    Real trick stuff Diode Dynamics! That back light mode for use as a rear running or side amber light is an excellent feature that really expands the functionality of those flush mount lights.

    I have the SS3 Pro yellow fog and they are awsome. Trying to find a place for these new ssc2!! I'd like to see a comparison of the white light and the white with the yellow cover vs the yellow light.

      Are your pros too bright to use in traffic? I have a motorcycle and I’m debating on getting just one fog light to rest just above front fender. Don’t know if I should go with pro or sport for everyday use

      @@jaybee5919 not really. Mine is the fog version and are installed at the same height of the original ones, so you can clearly see it lights the bumper of the front car, but not above. If you stand in front of the car you see it is turned on but do not get blinded.

    I have 2 ssc2 sport on my sur ron, they are awesome, very good quality, never had water or even fog inside them, I will switch to pro asap, and test all the lenses, love this shit ^^ , if they where doing a all in one smal tail light (light+brake+turn signals) I would defenetly buy it, tired of changing my tail lights every now an then

    Can I use 5pin relay using 87a for the backlight? Hook it up to acc like ignition? So when you start the car the backlight will also turn on right away

      There sure is. You would just have to disconnect the wiring for the backlight!

    Would a single ssc2 pro fog light be too strong for use in traffic? Plan on installing just one on my motorcycle for everyday use. What’s your opinion?

      Our included harness does not offer a way to power both at the same time. Sorry about that!

    Can both legs on the wire have power as in to activate the beam and once the switch is off the back light comes on ..if the back light wire was on all the time and the beam light switched ..or do i have to un power the back light then power the beam ..hope i make some sense

      That makes sense! You can have both hot wires on at the same time, however the circuit board inside shuts the backlight off as soon as the main beam is active, so there's no need to worry about burning out your backlight, or switching between modes manually!

      @@diodedynamics thank you i plan on wiring to my auxbeam switch board on two separate switches..my fear was that i would forget to shut off the back light and activate the beam and short my light ..but from the looks of it i shouldn’t have a problem thank you

      Hi there! We don't have any plans at this time to release a Max SSC2. However, this may be something we decide to offer in the future!

    Does the amber/yellow version still put out enough light to use on trails, or is the white recommended? I was thinking of the amber backlight for my KTM adventure bike for safety, then flip the switch for the higher output for trails.

      Our yellow pods have more than enough power to let you see on the trails at night! We recommend our Pro Yellow Combo for the best all-around visibility, with both distance light and close-range fill light, close to the bike!

      We wouldn't recommend that the fog optic SSC2s are mounted upside down because their lenses are slanted to properly orientate the beam pattern. However, the other lens options can be mounted upside down!

      @@HyperspeedMedia No, there is no mounting point on top. However, our universal bracket swivels on it's access nearly 90 degrees. Because of this they can be mounted upside down from the universal bracket, and even aimed straight down.

    With a central switch panel like SwitchPros, Auxbeam etc, how do you wire to activate the backlight mode?

      You will need to make sure that they are wired to a 4 pin switch. It will need to have an option for mainlight, backlight, and off.

      Yes, you can. However, you will need some sort of a controller to do this (such as a SwitchPros).
