After watching the video I’m sad my favorite isn’t yours lol, but that’s ok! And I’ve tried the no7 and I agree that removal was good but it didn’t give me the volume that I like with my mascara
I like Loreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes mascara too. I have used it more than 15 years. In periods in between I have tried other mascaras too, even high end mascaras and other 'water washable' mascaras and I allways come back to Loreal Beauty Tubes. Nothing compares to it. Last day's I'm trying to find where I can buy a new one because I'm running soon out of it and I can't find it anywhere. Even my local shop where I used to buy it, hasn't it. I don't understand why. Is it discontinued??? I'm feeling myself desperate. This is my only one favorite mascara.
@@jjennyj77 Unfortunately I don't have Ulta in my country (live in northern Europe). The shops have got 3 new type of mascaras, the packaging is the same, just different colors and they aren't tubing mascaras. Names are Pro XXL Volume, Extension and Lift. I have tried to check all online shops what we have without any success. :(
And omg the Loreal Double Extend almost never flakes\smudges. We are all different, its funny how even mascaras Can perform so differently differently on each of us. Im interested looking forward to trying some of your highest picks !

It's so interesting to see how these mascaras differed in performance for us! Like the L'Oreal one gave me the MOST volume and the Bye Bye didn't smudge at all. I took Totally Tubular on a trip to the south this past weekend with no smearing with all my heavy sweating in the humidity. Love seeing the differences, great overview!
My absolute favorite drugstore mascara is the Loreal oversized Bambi eye! Don't know if it's tubing, but it comes off with warm water at the end of the day but it doesn't smudge at all or flake through out the day, even in the rain! 😍
Is the Bambi Eye you use the waterproof version or regular?? I just tried the Loreal Age Perfect recommended in this video & it’s amazing.. I’ve cried a lot today & it didn’t budge, flake, smear and it still came off SUPER easily with warm water with no residue. Now I’m sad cuz she mentioned it’s being discontinued 😢 i want to buy a bunch of backups before I can’t get it anymore. I could buy 3-4 tubes of the Loreal for the same price as 1 of the Hourglass tubing or Thrive tubing that I currently use.
I've been using Double Extend for years. The cleanest way to remove it - use your hands, a spoon, or a cap that is about 1" in diameter to hold warm water on your eyes/eyelashes for 10-20 seconds. Then GENTLY hold lashes between your index finger and thumb as if you are pinching them -and slide the "tubes' off. Kind of freaky the first time you do it as the tubes look like your lashes in the sink. No.7 brand takes more like 30 seconds of soaking to come off but still works -so any real tubing mascara should work the same way. No rubbing - no smudging - maybe a few specks of that rinse off as you wash the rest of your face.
I swear the Maybelline sky high is a tubing mascara. It's not marketed as one, but it comes off in tubes with warm water (it does smudge if you rub it) and doesn't come off with oil cleanser. So many people say it's so hard to remove, but I think that's because it's not labeled a tubing formula. It's the closest thing I've tried to the thrive tubing mascara, but easier to apply. The thrive is easier to remove imo.
Thank you for doing all this research. I love tubbing mascara I’ve been mixing all the mascara I have with Thrive just to extend it. I can’t pay $26+ every time I need a mascara Hopefully more drugstore brands will come out with good tubbing
i will forever live by this mascara: “Secret Xpress Control 4D Silk Fiber Eyelash Mascara Extension Black Waterproof Eye Lashes” however, i haven’t seen it in stores, only online. walmart has it on their site but i haven’t checked in store for it. i think it’s a tubing mascara because of the way that it doesn’t transfer/removes in the big tuby flakes, but it’s also waterproof and i love it for when i surf! when the product is brand new, the formula is really wet, which i don’t like very much but as it starts to get a bit drier after a few weeks, it’s like the perfect application (personally).
The Maybelline snapscara is a tubing mascara but you have to get the waterproof version in order to get the tubing benefits... Don't know why they always do that. I also noticed that the Ulta brand just came out with a new tubing mascara that I would love for you to try. My personal favorite tubing mascara is from Hard Candy! Super cheap and it is a true tubing mascara. Such an underrated product and brand!

Hi! My favorite mascara is Maybelline’s the falsies push up Angel. I love this mascara! The wand makes it so you can get right at the base/lash line and just like the name, you can push up. Making a beautiful curl. And it’s buildable. And I can also say, it doesn’t smear or have fall out on me no matter how long I wear it. But I’m always open to try others. So this list is perfect! I've tried just about every tubing mascara out there. I've been was using No. 7 for a while now, and it's great but doesn't do much for lifting the lashes. I still like the easy removal. After watching this video, I bought the Age Perfect Water Proof Mascara, and it is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope they don't discontinue it. That would be a terrible mistake if they do. This is the best Loreal mascara out there. I always have the problem of mascaras smudging on my lower lashes. This one does not. I LOVE IT!! By the way, I love your videos.
So, my favourite mascara by far is the Bye Bye Panda Eyes. I had such a problem with smudging due to eye drops that I need to use and thought that wearing mascara was a thing of the past for me :( I bought this mascara because of the catchy name and it was a god send. I am just learning here though that it is a tubing mascara, I had no idea! Anyway, no smudging, the length and volume is great, maybe it flakes a little bit but sincerely, very little, and it's the easiest to remove. Like absolutely no mess at all!! I couldn't be happier with this product and the price is a bonus. I'd pay an obscene price for it if i needed to but it's $4.99!! Yay!! Give it a try, I love it! :)
I've only tried the No7, Maybelline Snapscara, and Thrive tubing mascaras. No7 dried quickly when applied (I like this), easy to remove, lasted me a long time, doesn't build. It started thinner and thickened over the months. I think this is great because you get natural look at first then more volumatic lashes a few months later. You can stagger two tubes so one (recently opened) will give you natural lashes, and the other, opened ~3 months ago, gives more volume with one layer. The wand is a little pokey. The Snapscara doesn't remove nicely which I care about a lot. I agree with Drugstore Maven's review. The wand is a bristle brush, which I don't like, as it doesn't comb through lashes well. Thrive is great but pricey. I like that it comes in brown-black. It started off pretty thick, which some people like. If I can't find the L'Oreal to try, I'm going back to the No7.
Did enjoy this type of video. Would like to see more comparisons in various catagories. Maybe for drugstore foundation, transfer proof or resistant lipsticks, primers . Really any catagory. The ranking chart is a very helpful tool. Thanks.
The effort 👏🏼👏🏼 I have oily eyelids so all mascara transfers. I hate waterproof mascara cause it's so hard to remove and I feel like it damaged my lashes. So I loved discovering tubing mascara! Absolutely love this video, love the rating system!
i cannot wear any mascara, waterproof or not, they all smudge or flake off before my day ends. Until, i found the thrive tubing one. But $$$ for mascara...yuck. I got the Caliray one during the sephora sale and like it too - I don't think it's quite as volumizing but works the same. I'm curious to try the no 7 one to see if I can finally stop either waiting for a sale or plunking down the $$$ for a simple tube of mascara.
I agree with you on the Mac Stack mascara. It's even dethroned my previous HG that was It's Superhero mascara. I love that I can build and build but yet my lashes stay soft and I have no transfer....like waterproof or the best tubing formula. It also holds my curl and I have lashes that point down! I just love it so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I use the L’Oréal Double extend. Been using it for 10 years. I agree with it not having enough volume; however, if you have have time to do a few coats the volume will be present.
I love my thrive mascara but I got it through Ipsy half price, only $12. I don’t want to repurchase for full price. I may give the No. 7 one a try next. Thanks for this!
Brilliant video Taylor!! My husband traveled when our kids were young, so I totally get how tiring it is for you. I remember actually bathing the kids in their baby pool after they had spent the day playing in it. OR, super long baths at night while they played in the water!!

Thank you! I spent a lot of money trying different affordable mascaras but then realized that I would’ve saved myself money if I just bought the Thrive mascara and be done with it. That being said, once I stopped searching I found the Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop mascara, about $14. Another great non drugstore tubing mascara is the Caliray Come Hell or High water.
The Thrive Causemetics one is the BEST! I’ve tried all of those but the Loreal Age Perfect and I went straight to the CVS this morning, found 2 waterproof ones and bought them both. Will give it a try, though it’s on the way out.
Loved this video, and hopefully your recommendations help me out with my search of a great wear mascara. My eyes tend to get very watery especially with light which causes my mascara to always run so I end up with raccoon eyes so awful 😞, it just ruins my makeup. This segment helped me so much because as you said we all may be looking for something different and for me is the wear time not so much the taking off of the product. The best makeup products are always discontinued. I’ve come to realize and accept this as just the way things are, it seems. I really love the age perfect mascara but have not tried the waterproof because I have such a difficult time getting them off. I end up losing lashes and that just defeats the purpose! I will try to see if I can nail down the waterproof version of the mascara, or I won’t because if I love it then I won’t be able to get it again. but I especially enjoy this mascara in the color brown because it gives such a soft look while still giving good definition. I also enjoy the new L’Oreal balm mascara in brown.
I found the L’Oreal waterproof at Walmart. Tried it twice this weekend was so bummed it’s flaky, no separation or length, it reminded me of a mascara on us last leg before you throw it away. I love the sky high reg mascara. It is very difficult to remove. I solve that problem by using the L’Oreal voluminous primer under it it’s a great combination. Awesome video really liked how you broke everything down and thank you for all your research hugs from Tampa.
Thank you for this video! They always discontinue the best products. I have stick straight, non existent lashes that don’t hold a curl and my fav combo ( although not tubing) is a coat or two of the maybelline rocket waterproof mascara to curled lashes, then I use my heated lash wand ( game changer when used on lashes with mascara) then I use the maybelline sky high at the tips. Tubing mascaras on their own don’t work for me but I’d love to try one of the ones you recommended after I lock in the curl with the waterproof rocket mascara. That mascara ( in both formulas) is great because you can keep layering ( even after hrs have gone by) and it’s not hard to get off.
I’m coming back to rewatch and comment on this awesome ranking. I decided to try the LA Girl mascara on a whim. It’s been unseasonably cooler so I can’t wait to see how it performs in the heat. Either way OMG I’m so in love. I have the hardest lashes to get mascara to work. Even if I get a few lashes to stick together I can go back once it drys and comb through and my lashes are perfect. I think this will be my new all time favorite. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!😊

I’ve been using the L’Oréal mascara for years. I almost never use the priming side and I rarely have it come off onto my face. I work long shifts at a hospital and medical emergency transport team. It holds up all day! I did have to stop wearing it when we used goggles and N95s all day because I sweated it off and onto my under eyes and cheeks.

State of Kait put me onto the L’Oreal Age Perfect Waterproof, and that stuff flaked so BADLY! I work in fast food, and like four hours into a very sweaty eight- or ten-hour shift, I had very obvious flakes under my eyes. (My boss noticed lmao.) I have smaller features than the regular person in general, and my eyes are especially small, which is why mascaras are so hard for me to find-EVERYTHING flakes and smudges, just because of the nature of my tiny eyeballs-but the L’Oreal sucked for me. I don’t really feel like the flaking was because of my tiny eyeballs, this time. I’m excited to try that No. 7 trick; I really hope it works for me 😭 Thank you for making this video!!
Oh that’s interesting, the essence Bye Bye works wonders for me, no smudging even after 12 hours.. they canceled it though, so now I’m looking for a new one! That’s how I ended up here 😁❤️
Catrice has the Glam & Doll Easy Wash Off Mascara, maybe this one works for you. I‘m sad they discontinued the Better than waterproof one, it was my favourite drugstore mascara.
I think that mascaras is such a personal thing. I love the thrive mascara but it is pricey and also can’t get it at Walgreens lol My go to mascara is the maybelline lash sensational, I been using that one for years.
I have to use the Thrive. For me it’s worth it because I don’t wear mascara every day. But it’s also the only mascara that doesn’t burn my sensitive eyes upon removal. I had no idea that these drugstore products were tubing mascaras!!! Such a bummer about that L’Oréal one. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this video! I loved the way you ranked them👍🏼

Everything smudges on me so much so that I have given up on applying mascara until I discovered tubing mascara. I haven’t tried too many. I thought the L’Oréal mascara with the primer was pretty good. You should look into the heimish brand. Doesn’t give you volume but removal is super easy..and it doesn’t smudge.
the loreal unlimited one is also a great tubing mascara. i love the packaging too, you get great control with the short wand. but i didn’t know it was a tubing mascara and was mad confused when it came off in tubes 😂

The best mascara I've ever used is the Mac stack mascara. I don't know if it's a tubing mascara, but it does come off with warm water! 💜💞💜

I LOVE MAC products but didn't find the stacked brush to be "all that". For the price, I'll stick to my Loreal Voluminous. Happy that you like it! 👍
I agree with you on the Mac Stack mascara. It's even dethroned my previous HG that was It's Superhero mascara. I love that I can build and build but yet my lashes stay soft and I have no transfer....like waterproof or the best tubing formula. It also holds my curl and I have lashes that point down! I just love it so much! ❤️❤️❤️

I use the L’Oréal Double extend. Been using it for 10 years. I agree with it not having enough volume; however, if you have have time to do a few coats the volume will be present.
I love my thrive mascara but I got it through Ipsy half price, only $12. I don’t want to repurchase for full price. I may give the No. 7 one a try next. Thanks for this!

Brilliant video Taylor!! My husband traveled when our kids were young, so I totally get how tiring it is for you. I remember actually bathing the kids in their baby pool after they had spent the day playing in it. OR, super long baths at night while they played in the water!!

Thank you! I spent a lot of money trying different affordable mascaras but then realized that I would’ve saved myself money if I just bought the Thrive mascara and be done with it. That being said, once I stopped searching I found the Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop mascara, about $14. Another great non drugstore tubing mascara is the Caliray Come Hell or High water.
The Thrive Causemetics one is the BEST! I’ve tried all of those but the Loreal Age Perfect and I went straight to the CVS this morning, found 2 waterproof ones and bought them both. Will give it a try, though it’s on the way out.
Loved this video, and hopefully your recommendations help me out with my search of a great wear mascara. My eyes tend to get very watery especially with light which causes my mascara to always run so I end up with raccoon eyes so awful 😞, it just ruins my makeup. This segment helped me so much because as you said we all may be looking for something different and for me is the wear time not so much the taking off of the product. I love the Age Perfect Waterproof Mascara, and had never tried a tubing mascara, so didn’t realize it was a tubing mascara! I’m so sad it’s discontinued!
Sounds like the age perfect would be my perfect mascara. I will be on the hunt to find and buy it if it’s available. I was so excited to see this video. I love tubing mascara and have very reluctantly been buying Thrive because mascara transfers so badly on me. Thank you!
The best makeup products are always discontinued. I’ve come to realize and accept this as just the way things are, it seems. I really love the age perfect mascara but have not tried the waterproof because I have such a difficult time getting them off. I end up losing lashes and that just defeats the purpose! I will try to see if I can nail down the waterproof version of the mascara, or I won’t because if I love it then I won’t be able to get it again. but I especially enjoy this mascara in the color brown because it gives such a soft look while still giving good definition. I also enjoy the new L’Oreal balm mascara in brown.

I found the L’Oreal waterproof at Walmart. Tried it twice this weekend was so bummed it’s flaky, no separation or length, it reminded me of a mascara on us last leg before you throw it away. I love the sky high reg mascara. It is very difficult to remove. I solve that problem by using the L’Oreal voluminous primer under it it’s a great combination. Awesome video really liked how you broke everything down and thank you for all your research hugs from Tampa.

I think the essence double trouble waterproof is a tubing mascara! The second ingredient is a polymer 🤔 The normal one isn’t though
Thank you for this video! They always discontinue the best products. I have stick straight, non existent lashes that don’t hold a curl and my fav combo ( although not tubing) is a coat or two of the maybelline rocket waterproof mascara to curled lashes, then I use my heated lash wand ( game changer when used on lashes with mascara) then I use the maybelline sky high at the tips. Tubing mascaras on their own don’t work for me but I’d love to try one of the ones you recommended after I lock in the curl with the waterproof rocket mascara. That mascara ( in both formulas) is great because you can keep layering ( even after hrs have gone by) and it’s not hard to get off.

I’m coming back to rewatch and comment on this awesome ranking. I decided to try the LA Girl mascara on a whim. It’s been unseasonably cooler so I can’t wait to see how it performs in the heat. Either way OMG I’m so in love. I have the hardest lashes to get mascara to work. Even if I get a few lashes to stick together I can go back once it drys and comb through and my lashes are perfect. I think this will be my new all time favorite. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!😊

I bought the Age Perfect (not the waterproof) based on your recommendation and holy smokes it’s amazing!!!
I’ve been using the L’Oréal mascara for years. I almost never use the priming side and I rarely have it come off onto my face. I work long shifts at a hospital and medical emergency transport team. It holds up all day! I did have to stop wearing it when we used goggles and N95s all day because I sweated it off and onto my under eyes and cheeks.

State of Kait put me onto the L’Oreal Age Perfect Waterproof, and that stuff flaked so BADLY! I work in fast food, and like four hours into a very sweaty eight- or ten-hour shift, I had very obvious flakes under my eyes. (My boss noticed lmao.) I have smaller features than the regular person in general, and my eyes are especially small, which is why mascaras are so hard for me to find-EVERYTHING flakes and smudges, just because of the nature of my tiny eyeballs-but the L’Oreal sucked for me. I don’t really feel like the flaking was because of my tiny eyeballs, this time. I’m excited to try that No. 7 trick; I really hope it works for me 😭 Thank you for making this video!!
LA Colors has a tubing mascara as well; it’s called Biggie Lash and comes on a shiny purple tube.

Oh that’s interesting, the essence Bye Bye works wonders for me, no smudging even after 12 hours.. they canceled it though, so now I’m looking for a new one! That’s how I ended up here 😁❤️
Catrice has the Glam & Doll Easy Wash Off Mascara, maybe this one works for you. I‘m sad they discontinued the Better than waterproof one, it was my favourite drugstore mascara.
I think that mascaras is such a personal thing. I love the thrive mascara but it is pricey and also can’t get it at Walgreens lol My go to mascara is the maybelline lash sensational, I been using that one for years.
I loved the hard candy ones. They were here n gone. Loved those.
I have to use the Thrive. For me it’s worth it because I don’t wear mascara every day. But it’s also the only mascara that doesn’t burn my sensitive eyes upon removal. I had no idea that these drugstore products were tubing mascaras!!! Such a bummer about that L’Oréal one. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this video! I loved the way you ranked them👍🏼

Everything smudges on me so much so that I have given up on applying mascara until I discovered tubing mascara. I haven’t tried too many. I thought the L’Oréal mascara with the primer was pretty good. You should look into the heimish brand. Doesn’t give you volume but removal is super easy..and it doesn’t smudge.

the loreal unlimited one is also a great tubing mascara. i love the packaging too, you get great control with the short wand. but i didn’t know it was a tubing mascara and was mad confused when it came off in tubes 😂
It’s not drugstore, but the Caliray Hell or High water mascara is an amazing tubing mascara.
