these are so much better than the op builds videos people post, your guides actually help and make me better rather than give me an op build, you're the best witcher youtuber
Hell yeah - clicked on some other youtuber's 15-minute video hoping to see a bossfight. Got an 8-minute cutscene, followed by a 2-second one-hit fight, followed by 7 minutes of cutscenes. Quality content.
As always, fantastic video. As few and far between uploads are, I appreciate the time and energy you put into each one. The effort really shows! Looking forward to the next one!
Very cool, helpful as always. I'm interested to try somewhat modified versions of these attack combos in combination with my grandmaster feline gear- strong attacks give fast attacks (in my case) 50% bonus damage for 5 seconds.
Looking forward to those two as well. Though, the attack patterns of the insectoids in vanilla are now completely different compare to Ghost Mode mod I'm using. Hell they're are annoying af in this mod. I hope you'll play Ghost Mode and try to create a new series of bestiary from that mod :/
Regarding using Whirl against the golems and elementals, in my experience if you have 100% crit chance (for example, Aerondight with max stacks) it'll stun lock them. Believe you could also simply mash fast attack. :)
Sirhl don't know about that. I just know that putting them in yrden and hitting them with whirl will drop them quick but sometimes they ignore the hits and punch you right trough them.
Hey Rax, great video. I watched your "How I Play" video and was wondering, do you ALWAYS stay away from alchemy and just do combat and signs every time? I understand you can make OP builds if you go the alchemy route and you don't want that. I'm currently doing this Wolf School Gear hybrid build on NG+ where I have the Piercing Cold mutagen with 4 sign abilities in the middle focusing on Aard, then I dedicate six slots to combat, and the other six slots to bombs & oils so once I get my Grandmaster Wolf gear I can put it's extra abilities like three oils at once and no delay on bomb throws to use. What do you think of this type of build? I went signs/combat on my first few playthroughs and I think it's fun switching it up dabbling in alchemy that way without most of the OP tanky abilities(even though Piercing Cold is pretty OP but it's fun to use lol).
sk8code14 thank you :). I haven't tried alchemy since I rarely used potions. I don't like that you can drink and eat during a fight. Also I crafted all of them, but I didn't notice an improvement in the way I play so I just abandoned alchemy completely. I claimed it to be op because I have seen some videos of character builds that focus specifically on alchemy and watched them kill a boss with 3 hits. It was just stupid to me to play the game like that without even trying to tackle the game mechanics. Instead they just rammed through the experience with potions and buffs. There is no fun in that for me. Your build should enhance how you play. I have tried most of the mutations but piercing cold and conductors of magic are really cool and fun. I think your build could be good, but I don't know why you would need 3 oils at once on a blade :D.
You're welcome! Your videos are always top notch quality. I want to use oils more so for the role play aspect even though I don't need them, I like the idea of preparing for the fights by oiling up, switching out bombs, popping a few potions, etc. I want to fully utilize all the tools I spent time crafting instead of just doing signs and swords, it keeps the fights pretty fresh and fun!
what I mean is it is a mod :) It had many changes in terms of AI aggressiveness. When you play it in DM, it is so very difficult. For example, quen don't absorb full damage anymore, if your enemy deals more damage or possibly a one hit, quen will not help at all :( Another is that everytime you attack, stamina regen is delay with each attack. The list of changes is here, check it www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/992/? I recommend using this if you're a fan of a more challenging difficulty experience in W3 so I hope you can try this :) Also I might say that there's some point that I didn't like about this mod. Since the author said AI aggressiveness is increased, in my own experience, I can barely hit any opponent I encounter and I mostly dodge all the time.
White Wolf I gave pretty vague advice Keep putting down the Yrden trap skill (the one that zaps them constantly) and keep on your feet Move in for heavy light light then disengage I’m fairly certain that their attacks are unblockable and un-counterable* but that’s only from my experience of fighting a level 80 noonwraith for 20 mins while I’m only level 60 (new game+) Get some distance between you before you cast a new trap The trap basically zaps wraiths the instant they teleport behind you so you won’t have to worry too much about that Just always dodge and I’m sure you already knew this but you can’t harm them without Yrden
@@sbraypaynt Thanks!I apreciate that you spend your time to write this comment for helping me.I will use the tactic you gave me.Thanks for the advice again!:)

I would absolutely kill for you to do a Witcher 3 Death March Lets play!
Angelo Piromalli well...if I get enough people who'd actually bear with me through the whole thing then sure, but now I simply cannot spare the time.
RaxRabbit Absolutely, do what you can. I'm content with the content (heh) you put out as is, but a let's play by a player like you would be fantastic.
RaxRabbit Just Discovered your channel. INSTANT SUB
I second this
I would ABSOLUTELY watch that
"Shoot Golyat in the face." :DD
So true though.
Excellent video, as always. ^^
Chadonraz thanks :)
So Crossbow actually oneshoots Golyat??? Gotta see it myself :)
Man, you know a creature is annoying when even Rax suggests base Quen. My frustration at gargoyles and the Djinn feel much more justified.
Greg Miller suggested quen cuz it's the only thing that works :D
wow, nice David vs Golyat reference from the bible. Never thought about thst
0:09 - Apiarian Phantoms
1:05 - Golems/Elementals
4:03 - Gargoyle.
5:32 - Djinn
6:23 - Nekkers
6:57 - Trolls
7:53 - Cyclops/Ice Giants.
8:37 - Golyat/Cloudy.
Another tip for fight vs Djinn: Turn off the 'Enemy Upscaling'
Finally, you are back ! :)
GG MahFriend not for long :)
RaxRabbit whyyyyyy I need help with this shiit

Thanks for the instructions, uncle Vesemir!
These vids are the coolest. Thanks. Good prep for my 2nd playthrough.
Marcus Aurelius Severus Antoninus Augustus thank you sir :) glad you like them !
seriously, one of the best witcher player no doubt
Hare Crazy thanks :)
Holy poop, this dude is back with a video
Whirls against those golems are so satisfying
try it in a cave :)
Great video! Your fighting style is an art!!
Jan Engel thank you sir :)
The dodging on the elementals look so fluid
Very cool, helpful as always.

Coolest videos on youtube about TW3. Hope you'll have time to complete the series
Matteo di Leonardo I will complete them, got about 3 or 2 more episodes so I am close
Matteo di Leonardo and thank you for the compliment :)
I guess Vampires and Relics are the only one left isn't?
Ultimate Shifter Insectoids and specters too :)

Your tutorials rock! I have a request. Could you make some tutorials for general combat and using signs and potions? You make this shit look easy.
timothy rogers I will sometime :)
Wow finally, gargoyle seem so easy when you handle it
Labamba thanks :) hope this helps
Congrats on a thousand subs!
Migu Holly... right thanks hahaha :D
Calm and strategized
You have made a guide for my hardest boss in Witcher 3-Djinn,thank you,but still it is very difficult to kill him
The damn Toad is worse.
Rax where is the Relicts video, I need your expertise to kill those damn fiends and leshens! (Seriously your videos are really well made, thank you)
Cyclopes are very disappointing in this game, when you see one, it's like seeing a single drowner.
I used to be very careful around them on my first run, but now they are an easy kill.
He literally told us to dodge the lightning.
And then he walked away. Like a baws.
Arunava Chatterjee hahha forgot to mention you can tell the djin to go fuck it self in ancient language to beat it :D
3.21 Okay, wow. Being a complete girl right now, but that whirl on the Fire Elemental is so pretty
FlamesAndShadows Hhaaha it's even better in a cave :D
You can actually kill gargoyle by using quen and whirl while it spits.
wow! you are one dedicated gamer
Master witcher !
Reznick Zhang thank you sir :)
incredible gaming skill and respection
Dunno if this has been asked, but will you cover bosses? Maybe only notable ones rather than all of them.
you mean like covering how to beat all the bosses in my other videos ?
I hadn't noticed that you had covered bosses. I suppose it's because you haven't done vampires yet and all my memorable bosses are vamps.
Excellent video Rax!
Could you do a bestiary video on how to flawlessly kill succubus?
Bourbon Cowboy thanks :) did it already
the turbo lighting mod looks so nice on elevated areas
too bad i cant run it :(

it's cool to role play and go ahead :) It's important to keep things fun
And Rax Forgot to add that he mentiond once that he doesnt like Geralts face when you have high toxicity
Geralt Thug Life yeah what he said :D
just wondering what the name of the first combat theme you used in this video was?
the song of the sword dancer
RaxRabbit thanks
hey rax nice video!!
how can i get a closer camera as you??
Hamdi Ch sup :) thank you and it's the Immersive camera mod
Yrden is also VERY effective against nekkers
Are you using a texture mod for the Ursine armor for the Ice Giant fight?
yes I am :)
for your next videos use white with black borders on the text it has the best visibility for all kinds of backgrounds
Try Yrden on Djinn next time :) good vids
I that there was a super mutant with a anker Chain mace on the thumb nail
3:22 is that combo a mod or something? You attack so fast and te combo never ends, it is awesome.
It's the whirl ability, you unlock it in the fast attack category of the red skills
Imagine using a pickaxe against a golem
your signs seem charged rly fast. r u wearing cat school gear? because of that skin, i can't see it.
실험용계정 no it's just KaerMorhen armor not a skin. I have a skill that let's me regen stamina faster.
awesome :P
Richard Ramos glad you like it !
Fighting them in Ghost Mode is just so absurd. :/
Ultimate Shifter what the hell is ghost mode ?!?

Oh I forget to tell, warning about Insectoids, they're OP af in this mod. Extremely fast attacks, and can be staggered barely.
We need specters bestiary man! They're my nightmare!(on the way i think?)
Use Yrden trap
@@sbraypaynt I'll try!:)

I bet those monsters get annoyed by you
Hey Rax, what sword is that? I've never seen it!
Which one :D ?
The one at 1:53 :D
Rickebab ahaa that would be the Anathema with a reskin mod called dark weapons
OK, i see. Thanks! The crossguard looks really cool.
Rickebab I know :)
"Shoot Golyat in the face".Simple and useful.:)
WHIRL is life
