Wow that looks great! With emeralds that color, I dont care about inclusions and fractures, in fact, they add to the unique beauty. I wonder what else that guy has for sale??
So seeing how you’ve stated several times about how Trax jewelry/diamonds/gold is overpriced and etc. going through this process does this now change your perspective? I mean because we now know you purchased this item for $90 and now you feel it’s worth $8000. How is this any different from jewelry or items you have stated in the past are overpriced?
I have what I think is an emerald based on the hardness test, color etc. it came from a gold pendant I sold. I removed the stone. It's around 10 carats n it looks almost flawless but I need to have it tested to be sure cuz if it is. It's easily a $50k emerald
Been watching a lot of your reviews and I have to say you are very honest and give great advice. This s a great story and emeralds are amazing I love all gemstones though but that emerald green is just amazing
Could you explain the process for heating and oiling emeralds? Do you just soak the emeralds in oil, heat over an open flame, then leave them there to cool off? Or do you take them out to dry off the excess oil afterwards? What's the right way to do it step by step?
@@idonthaveaname42 I try letting them dry off with air, but I keep having an issue where the oil will seep out of the emerald within a week or two and return to it's original clarity.
Most emeralds are oiled without much heat.warmed oil and then put into a flask and then under vacuum.release of pressure and the stone sucks up the oil.
0.03 crt $537 0.015 crt 830 1,912 crt $5000 I found 3 rings to purchase, but not sure if crt difference is the quality or the quantity. I just want a small piece of emerald ring , I care about quality but I don’t care about how big the stone is. Can you help me please?
Good job. I found a bunch of gemstones. I’m not sure what all of them are. I found them looking for gold. I know some are tourmaline and quartz. No emeralds though. A lot of them are red .
I could have told right away that that stone was genuine and natural, because of the inclusions. The inclusions tell everything. If this were a fake, the inclusions wouldn’t be so numerous as they were.
Can you give a tutorial on how to oil emeralds? Coincidentally I have a very similar story with a Cabochon emerald, but I need to oil it because the inclusions are quite big. 👀
Ok you have that gem you bought for 90$ bu now is going to stay costing 90 if i dont get it certified . Certification cost money but it guarantees the buyer is buying what he says hes buying and what they thi k its worth. Now u have to turn it into jewlery. You pay your master crafts man 30hr and it takes him a week or 2 to finish a piece. But we havent even added the part where somone designs how ypur piece is going to look you jave to pay them too. By the time your piece is done your already paid 5 people.now how long thay piece going to sit there before someone buys it.

He paid 90 for what he thought was a fake.
An Emerald that clear even though it is not so clear😂 is incredibly rare.
The price margin doesn’t make it “over priced”
The value of the stone is based on how finely cut it is at the end.
Some stones has its best value when it is treat in its proper artistic value way imo
I am waiting for this moment one day as well, when you are in unpredictable Situation but luckily it is a great of your fortune day.
