Completely agree with you, they need to just put it on the package already. Having to stand there and read every ingredient list of every product just to tell if it’s a tubing mascara is a nightmare. I’ve gone up to professional MUAs and asked for a good recommendation and even they didn’t even know what a tubing mascara was!
Right. L'Oreal beauty tubes did it(though it's discontinued in may countries) and a Clinique states it also, but that one is pricey. Catrice has one but they branded it "washable" instead of tubing.
agreed - the merit is amazing. and caliray was way too hard to wash off. i actually cried for 30 minutes in the merit mascara (face-palm) and it did not budge! a true test of a mascara for an emotional person like me who is often afraid to use mascara on days I know I might cry (lmao). i'm definitely interested in the VB tho and it's about the same price
La girl has an absolutely great one and it's approximately 6 bucks. Half caked has one formula that comes in different wand versions. Its more around $13. Both of these did not flake and came off easily with warm water.
I love Thrive mascara, which is a tubing mascara! I bought Joah, lash uprising which is a drug store brand on a whim and was pleasantly surprised to find its a tubing mascara!
I’m flabbergasted that you did not mention Blinc mascara. They were the first to make tubing mascaras…. Clinique also has a great tubing mascara. Very travel friendly.

I love the Caliray but agree that it's a pain to remove. I reserve it for days when I want extra water resistance, since it smudges less than waterproof mascaras for me. I've dipped in a pool with it without trouble! Love the separated, fluffy look and natural brush, too. The Maybelline Snapscara Waterproof (only the waterproof is tubing) is kind of similar to the Caliray in application and look to me, but removes more easily. Natural, curved brush. I'd sort of written off the Merit and Victoria Beckham mascaras, but now I'll have to try them!

I ask cuz I'm a waterproof mascara kind of gal but I just got a lash lift and was told not to use waterproof mascara so that the lift stays in longer. I'm about to go on vacation and am conflicted if I should use waterproof or not 🤷♀

Agree!! On essence (wanna be) tubing mascara. I have naturally long lashes but with mascara they are longer. At first I thought I got a dried out mascara and a clump came out with the wand . But as I applied it did smudge. I had a moment of sadness and there was the smudge.. I used thrive on other side and Omgggg. It’s my fav and a real tubing mascara. I mean price is excellent but they should remove the tubing claim. Tfs ❤

MeghanT - Definitely give the mini Caliray a try in hot humid weather or at the beach. I took it to FL recently and wore it everyday, at the beach, and dipped in the pool without it moving. It removes best with really warm water plus friction, so just don't rub your eyes if you go in the water a bit! Can't vouch for how it would do with serious swimming, though. ETA: the other tubing mascaras I've tried come off much more easily and I wouldn't trust them with significant face sweating or swimming.
Thank you for this video- I just learned about tubing mascara and it sounds like my ideal product. I like waterproof because it doesn’t make my long lashes give me raccoon eyes but I’m too lazy to wash it off with makeup remover so I never use it. I use regular mascara because I can wash it off fairly easily but it smudges throughout the day and I look like Lottie from princess and the frog when I go to wash it off lol. So this sounds like a perfect in between : )
Also, the L’Oreal double extend mascara is tubing if you’re looking for another drugstore option! My favorite has to be the Thrive though, because it comes in brown

I bought the age defying one by accident. I wanted to try the volumous primer by L'Oreal and ran in saw white tube. Grabbed and ran out of the store. Then got it home and realized what I had done and just decided to try it. It's a good everyday all around mascara for sure.

I think the tubing "polymer" or whatever is a PR no no in the new eco conscious world. Not sure is it microplastic or animal testing issue.
