    I love your adventures, and the style of the videos you post. Thanks again for taking me places 1/2 a world away. Kenny in Arkansas, USA

      Thanks for the kind words Kenny. Glad that you enjoy the videos. It is such a good thing that we can all see so many different parts of the world these days!! 😁

    Thanks for part 1, looking forward to part 2 :) I am planning this trip next Spring, it's great to see a damp version, as most of the rest of the videos of this route are all sunny. I hope you had a good trip despite the weather, you seem pretty positive.

      Thanks, it was one of the wettest days I’ve had bikepacking. Never nice setting up camp in the rain and wind! It was a fun trip, the weather did improve over the next couple of days so that was good. Thanks for watching. 😁

      Thanks for watching. I know how you feel, this winter has been truly depressing. So fed up with it and looking forward to better weather soon. Heading to Scotland at the end of April so hoping it dries up a bit.
      Best of luck on whatever trip you decide on, it’s always great to be out!! 😀

      Hope that you get better weather than we did on the first day. It is a nice route although we did stray off the official route a bit. Have a great ride!! 😁

    June would be a great time for those long days pedalling. Looking forward to trying it with P and / or C

      Not next June though. 😉

    This is on my to do list. Your video and commentary are really helpful so many thanks. Will probably go for the gravel bike: easier on the long road sections and will just take it steady on the descents. Thoughts? Cheers.

      Thanks Jonathan and glad it helped. I think it would be fine. We actually rode a bit of off road stuff that wouldn’t be on the official route. The section to Capel Curig is just a shorter road section on the official route. So, I think you’ll be good. When are you planning on doing it?

      @@david-pascoe Cheers David. I think we'll wait until early Spring now & try to grab a decent weather window. We live only a couple of hours away and so can be quite spontaneous.

      Yeah, it was bloody wet Allen. 😬 I don’t mind too much except when it’s raining when we set up camp. I really enjoy sitting around in the evenings and talking rubbish!!! Thanks for watching and I enjoyed your Iceland trip. Really like to go there one day. 😀

      @@david-pascoe Same, as long as I have whisky! Ah Iceland,you know it wasn’t THAT expensive. I mean everything cost 3000ick when we ordered, but flights were pretty affordable. Thanks for sharing your video!

    Is that an Aeroe handlebar mount that you’re running?

    • @david-pascoe
      @david-pascoe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Paul. Yes it is. I bought the handlebar cradle this year and am impressed with it. Nice and secure and easy to use. I had to stick a bit of plastic on my head tube as the cradle tends to touch and rub slightly but with the plastic on the headtube it’s no issue. I’m planning a vid about my bike setup soon so will discuss the handlebar cradle a bit more in that vid. thanks for watching. 😁

    I'm doing this after Christmas. I've got a hard tail mountain bike and a fat bike , could you do it on a fat bike ?

    • @david-pascoe
      @david-pascoe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mark. I’ve only ridden a fat bike a few times but would imagine it would be a lot easier on a normal hard tail. There’s quite a bit of climbing and road sections so might be more efficient on a thinner tyre. Hope that helps. 😁

    Great vids, looking at doing it next June, what kind of time were you in the saddle?

      @david-pascoe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and glad you enjoyed them. I looked at my Strava and it was between 6 and 8 hours a day riding. but some time just stood around too!! 😂

    What cold grey wet miserable place Wales can be. 😮

      Lol, it certainly can be. Day 1 of our trip wouldn’t have made a very good advert for Visit Wales!! 😂😂😂
