I have the SL2 Pros in my '22 Tacoma brights for about 3 weeks now. Fantastic bulbs with clean white light, a game changer for driving at night in rural deer country.
I'm seeing the same thing in this video that I saw when I had the morimoto two-stroke 3.0s, that very defined hotspot leads to strange shadows when it's projected down the road. I'd be curious to see the same comparison but with something further away or farther down the road.
Thanks for the comparison. On another topic, this video also shows how older headlight loose performance as the mirror surface losses it's shine ! Is there a good way to restore it or do you have to change the whole assembly ? For exemple in this car, you're putting some HID projectors in, but for the additional high beam, what can you do to restore the optics performance ?
Generally speaking the chrome reflectors for high beams don't typically wear out like projectors do. The lights in this video are brand new. There is no great way to restore a chrome reflector high beam for example. Best to start with a new assembly if there is an issue.
I have the sl2 yellow 9005 in my high beams and I'm pretty disappointed. I knew I'd be getting a Lux drop going to yellow but it's drastic. But my biggest gripe is no matter how I rotate the bulb my passenger side bulb shines up in the trees.
@@skinnygirlstretchmarks there's not much to do. I've rotated the bulb on the collar and it didn't change anything. Just the way the bulb reacts with my housings.
Those brands go for the numbers race, like cameras and megapixels. They may go brighter than these, but only initially. I've seen terrible "brightness decay" due to poor thermal management with Auxbeam and other semi-generic brands.
You missed the mark to test those two against each other in low beams, Caesar. Most people never use their high beams but end up throwing cheap chineseum LED bulbs in the lows and blind others.

Can the DD bulbs be used as HB/DRL?
Thanks for the comparison.

Im curious how the new DD bulbs do with ice and snow. Somebody should freeze a junker housing to build up a ice layer and see if it melts it.
Likely not as effective as HID or Halogen but probably better than some of the other bulbs on the market.

So you message at the end, you're basically inferring that the Hikaris and Auxbeams are significantly inferior to these bulbs...?
Absolutely!

I see you have a sienna is shop. Let's connect. We're already in communication via email.

We'll get there in the future.
