffersongeofferies477 You'd be surprised how many people have old toys just tucked away and never opened. I have been buying toys after I outgrew actually playing with them since the 90's. When baseball cards were the big thing, these toys were dirt cheap. I could remember going to estate sales and flea markets before there was an ebay and all of this stuff was plentiful and I was buying it up.
I've been in estate sales were whoever lived there didn't have kids, but they'd somehow have toys that they must of bought for gifts and they forgot to give them to whoever. There were also small stores that sold toys and would have stuff from the 80's still sitting on the shelves into the 90's/2000's (I went into a stationary store one time and they had a bunch of M.A.S.K. vehicles and He-Man vehicles sitting in the way back of the store and I bought them all for like $10 apiece). But, yeah, as a kid I never thought of never opening toys until I got older and it dawned on me to not open toys.
You have to wonder if they were bought as a gift, not gifted for some reason, and sat in an attic, closet, or basement for 15-20 years.
as an adult its hard to recreate the level of excitement we would have as a child but it definitely gives me twinges of it. the fun i had with gi joe and transformers figures is something special
The level of excitement is not the same but the level of appreciation is completely different. As a kid I would have ripped those figures open! 🤣
I remember entire wall displays of all those GI Joe vehicles at TRU, Children's Palace, K-Mart and Hills. So cool seeing them in top condition after all this time!
Man! Yall are on point in this toy flip/love/collector thing! Great content 👌
This brings back memories as 85-86 was when I collected Joes, after that it was baseball, then basketball cards.
Had that exact Zartan and card. Had that Baroness. Had the mail away hooded Cobra Commander. Slightly surprised its not the crown jewel of the 2 Cobra Commanders, maybe due to open box verses sealed?
Nice collection
If I could go back in time, I wouldn't give up a minute of playing with my GI Joe's for the money they're worth today. One of the greatest memories of my life is walking in the living room christmas mornings and seeing the wall... er I mean box of the USS Flag. ( My dad still reminds me that it took him pretty much all day to build it, and there was a magazine that was the stickers to adorn it afterwards. Priceless, absolutely priceless. I thought so much of these images were destined to remain fading memories, it's truly heartwarming to see all these old friends again. I've yet to see a single thing I didn't have, and my gratitude to my parents grows more everytime I stumble across 1 of these. Thank you so very much.
That collection brought back some memories. My toys from the 80’s all burned in my parent’s house fire. I distinctly remember a ball of plastic with he-man, Star Wars and Joe heads sticking out of it… it was like John Carpenter made a Thing sequel with my toy collection. Thanks for the video!
Please don’t mess around with the format again! No need to have voice over or music, just great how it is! ❤
Yeah, only Sir David Attenborough gets the voice over part
13:47 ❤ I remember getting the APC for Christmas 🎄 I even remember where my parents hid it near the back of the tree behind the couch 😂
I had EVERY one of these as a kid plus the FLAGG and Helicopter....BUT this haul was a Christmas man/boys wet dream
The cameraman needs to zoom in closer. Wanted to see the Cobras up close.
Zoom in your video
@@heavyhitter5538i refuse to zoom in, they need to zoom in. What is wrong with you? 😠
So want that Zartan. Loved that character.
Wow. This just brought back memories back when I was a little boy and going through "tons" of Joes hanging in K-Marts looking for that Storm Shadow...and then finding the opened pacakge in a K-Mart dressing room. Ugh!!! But still great memories
That's my bread and butter right there. I had Joes before any other toy line back in the 80s. Amazing line.
I'm a joe collector, just finished the 8q to 94 line, all figures vehicles etc. 9000 is a steal. That zartan is around 1200, silver grand slam jump 1000, stormy 2000, baroness 1200, coco, 2000, mutt,200, spirit 1200. That's ungraded, even at 80s your looking at around 20k, those vehicles are around a 800 each. Wow
So funny to think back to when all these figures were wall to wall hanging off the shelves. Now to see how valuable they are still in package.
GI Joe had the bet artwork with Larry Hamas. I am drooling over all of these, but especially the Zartan!. Wow. Thx for showing.
Always nice to see a top-notch collection come in on this channel. Seeing the beat up junky stuff is fun too, but a pristine collection with some serious pieces is next level.
The Baroness, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander 😮
I’m happy to hear you like Duke….even with his mini-series comic earlier this year, I don’t feel he gets enough love. Thank you - very much - for the video and memories.
I wouldn’t even want to ship those if I was the buyer or seller, I’d be to scared it get lost in delivery
That's how we felt!
@toyfederation that's how I feel shipping out art and props that i make and sell. SCARY! I just mailed 2K in art this morning and it has me on edge.
Oh wow! Whats your art?
@toyfederation I do a lot of different art styles from digital, to paintings, markers, watercolor, sculptures, Gwar style latex props, masks, digital art... I have been drawing since I was a able to hold a pencil. I started drawing GI JOE when i was a kid but haven't drawn a Joe since the late 90's haha
I also edit video, audio and do some puppeteering, acting and voice work in a couple B movies, and I run a weekly live news show that has been going strong for 240 weeks 4.6 years straight.
Do you have an agreed value for insurance prior to sending?@toyfederation
When you were sliding the Dragonfly back into its box I almost came apart.
Lol!
Really like the channel guys.
My fav line, 'this is like Christmas right??'....'wait this was someone's Christmas!!"
..❤❤❤
Wow! What an amazing mail haul! It was like seeing you unwrap Christmas presents.
Utterly amazing experience and we’re grateful for you sharing this.

Morning guys! That was one amazing collection of carded Joes that you got in. The Cobra Officer was absolutely stunning. Great video as always. Yooo Joe!!!
Great video. So great to see those clean boxes after all these years.
My childhood relived...I had every single one of those...HAD!!!!!!!!!!
awesome Gijoe haul!! Love the package art. if I was rich I would buy 1 of everything carded and everything loose. Im mostly a loose collector but I can appreciate how awesome the card art is!!
Morning all :)
Good Morning!
Unbelievable collection I'm so jealous.....in a good way.
What a beautiful G.I. Joe collection :) Childhood memories galore!
17:07 Quit standing there. Help your boss goddamit!😂
Dont ask why,
but when i was 5 or so
, my twin and i were playing with vintage spiderman and dr. Octopus figures, and some how left them in the oven. Yes , Oven.
After dinner that night , they had melted into a plate sized blob, and it looked like they were in battle,
Still cant believe i ruined them like that.
I had the ewok village, and millennium falcon. And greyskull Castle.
Thanks.
Your videos bring me back!
Keepem comin!
Great collection TF
Beautiful! The colors on the figures and the boxes are amazing! The figures are easily 80+ or higher! I just sent in a Duke, Flint, Buzzer, Bazooka, and Ripcord and they all were 80+ but not as colorful as your set…. Truly amazing! I’d love to know the history as to where they were all of these years!
I have no attachment to this but oh my goodness, this is an amazing and beautiful collection. I’m in awe.
another great video. thank you.. I look forward to your videos every Saturday. its like looking forward to watching Saturday morning cartoons all over again 😀
I loved Starcon with the magnets in the feet
What an amazing lot pick-up there! Thanks for sharing man. Awesome to see that stuff in such beautiful shape.
Me too. Junk yard and mutt were awesome
I did business with you guys. Paid for shipping and everything - enjoy the driller and other Thundercats!
I like to wrap the bubble wrap in plastic wrap rather than tape
Hold on. Let me wipe the drool off the screen 🤤 That, is some GI Joe goodness.
What an amazing collection!
Great stuff & love your Heavy Metal shirt! Those Joe’s are amazing ! Super freakin clean! Very very niiiiiiice!!!
Ahh what a lovely collection this is my childhood I ravaged thru all the figures and cut out boxes and cardboard for the flagg points mail aways
Oh this is awesome cant wait to watch!
This show was an A+. Wow so many bangers. Keep doing these types of videos. Love them
Great vid Ryan. Love the GI Joe content. Please give us an update on all the graded pieces. That cobra commander 👌
Christmas Morning in the 80's!! Rad!!
9,000.00 = 2024
90.00= 1984
Just looking around your amazing shop, how in the world do you insure all of that? I would be terrified of a fire, hurricane or a riot.
Would be interesting to get an answer
Although nothing would cover the sentimental value of some
Earthquake would set the shop back at least a month of re standing all those figures.
I’ve got about a 75,000 comic book collection and I use collectible insurance
Well, we had hurricane come through end of September. Their shop is in Greer which is outside of Greenville SC and like most here they had a loss of power for a decent amount of time, mainly due to wind damage and some rain uprooting trees. Spot store is in looks like they should not have an issue with flooding. If they do then a lot of other businesses in the area would be screwed. Fire on the other hand…. Earthquake would be soothing like other guy said. Standing all those figures up again.
Which company do you use? I've looked at companies and never know who is legit or not.
I work at a huge unnamed ground facility. Im a package handler & i load trucks. I've also worked at an air transport facility. You're absolutely right. Dont ship ground for anything delicate. If it goes through my hub, it'll be one package amongst 80,000+ more - most of them heavy & prone to crushing delicate boxes.
BTW, air hires from the same pool of employees. They're no more delicate with packages as ground. But ground deals with way more volume
i love the fact that you can see the original price tags
Yes!!! More “Bulk of the Money” surprises🤩
What a awesome gi joe collection!! Pure awesomeness
love watching you take the risk on reselling these graded pieces so I don't have to. I'm over here sweating for you! good luck
That Wolverine is beyond gorgeous and very high on my wishlist. We never had that one over here to the best of my knowledge (Europe).
I had almost all of these as a kid. While played with, I had all in good shape and complete until I went away to college and my little brother and cousins got into my stash..
Man this is a great collection. Love the videos keep em coming
super awesome collection, i could never own something like that cause i would open them all up
Great episode no voice over just gi Joe goodness 🎉
I saw that some of them came from La Belles. That’s the store my parents use to buy my transformers at when I was a kid.
I used to have a large graded collection. I sold much of them but still hanging on to a few!
When I'm moving house this guy is packing my stuff. Wow
WOW! Amazing Vintage Joes!
Love the show guys. I love seeing the increase in production of the show keep up the great work guys.
thats a pretty amazing collection.
To think of the countless times I flipped through those figures at the store and moved on, not knowing what they'd be later.
Also love the giant man pose yall have going on! Such a fun pose
Toy Federation - I did a little research and exactly 40 years ago, Christmas '84, I was gifted Zartan. Coolest action figure I was ever gifted. His vehicle was kinda lame, but very cool to see a mint Zartan box. There can't possibly be more than a handful out there in that condition. Very popular character. I would have to assume there are Gen X dudes out there that would hand a grand or more over for that.
😐
Yeah his vehicle was so lame I had forgotten about it till I saw someones collection a few mths ago. Zartan and his Dreadnoks, the Thunder Machine, were all some of my favorites.
Collecting FTW. What a great hobby.
Fantastic video Ryan 100% would love to see you buy high end toys moc & mib always great , hope you do a follow-up video once they’re graded cheers from down under Australia 🇦🇺
I'd like more stories of how these collections came to be. Or stories of finding dead stock in the random places they were hiding
Such a great collection! Cant wait to see the results of the grading.
Fun video. Thanks. Great channel
This collection is nuts
It really is!
I’d really like to know what decade are these? 80’s 90’s early 2000’s?
@@DuaneThomas-n1f definitely not 2000’s.
@@BigDirtDawg is the 25th anniversary and target exclusive stuff worth anything?
@@DuaneThomas-n1f These are from the 85' collection
I feel Bad for the Collectors who think they have $87,000 worth. And TF tells them it's worth $3,200 resale.
thas why collecting stuff isnt worth it, waste of space
Omg I had a so many of these as a kid.
Definitely want to see a follow up video on what grades these pull.
Also, maybe wxplain grading in the video for collections who may not know mych about it.
Yes totally...can but you make it carded & boxed vintage MOTU guys...thats my jam! 😁
Had every single one of those as a kid. I woild cut the box covers and file cards out. No way would I have the maturity not open them and display them. I wish I still had them though.
My brother works at fedex in management but before that he worked his way up from a driver. He would tell me some crazy stories 😅😂🤣
Wow! Beautiful.
"This was somebody's Christmas."
I hope not. Could you imagine being a kid, getting this for Christmas, and then not opening and playing with it like kids should be doing?
Deffo need the Grading results reveal as another episode!!
And as a bonus do it, without Ryan knowing the scores first lol!
(I'm not even a 'Joe fan lol!)
I like to tape the bubble wrap to the outside of the box but I also don't see value in a carded/boxed piece. Give me loose, 100% complete over something I can't touch, any day.
You dropped it!!!
Wow ,what an amazing collection. You guys have some amazing pieces and make some entertaining videos.
You should wear latex gloves when handling those cards. Theres nothing worse than thinking did i do that or was that there? I also take good photos before i touch anything so i know the exact condition i got it in.
You guys really know how to take the fun right out of this...
It’s very sad we lost Morgan lofting today
kinda sucks that there is a sticker that has a crossed out 3.99 for 2.50 lol
Junkyard Dog, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow were my favorite.
Very nice thanks for sharing
Crazy i had most of these as a kid
It’s a slap in the face to the toy community to show off counterfeit toys like your “authentic” GI JOE Spirit toy. 2:11
