I just finished my first playthrough... I got the perfect ending the very first time... omg.... I got Ciri as Empress and saved everyone except Djikstra (Cause he went full retard). But this boss fight? I was surprised how easy it was... it was stupid easy. Didn't even die once... wtf? All you got to do is avoid him until he leaves an opening.. My sword had all bleeding upgrades. I used quen the whole time. That's it. He always does what you'd want to do if you had his power aka teleport behind you to attack from behind. So it's like fighting your mirrored self.... So fight your mirror. When you see an opening, take it. You'll only hit him once or twice before he counters you so I prefer one good hit then evade immediately.. Damn... I'm dissappointed in Eredin.. that fight was a let down... XD Sidenote: There are shops on Etsy.com who can actually make Eredin's sword if you show them a picture or video of it. They use real iron or stainless steel. I chose stainless steel. Cost me almost $1000. You know.. since I couldn't loot his dead corpse let alone play Gwent. LOL

Combat has multiple options but each option lacks depth, you can explore anywhere but every area is either cut and paste or rather shallow, etc. 4. No sense of progression. You can become the Leader of the Companions or the Archmage of Winterhold in a day's time. What's even worse is that even after you reach these milestones, nothing seems to have changed. It's just a title in name only. The world is static. It feels like none of your choices or milestones impact the wider world at all. This is coming from someone who put in about 500 hours into Skyrim, most of it around 2011-2015. I tried getting back into it recently and realized how shallow and bland it is. It's just really boring.

Wait. That's on death March? Wow. That looked too easy, and I fought him on "Blood and broken bones" at level 34. I thought at first it was because I had the whole Mastercrafted wolf school set, but I see that I was wrong.
Imlerith’s fight was the most intense. Caranthir’s fight was the most annoying. Eredin’s fight was the most fun. Look, I understand that a lot of people find Eredin’s fight too easy and disappointing. However, when I fought him he was indeed easy but I was actually having fun and satisfied fighting him the most. I saw it as an epic final battle that was made easy so that Geralt can unleash his full might upon the King of the Wild Hunt in any epic and climactic way the player chooses. There are a lot of evil villains in the Witcher that have redeeming qualities, but Eredin is one of the very few that has none. He’s Pure Evil even though this is because we barely know anything about him and he’s somewhat a poorly written villain. However, Eredin has been responsible for much of Geralt’s struggles throughout the game trilogy. He was powerful because of his ability to lead the Wild Hunt which has inspired fear in the hearts of all people throughout the continent. But after the loss of his two generals and Aen Elle’s support alongside Nilfgaard, Skellige, the Lodge of Sorceresses, and the Witchers all uniting against him it shows he is neither as all-powerful nor all-terrifying as everyone thought. In my opinion, the final battle with Eredin is Geralt’s most defining moment. It overall felt like a lesson about overcoming fear whereas fear looks powerful but when you realize what it really is you see just how weak it is compared to you and Eredin was the most feared being in the Witcher universe. And Geralt, through his unbreakable will to protect Ciri and being strengthened by the way of the Witcher in honor of Vesemir, shows that he is no longer afraid of Eredin anymore. This fight and it’s mechanics allow the player to experience Geralt unleash steel and silver to the max on the discount-Sauron looking motherfucker without restraint and it was a very epic endgame experience done beautifully.
After some vague research, I don’t think Eredin was really meant to be some OP character. I think his mean tactic in combat was his intimidation factor (along with the rest of the Wild Hunt). I’m pretty sure the main reason for their skeletal armour is to scare the shit out of people and get a mental advantage over their opponents.

Just remember to always block and evade because like Imrelith, he just goes and teleports behind you to attack. and yes, watch out for the special attack... which you can use against him to cause significant damage (if we are talking about the one where he summons meteorites from the sky, just move close enough for him to get in their range, it will still do him damage and it helped me defeat him with my crappy gear.)
I am on new game plus mode at level 100. If everything is not perfect, then I die in practically one hit. I am wondering if magic attacks are key to this particular battle, or if sword attacking him would be best? I have that steel sword from the hermit who tests your honor in Toussaint in the middle of an Oh-shaped small island. Apparently, the sword can be permanently increased in damage beyond its original level. I have been farming the swords of some bandit castle that re-spawns quickly with reinforcements so that I collect about up to about 200+ weight in swords that are mostly level 100, but slightly durability worn out by the fighting. I have the craftsman repair the swords before I sell them to him. Each such farming trip can get me between 5 thousand and 10 thousand gold. I had 140 thousand gold, and spent 100 thousand on weapons and armor improvements by purchasing crafting components then upgrading existing armors, swords, etc. At first I was all about signs and their intensities by wearing Griffin school gear, but then I saw some battling where Geralt uses his swords with swirl extended and whatnot. I have some gear for each school upgraded to grandmaster legendary level. I have yet to experiment with Manticore gear and an alchemy build or loadout. I also have the entire mutagen tree unlocked that took a lot of my skill points to open each node. I had to end up going back and insuring that I had visited each place of power and found out at least one is missed because I did not side with investigating and helping the potential Skellige queen so never got to visit that part of the map through the underground where that quest allows access and without that access, you shall never get to the secluded spot where one of the places of power is situated. When I see in this video that you get hit three or more times in a row, then that is a bad indication that your approach is non-ideal in whatever ways that are having this happen to you. There are some skill tree perks that greatly increase the possibility of dismemberment. Obviously, dismemberment is not going to happen on the first hit and I am wondering if he can be knocked down with Aard sign if enough sign intensity is invested in it? Once down, a finishing move is usual where Geralt just walks over and skewers the fallen. I saw this video about this glitch using mid level Dimeritium bomb dust walking through that increased dramatically Geralt's hitting power and vitality to many thousands so that Geralt becomes unstoppable, but by that time of me seeing that video, I had already upgraded all my bombs to be superior level so that I could not do that glitch.
Maybe it is your armor, but I have a hard time believing this is death march. I played it and had a few levels above him and still he could kill me in few blows.

That's Death March? Damn, you must've outleveled the content big time or something... or Ursine build is as broken as I heard it was. This looks like a copy of Imlerith fight, except for insanely easier and way more protracted. I remember one mistake on Imlerith was pretty much a restart, just because the damage was insane and attacks stagger-locked you. Here you could just fight him like a... ghoul.
You know, for a game based around sword play and such, this boss looks way to easy to be a final boss...idk, I haven't actually beaten the game yet, but after beating the first official boss (not the tutorial boss Griffin), this dude looks no different, aside from a few more attacks...kinda disappointed really...
As remember it you get a sword after beating him, but like most weapons in the game its just a generic one depending on your level, did not bother to check if it has the same visuals, sold it the first chance I got as it was way weaker then the current swords I had.
I was expecting a difficult fight but fought Eredin and I found he was easier than most bosses. He is too slow and has a predictable pattern so he only hit me once. Took him down easily the first try. I'm a little disappointed. Plus, who created the women in this game? A woman? They're a pain in the butt like they're always having PMS, especially Yennifer. Wish I can deal with her like Keira after I learned she used me.
I finished the game so you won't be spoiling anything for me. I did not say Yennifer used me. I said Keira. Read my post again. I don't like Yennifer because she had me do mediocre side quests for her and is a pain in the butt to deal with because of Triss. In Kaer Morhen, she teleported me to the lake and I had to run back to the castle. It's been a while since I played the game but there are many other examples. I did not like her at all throughout the game. Just the fact that in the beginning, I have to chase her down is a pain in the butt. Yeah, I know, it's part of the story. But still, it's a pain.

It is actually easy if you use certain skills. I found Death March to be a really good way to play. Witcher 3 is awesome.

This final battle didn't really feel final to me, idk :/ Eredin's design was cool, but fuckin Blood and Wine's Detlaff was a badass fight

This looks like a copy of Imlerith fight, except for insanely easier and way more protracted.
I remember one mistake on Imlerith was pretty much a restart, just because the damage was insane and attacks stagger-locked you. Here you could just fight him like a... ghoul.

You know, for a game based around sword play and such, this boss looks way to easy to be a final boss...idk, I haven't actually beaten the game yet, but after beating the first official boss (not the tutorial boss Griffin), this dude looks no different, aside from a few more attacks...kinda disappointed really...

Disappointing boss, literally defeated him on my first try, underleveled and w/o any of this enhanced bullshit. Imlerith was much tougher.
I found Eredin the hardest one tbh, and I beat all of them in 1 try.

As remember it you get a sword after beating him, but like most weapons in the game its just a generic one depending on your level, did not bother to check if it has the same visuals, sold it the first chance I got as it was way weaker then the current swords I had.

I was expecting a difficult fight but fought Eredin and I found he was easier than most bosses. He is too slow and has a predictable pattern so he only hit me once. Took him down easily the first try. I'm a little disappointed. Plus, who created the women in this game? A woman? They're a pain in the butt like they're always having PMS, especially Yennifer. Wish I can deal with her like Keira after I learned she used me.
I finished the game so you won't be spoiling anything for me. I did not say Yennifer used me. I said Keira. Read my post again. I don't like Yennifer because she had me do mediocre side quests for her and is a pain in the butt to deal with because of Triss. In Kaer Morhen, she teleported me to the lake and I had to run back to the castle. It's been a while since I played the game but there are many other examples. I did not like her at all throughout the game. Just the fact that in the beginning, I have to chase her down is a pain in the butt. Yeah, I know, it's part of the story. But still, it's a pain.

deadlock240 The game is fantastic, the only downside is that Death March becomes really fucking easy around level 10-14 and then it's just piss. So I'm either going to mod it or wait for them to make it harder.
