As a restoration technician who’s had the IICRC Health and Safety Technician course I’m so happy to see that everyone in the resto/flip/DIY community taking health and safety so much more seriously.
The furniture makers in the old days were brilliant with veneer. Those drawers are gorgeous. It's a good thing you pointed out the patch because I wouldn't have been able to find it otherwise. The cherry colored lacquer is a beautiful choice. Rich, but not too dark. You hit it out of the park, Angie.
absolutely stunning, Angie!!! I love that you didn't change anything on this one, kept the wood hardware, didn't really change the color, just gave it a good refresh. The felt in the top drawer gives it just the pop it needs! Always love watching you work!!!
Jerry and I had a difficult evening. He's a long-haired guinea pig and keeping him clean, poo-free, neat and reasonably tidy can be an effort for both of us. So after a protracted session with wipes, scissors, brushes etc. we were in need of recuperation and, consequently, thrilled when your soothing video popped up in our feed. Jerry did question the presence of the cats early on as he couldn't work out how or why you'd want make another cat condo from the chest. He was reassured as the video progressed and excited by a new Oddie's product - always a highlight for him. We both thought the red felt liner set the whole thing off. Keep 'em comin'.
I can only imagine the maintenance required for a long haired gentleman like Jerry. One would assume, with his discerning judgement, that he's a tad particular on how he is groomed. I'm so glad the video came out at the right time for both of you to relax to and that he enjoyed the new product! Thank you both, as always, for the thoroughly enjoyable comment. ❤️
Your PSA on particulate was great - showing the amount visible on your respirator filters and your new shop filters, along with the electronic meter readings was quite dramatic and effective. Your efforts paid off - the final piece is gorgeous!
I love how you restore furniture. There are a lot of people on TH-cam that restore/flip furniture but I haven’t seen them as good as you. Keep up the Great job Angie for keeping these furniture pieces out of the landfills. It is so beautiful 😍.
Yeah the reveal music is back 😂 That red felt is eye popping 😍. The wood grain seems almost unreal. Gorgeous restoration Ang! Loved it. And welcome back. Glad you’re home safe and back with your spouse and fur babies.
“Needed some work done” has to be the understatement of the year! Saying it’s beautiful is the second understatement, it’s regal looking! I’m a long time fan of oak which I know is a common wood but it reminds me of furniture in my grandparents house. They also had some very dark furniture and after watching your channel, I think it may have been mahogany but not anywhere near as gorgeous as this. Mahogany is becoming a very close second favorite especially when it’s refinished by you! 👌👌👌💕💕💕
The piece is absolutely stunning, the pattern on the veneer is beautiful...but, my favorite thing about this video was you talking about the safety required to do this sort of thing. Lots of DIYers that don't know how they are damaging their health.
I sometimes comment to TH-camrs that they should think about wearing a mask (and their poor dog is sometimes nearby) when I watch them spray paint in an enclosed space. You're in your basement and probably your furnace is too so it's actually going to the entire household. That seems scary to me.
Great! I've been anxiously awaiting a new video. Your skill at both the craft and your ability to bring us along as you narrate the process are outstanding, almost mesmerising.
You have taught me so much. This project was helpful for many of the pieces I have come across. I just put that air filtration system in my Amazon cart. I just designed and built a spray tent using 3/4 inch PVC pipes. 7x10 with 6mm plastic. Those Mohawk fumes are brutal. In any case. Thank you for what you do. ❤ I look forward to watching your videos every week. 😊
Oh my gosh Annie- Thank you SO much for this! I DID consider trying to at the very least, corner myself off a bit with some plastic walls, something easy to go up and down but that would contain some of the overspray so that set up isn't so bad. I DO actually have a spray shelter for when I used to spray paint. I find it a bit cumbersome to put up, but honestly, it WOULD save me a lot of time cleaning up. I should really start using it again. Thank you again, that is so generous!
Angie have I told you lately that you are amazing? You are! This looks amazing. Your transformations blow my mind! I really appreciate you talking about safety for anyone who wants to refinish. It’s so important and I think that filter color was a great way to show what’s in the air.
I am glad you saw the beauty through the beaten up exterior. You just got ridd of the junk, made repairs, and restored its glow! Great job on this chest!
Wow! Beautiful restoration, Angie. This looks expensive and elegant, like an heirloom piece of furniture. The red felt is a lovely touch, too. I love a pop of color.🌸
This is so gorgeous. I love the softly glowing finish that your pieces have; it always looks so classy and lets the beauty of the wood be the star of the show.
I so enjoy watching you work. Honestly, you are part of my self care plan. lol. I come home from work and decompress by watching your videos. I surely cannot do what you do but watching is calming. Thank you.
Oh my gosh. It’s beyond gorgeous!! You can’t even see the patching. You have superb skills. I’ll take restoration to the original beauty every single time. Aces on this! 🎉 18:40
Lovely as always. ❤ Ya know, every now and then I come across a new channel I’ve never seen before and it becomes my new obsession (in a good way, of course). I’ve watched a few restoration channels but yours is on a whole other level. In the past couple of weeks I have worked my way through dozens of your videos and find each more entertaining than the last. Your aesthetic sings to me and I believe you have become a master in your field. You are truly a natural, not just at the work you do, but also in the way you present yourself and your videos. An almost AMSR vibe I find extremely relaxing and satisfying. I also relate to your love of animals and appreciate your dedication to their rescue. Bravo to you for the wonderful work you are doing, and thank you for sharing so much of yourself. I look forward to catching up on the rest of your videos and seeing what comes next. I’m also inspired to give it a go of my own. I have a few pieces of furniture around my house that could use some freshening up. Wish me luck. Thank you!
Yet another beautiful and sensitive piece of work. As a Greenkeeper who works with noisy equipment and chemicals, it's good to see your attention to your own safety, and your cats too!
I get the goosebumps every single time I see the reveal. This restoration was no different. What you are able to do to each piece is remarkable. The grain on this piece is so complicated and artful. To bring it back to what you did is so great. I'm going back to watch it again! Thanks for being one of the few channels worth watching on the internet. Thank you.
What an outstanding restoration Angie. It is absolutely gorgeous. I think you have one of the nicest and cleanest workshops (minus a spray booth😔) of anyone out there. It always looks so NEAT AND TIDY. The housekeeper in me applauds you👏👏👏👏👏!
I rarely comment on social media but gosh - this was my favourite vid ever of any furniture restoration and I've seen so far - and I've seen quite a few. I learn a lot from you but I am particularly impressed by what you did here. ❤
That is stunning. I knew you would make it most beautiful, as always. Thanks for your tips on staining and spraying. You only get one shot at life so take good care of yourself and you will last a long time. Thanks again, Angie, for a video that was fun to watch and informative. Love the kittens. Much love Dave and Amy.
We don't flip furniture, but we do have a hobby that uses spray paints. Thanks to you, and your safety chats I was able to get my husband to buy us respirators and extra filters. Your emphasis on safely using tools and finishes is much appreciated.
I do not restore furniture. I have in the past and it was very rewarding. Now, I just love watching you do it. You have exquisite taste for this sort of thing. Both in your furniture choices and your finished product. Your videos are very satisfying. You do a great job with the entire package. And this piece once again is an absolute stunner. Great work Angie. Love how you care about your cats and allow them to participate in your business. Keep it up Angie. You and your work are simply amazing. Well done.
Love the stunning reveal! I never expect less than phenomenal gorgeousness and you definitely deliver! I also appreciate that you explain what you’re doing and why- I’m only fixing furniture that’s been neglected here at my home, but you not only give me the courage and confidence to tackle restorations needed- you help me understand how to do it correctly. Thank you so much! (And I think I recognized Jon Cesaro from Lincoln St. Woodworks? Yes, I follow woodworking channels, too. My dad left us with planes, squares, and doo-dads that we’re learning how to use. Who knew woodworking and restoring furniture would grant me inner peace?! 💖)
I love that you emphasized safety. It also applies to artists and crafters, because paints and solvents as well as glues etc. can all negatively affect our health. I have COPD and luckily it isn't severe, and I'm 79, so it probably won't be an issue for the rest of my life, but when I think back at my oil and acrylic painting, and DIY, I cringe at how careless I was. Be safe should be rule number ONE for us all. And, of course, a beautiful job as always Angie. 😊💕👍🏻
Stunning is absolutely right! I especially love seeing you do these older pieces--they turn out beautifully no matter what their initial condition. Thanks for getting the word out about proper safety when using aerosols--you always do things the right way. And Nacho's side markings, which for some reason I just noticed now, are gorgeous. Adorable boy!
I just discovered your channel in the past week or so, and it's quickly becoming my favorite channel on YT, Angie. I really admire your craftsmanship, and your amazing narration skills! 👍😉 Also, as a fellow cat lover, I appreciate how cautious and considerate you are when it comes to your fur babies! 😻
The red felt liner looks so good with that rich dark wood. If this was in my home, I'd probably take the casters off-they just feel odd to me on a piece this big-but otherwise absolutely gorgeous, I'd buy this in a heartbeat!
These sad pieces of furniture that you find and put so much work into actually turn out better than when they left the manufacturer. The care and attention you put into hand finishing these pieces is outstanding. It is a very lucky person who owns one of your rescues!
Wow! Wow! Amazing. Beautiful! Late commenting, but have been watching you since your early TH-cam days! Your progression and advancement has been a joy to watch.
Wow! This turned out beautifully. Your color matching tips are really helpful with furniture that has such contrasts. It's nice to see your inspection team back at work! 😄❤❤❤
It’s just amazing to me how you can take a beaten up piece of furniture and make it look like nothing bad had ever happened to it. That is just so beautiful, and I’m so glad that you saved that piece! 😊
Oh, Angie!!! You’ve restored this beautiful piece to its former glory (maybe even better, richer than the original)!!! I am stunned every time by your talent and the care you take in performing these miracles ❤❤❤
I love love Mid Century furniture I think they are Beautiful pieces. I was born 1959. I saw your channel on my feed so glad I opened it up love your channel you do absolutely 💯 great work. Love your pets. All the way from Fresno California. Have a wonderful day ✌️
A true piece of traditional yumminess! I LOVE this chest - thanks for saving it, Angie! I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: you, Trena and Tom Johnson - master craftspeople.
Wow! That piece would have pride of place in a palace. It was hard to see the bookmatched wood grain through all the scratches and dings. This wasn't just a restoration. You've performed a Benjamin Button on this one. It is better than new. That red velvet interior cover elevates this into a whole other category. Another absolute stunner, Angie. A delight to watch.
Your feline assistants are adorable! I really like what you did with this piece. You did a wonderful job of matching the wood tones and grain patterns. The cherry wood finish is an excellent choice.
Enjoy all your work. Really like seeing you step out to take on an older piece. In this time of throwaway everything--from clothes to furniture--t's important to appreciate the full spectrum of beautiful, high quality pieces from the past.
The result is beautiful for sure; you are a true artisan. Thank you for taking the time to point out the importance of protecting our lungs. Love seeing your adorable four legged assistants!
Wowee, Angie! The pattern in this wood is absolutely mesmerizing! Chalk up another beauty for you, lady. What a talented wood whisperer you are! Bravo!
❤ love that you are taking about health and Protective equipment. I would love to see a video about organization in your workshop as well as systems and how you keep your shop so tidy as you are working.
Stunning transformation as always. I would also like to thank you for advising people about the need for protecting their lungs - once the damage is done there is no way to undo it. Being proactive with the use of masks and filtration units is essential. ❤
This finish is quite remarkable, Angie. Always a pleasure to see what you are working on:) Hugs from Mette in the the East of Norway, soon drowning in slush from an insane amount of snow. Anyone else looking forward to springtime? Take care, Angie:) xxx
I completely agree, Angie. Take care of youself and cats and wife and bunnies and enjoy what little sunshine we have while we wait for summer❤@@TranscendFurnitureGallery
Wow, Angie! That dresser turned out so beautiful! Your meticulousness and attention to detail sets you apart as a furniture restorer. Thank you for the education on the importance of using respirators and showing us the air pollution detection gadget as well as the filter system you are using. I think of all the years my parents did furniture stripping and restoring, using a big vat of stripper followed by another vat of neutralizer - and never using any type of respirator or even a mask! We sanded and used aerosol type finish all the time - and no masks! They don't have any lung issues and they are both 80, but I think they are just lucky. I am 60 now and have my fingers crossed! Anyway, love your channel and your work! And your kitties! Do you still have bunnies? 💙💙💙💙💙
I don't know why, but I just love the reveal music. It makes me happy every time! Thx for the reality check re: safety. I worked in another field--horticulture--and was cautious but not quite enough. I've fortunately gotten a clean bill of health after a bout of cancer, but I know now that I was pushing the limits.
What a gorgeous piece of furniture. The pattern on the veneer is beautiful. Thank you for going into so much detail about the dangers of lacquers & aerosols. It is so easy to say , for me, “I won’t be spraying much” and then skimp on safety. 😮
As a restoration technician who’s had the IICRC Health and Safety Technician course I’m so happy to see that everyone in the resto/flip/DIY community taking health and safety so much more seriously.

Beyond gorgeous! Oh and I love how you look out for your precious babies. I love seeing them as much as I do your projects!

Thank you very much!! I'll let Nacho and Freya know. 😉
absolutely stunning, Angie!!! I love that you didn't change anything on this one, kept the wood hardware, didn't really change the color, just gave it a good refresh. The felt in the top drawer gives it just the pop it needs! Always love watching you work!!!
Stunning was my word, too!😃
Thank you so much!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😀
It looks so beautiful 😍
“Stately” and “stunning” kept to mind at the reveal.

Well said, Steven! She is a master among the masses and yet, so generously shares her expertise with her audience. I love her vids!

He's been a very thorough teacher, she's going to be a fantastic intern for him. 😊

Exactly!
Thank you so much! 😊
Gorgeous! You revealed the artistry in the amazing wood grain!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Angie, brilliant restoration, as usual, you made it look like new, cheers!!!🥰😘
Thank you Frances! 😀
OMG! The veneer is just amazing. What a worthwhile project❤
Thank you very much! 😀
I so enjoy watching you work. Honestly, you are part of my self care plan. lol. I come home from work and decompress by watching your videos. I surely cannot do what you do but watching is calming. Thank you.
Wow, I am honoured to be that for you! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Simply beautiful. You are so talented and I could watch you all day long.
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for touching on the safety issues! Beautiful work!
You're most welcome! 😊
Angie, the colors in the veneer and how you brought that out amid all the scuffs and scratches--awesome. A truly beautiful piece. ❤
Thank you so much! 😊

Love how the bookmarked veneers really came alive! Well done, Angie.
Thank you very much Valerie! 😊
Veneer grain matching magic! This project is spectacular. As always an awesome job😄
Thank you kindly! 😀
I am willing to bet it looks nicer now than it did when it was made. Amazing job but I’m not surprised as everything you tackle turns out AMAZING ❤
I really appreciate that, thank you! 😊
Lovely as always. ❤ Ya know, every now and then I come across a new channel I’ve never seen before and it becomes my new obsession (in a good way, of course). Thank you very much! 😀
Holy smokes! That is nothing short of miraculous!!! Stunningly beautiful!
Thank you very much! 😊
Incredibly beautiful!! I love this style of furniture, and you brought it back to life!! I’m actually crying happy tears at this transformation!!❤️❤️
Awe, thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it!
Aside from the fabulous restoration it's so good to see H &S given it's proper place. Nicely done, youngster!
Youngster lol, thank you for that!! 😉

I'm so glad you found me and are enjoying my content! Thank you so much for watching! 😀
The red felt liner looks so good with that rich dark wood. If this was in my home, I'd probably take the casters off-they just feel odd to me on a piece this big-but otherwise absolutely gorgeous, I'd buy this in a heartbeat!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
you are a furniture whisperer 😊
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
❤ you are a miracle worker. Every damaged and tattered old piece of furniture comes back to life in your capable hands.
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Wow, I thought that piece was a goner. Now 'tis quite beauteous🔸🙂
Thank you very much! 😊
These sad pieces of furniture that you find and put so much work into actually turn out better than when they left the manufacturer. The care and attention you put into hand finishing these pieces is outstanding. It is a very lucky person who owns one of your rescues!
Wow, thank you very much! 😊
Wow! Wow! Amazing. Beautiful! Late commenting, but have been watching you since your early TH-cam days!
Your progression and advancement has been a joy to watch.

Thank you very much Kelly! 😊
Truly a labor of love.
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Stunning restoration Angie. Really a beauty. Interesting info about air filtration as well. Seeing the fur kids was a nice bonus! 😺😺💕
Thank you very much! 😀
I am absolutely blown away by your talent! Job well done! So many people would have just trashed this piece! So glad it's been rescued!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊

I love love Mid Century furniture I think they are Beautiful pieces. I was born 1959. I saw your channel on my feed so glad I opened it up love your channel you do absolutely 💯 great work. Love your pets. All the way from Fresno California. Have a wonderful day ✌️
Thank you so much for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😊
As always, just a miraculous transformation! Glad you're protecting your health as well. That means more videos! 😊
Thank you very much! 😊
A true piece of traditional yumminess! I LOVE this chest - thanks for saving it, Angie! I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: you, Trena and Tom Johnson - master craftspeople.
Thank you so much! It's an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as they are. ❤️
Wow!! Thank you so much!! I'm thrilled you like it. ❤️
✨💖✨ BEAUTIFUL! (Loved seeing the kitties!)
I'll let them know! 😉
Your feline assistants are adorable!
I really like what you did with this piece. You did a wonderful job of matching the wood tones and grain patterns. The cherry wood finish is an excellent choice.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
WOWZERS! The bookmarked drawer fronts just sing!
Thanks for this video and glad to see that you are working safely. 🎉
You're most welcome! I'm so glad you like the piece! 😊
Enjoy all your work. Really like seeing you step out to take on an older piece. In this time of throwaway everything--from clothes to furniture--t's important to appreciate the full spectrum of beautiful, high quality pieces from the past.
Thank you so much for watching! 😀
The result is beautiful for sure; you are a true artisan. Thank you for taking the time to point out the importance of protecting our lungs. Love seeing your adorable four legged assistants!
You are so welcome! 🙂
Wow, thanks for saving this one. It looks beautiful. I like that ratcheting screwdriver, too. I’ll have to get one of those.
They're fantastic!! 😀
Unbelievably fabulous Angie! A joy to watch thank you👏👏👏❤️❤️
You are so welcome! 😀
Beautiful restoration. It made me smile, seeing your air filtration system, and thankful that you'll be around a long time!
Thank you very much! 😊
Wowee, Angie! The pattern in this wood is absolutely mesmerizing! Chalk up another beauty for you, lady. What a talented wood whisperer you are! Bravo!
Awe, thank you so much! 😊

Thanks for watching!
Stunning transformation as always. I would also like to thank you for advising people about the need for protecting their lungs - once the damage is done there is no way to undo it. Being proactive with the use of masks and filtration units is essential. ❤
Absolutely! Safety is key!! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
My god, Angie. I simply can’t see the repair job on that drawer. How amazing your skills are.
Thank you kindly! 🙂
This finish is quite remarkable, Angie. Always a pleasure to see what you are working on:) Hugs from Mette in the the East of Norway, soon drowning in slush from an insane amount of snow. Anyone else looking forward to springtime? Take care, Angie:) xxx
Bring on Spring!! Isn't the weather this time of year gross? Thank you so much for watching Mette! ❤️
I completely agree, Angie. Take care of youself and cats and wife and bunnies and enjoy what little sunshine we have while we wait for summer❤@@TranscendFurnitureGallery
Gorgeous! AWESOME work
Thank you so much! 😊
as always, a stunning transformation.
Wow, thank you!
There are no words, Angie! You are so consistent in such amazing quality work and being able to see how to make each piece shine.
Thank you so much! 😊
Thanks for the brief lesson on using cherry on mahogany. You're right, the hint of red is perfect!
You're very welcome! ☺️
You did an EXCELLENT job refinishing this gorgeous piece! Thanks!
You're welcome! 🙂
Oh yes we still have all our bunnies. 😊 Your parents are INCREDIBLY lucky thank goodness!
Absolutely beautiful and so are your kitties❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Please be safe out there!
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery for sure!
What a gorgeous piece of furniture. The pattern on the veneer is beautiful. Thank you for going into so much detail about the dangers of lacquers & aerosols. It is so easy to say , for me, “I won’t be spraying much” and then skimp on safety. 😮
I'm so glad you like it! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
That patch repair was excellent. What a beauty! And thank you for all the safety lessons!
You're very welcome! Be safe! 😊
Wow,,,,You did an amazing job on this dresser Angie. The colour is gorgeous. 👍
Thank you so much Joann! I'm so glad you like it! 😊
