Go see a night game at Dodger Stadium in the summer, or take a tour during the day if they still give tours.

Go to Tommy's on the corner of Beverly and Rampart. Their chili burgers are so good that even a vegetarian would make an exception to eat them. It's a little shack on the corner right next to the sidewalk. It never closes. It runs like a well-oiled machine.

Wow, this city guide is an absolute gem. Thanks for putting together such an amazing list of top places to explore in Los Angeles for 2024. I've been exploring the city and came across this hidden gem called Quantum Clinic - a floating spa clinic dedicated to mental wellness. It's truly a unique experience with experts who have years of expertise. I'd love to recommend adding the Quantum Clinic to your next update. Keep up the fantastic work. Thanks in advance🙂

One of the best videos for tourists. Well done.
However, since it is geared towards tourists, I would have added a section on using the LA Metro. Many of the subway stations have unique designs and artwork. Several of the places you featured can easily be reached by the LA Metro. For example, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, DTLA, and Santa Monica.
Another place you didn't showcase in your video, that I recommend, is Exposition Park. It has several museums, including two new ones being constructed, the Lucas Museum and Space Shuttle Museum. It's also across the street from USC. And, Exposition Park is also accessible via LA Metro. LA Metro has a 7 day pass for $18 that allows you to use the 2 subway lines, 4 light rail lines, and over 400 bus lines. It's a great deal for tourists.

Hi, thanks for the message and tips! I usually do an extra video on "how to get around the city" so I left all of that out. But, you have enlightened me on the LA Metro. I was always told it was too dangerous to use. On the roads parallel to the stations, it did look clean. Where would you rank it for safety, if you included New York subway and BART in SF, in you list?
I definitely want to go back to experience the new museums at Exposition Park!! Time to start saving for another trip!!!

@@LifeOfReillyTVI stopped using the LA Metro during the 3 worst years of Covid from 2020-2022 which is when it got worse due to Covid policies and LA Metro deciding not to enforce fares. A decision they regret in retrospect. It resulted in many homeless using the system and regular riders weren't due to Covid and working from home.
However, I started using it again in June 2023 after the Regional Connector opened and have been using it regularly since. It's so much better today than a year ago. There are many more security officers, transit ambassadors, and cleaning crews throughout the system now.
I would say it's safer than NYC and BART from what I've seen and read. I think LA Metro has also recovered more passengers than either of the other two from the low riderships during Covid. LA Metro has increased ridership every month in 2023 though it's still not back at 2019 levels.
Find YT videos of LA Metro that have been recorded in the last 6 months to see for yourself.
BTW, Chinatown and Olvera Street are two other tourist destinations with cool stuff to see and great places to eat. And, they are easily accessible via LA Metro.
BTW, LA Metro has two transit apps. One for schedules and routes. And another one to report any issues you might see or experience. I used the second app once to report some graffiti outside one of the stations and a non working light fixture. A few weeks later I happen to take the same stations and the issues were fixed. You can also talk to one of the transit ambassadors about any issue or question you might have about the system. They are usually on the platforms, but sometimes on the trains too.
      Good luck, and safe travels.

Thank you for sharing. What is the best way to get around LA, rental car, public transport ?

Hi Rashad, there is a Metro system in LA but the city has really been made for cars. If you’re staying Downtown/W Hollywood, you could Uber short distances. If you’re being a proper tourist, the Hop on/Hop Off bus could work for you. We rented a car and had to suck up the parking fees but it was easiest/safest with kids.

@@LifeOfReillyTVThe LA Metro is much more useful than you realize. You could have easily used it to get to several of the places you visited in LA. And it's much more affordable rmthan renting a car even for one day. There is a $18 pass for a week that lets you use the Metro and bus system unlimited number of times.

@@LifeOfReillyTVThey announced a couple of days ago that the Hollywood Walk of Fame will get a significant face-lift making it more pedestrian and bike friendly. They will reduce traffic lanes and parking, and widen sidewalks for outdoor dining and install bus and bike lanes. Should be completed in about a year.
