- Is the original Cayenne 4.8 V8 still worth buying in 2023? This is what I have been wondering for a while, finally I have a chance to drive one and it is a heavily modified overland style build by a company called Rebel.
My full review and long term test of this 2008 Porsche Cayenne S 4.8 V8. I was kindly loaned this stunning Cayenne S by a company called Rebel. Rebel is a start up tuning company that takes what is a fairly standard Cayenne from the V8 line up, put it on a custom lift kit, chunky off road tyres and some other cosmetic details. They then rebadge it as a Rebel Cayenne.
The main purpose of Rebel and what they are doing with the Cayenne is to unlock that incredible off road capability, these cars are super capable and now they have reached a certain age and price point it now makes really good sense to take one and make it even better.
In this video I have just returned from the Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2023 and on the way back we stopped of at the simply stunning city of Bath in Somerset. This was an excellent opportunity to test this Cayenne across fields, roads, motorways and even through a city. Any feedback I have is sent to Rebel who will look to improve the car further before going on sale.

Nice Porsche, i love my 2009 Cayenne gts really expensive to maintain but so worth it to buy a 957!

@@JoeTalksCars i love how you called it the brave pill hahaha🤍So true, it comes with alot of status and heritage that goes underlooked. Mine makes 35 more hp not much more but i just did a fuel pump, clutch and oil change it was 6000$ the fuel pumps are very expensive! im sure it was original tho, thankfully i was onto the hype early they are hard to find now in a good v8 spec and the turbo ones are too problematic they say.
i bought one 2007 4.8 v8 s model a week ago.Definetly worth to buy in 2024 too.Yes it's spending petrol a lot.

When the Cayenne came out, I thought they were hideous. All these years later and I still think they are hideous.

Thank you! Erm not sure now you mention it. Sometimes when I edit the sound of the car can affect the audio and sound bad so I often overlay music. Not sure in this case. Thanks for the comment tho ☺️ glad you liked it
How did you calculate MPG? With those tires, it will be 10% better than the computer indicates, unless REBEL has figured out how to re-calibrate after installing the 32" tires.

I love this Posche, i have . v8 2007 4,8 , rare in manual gearbox, I only consume 12 liters per 100, it's not much for a V8
