That, and the fact that she didn't say anything even when her son was kidnapped by the FOH and almost died. It shows that she doesn't really care about her son, just her buissness.

I liked how these past two episodes have talked about assimilation and tolerance. We examine assimilation from the perspectives of the oppressors (Shi’Ar) and the oppressed (Storm and Forge) only for Xavier to criticize the very idea of making others less so you could be more. Then in this episode we see the X-Men question the very notion of tolerance if it means they have to beg to be seen as people. Scott even talks about Magneto being right about things like the Genosha attack. We’re seeing more signs of the “Cyclops is Right” Scott coming out……and I’m here for it 😏. Rogue going on a rampage was soooo good and we get more examples of Captain America (or other Avengers) being irritating obstacles at best or flat out antagonists at worst in X-Men stories. It’s really a tale of two cities when you see the Avengers in X-Men stories versus their own 😂. It was great seeing Emma get her diamond form secondary mutation just like after the Genosha attack in the comics. Hopefully they do Emma well. Really like that character. Also the voice cast continues to knock it out of the park. Theo James kills it as Bastion.
@@leonardobraynen1524 I think the angle there to explain it has to be racism. Mutants are seen as an inferior group of people whereas Avengers are lauded as human heroes. It’s the only way to make it make sense. With mutants there is a sense of identity and culture. They literally had their own country. With Avengers, they are special humans ranging from a legendary super soldier, a god, a billionaire industrialist, etc. People can probably still identify with them in a way they can’t with mutants because mutants are inherently seen as a different species. That’s how I always saw it and it provides for the best storytelling opportunities. But yeah I do agree that it can get pretty muddled sometimes with the distinction.
Cap wasn’t really irritable here. He gave Rogue good intel and never even tried to stop her. He just said he himself couldn’t go until it was approved.

Our mystery guy is Bastion, along with the aid of his newly constructed Prime Sentinels. He was given approval to implement this plan, which was dubbed "Operation: Zero Tolerance". OZT...... He managed to capture a large number of the X-Men early on and was also able to seize control of the X-Mansion.
Also remember that when they sent Nathan into the future Madalyn left a psychic message for him, but Scott didn’t want to be a part of it. So that might be a part of his feelings too.
I WISH they would do Onslaught. But I think Bastion will use Magneto to draw out Xavier…get the rest of the X-Men in one spot and swarm with prime Sentinels. Maybe a Second Coming scenario towards the end🧐
That's really not funny considering the impact that had on the comic book world, Onslaught was a pure menace and the stupid thing is he came before Bastion. Bastion used Onslaught to justify OZT and Onslaught was created through Xavier doing this exact stupid shit that Rouge just tried to do and everyone watching is cheering for. If anything the positive support for the X-Men killing Trask actually shows how easily society is manipulated
I hope not, Onslaught is awful. By which I mean: a bad concept, a crappy character that is much less than the sum of its parts, and only ever awfully executed so far. Edit: Also, killing defenseless innocents is evil. Some people seem to need the reminder.
Captain america showing up and like hinting more avengers will show up is a setup for the upcoming season it seems... but who knows? The voice actor for the other villain named Bastion is Theo James, he is known for voicing as hector from Castlevania that you guys reacted before... And lastly i love that killing/murder is already normal now in this series...
Bastion and the Prime Sentinels are such a '90s reference, but I love how they've upgraded him. I think he's going to be revealed as Nimrod as well, just in disguise, Terminator style. That's the reference to him being one of the old villains, evolved. They're also introducing the Avengers and Magneto's alive. That makes me think of one 90's storyline: Onslaught. A quick primer: in the comics, Charles Xavier erased Magneto's mind after he ripped Wolverine's Adamantium from his skeleton. Nobody knew that this would cause Magneto's trauma to 'infect' Charles. Essentially, he developed a genocidal alter that tried to take over the body of Franklin Richards (the son of Reed and Sue Richards of the Fantastic 4, a kid mutant with godlike powers). The reason I think some version of this might happen, is that this results in a team up between the X-men, the Avengers and the Fantastic 4 that ends with the disappearance of the FF and the Avengers, who Franklin secretly transports to ALTERNATE REALITIES and can't remember the original timeline. This could explain why the X-men, Fantastic Four and Avengers haven't met before in the MCU: the Avengers we know are actually secretly survivors of the battle with Onslaught! Listen I know this sound WILD, but the only other reason I can think of for the Avengers being in this season is they're doing an X-men vs. Avengers thing. Onslaught it's the only way I can think of to introduce the FF and mutants into the MCU without retconning a whole bunch of things, which Marvel still might do.

Rouge saying it's easier to break into a prison then out is a way to confirm that she is not as powerful as the Hulk because her permanent powers are the ones she was forced to take from Carol Danvers aka Ms Marvel in the comics and in the 90s series when we see Danvers was still in a coma and maybe waking up after Rouge touches her again.
We do see Captain America in a Wolverine flash back in last season of the 90s series and if i remember correctly we see a small glimpse of an alternative time line version of Captain America, Wasp, and Giant-Man( Ant-Man) in the two part episode One Mans Worth where a young Xavier is killed and the present time l8ne is at war between mutants & humans. Bishop and his sister have to recruit the Wolverine and his wife Storm from the new time line to travel back in time to correct the present.

The Roberto scene is always interesting. Half the people watching are offended at the mom the other half think that unlike jubilee if Roberto goes public stock prices drop orders are cancelled and thousands of people lose their jobs. Privilege has restrictions too.
That whole Rogue & Cap America interaction feels like it was alluding to a possible future conflict. Rogue left with the impression that even heroes like Cap America won't stand up for mutants because at the end, heroes like Cap will always try to save humans first. I also feel like Cap left that scenario feeling like mutants are out of control and could possible become a bigger problem.
I don’t like how Roberto mom went about it. It rings too similar to how gays were treated. You would hear it all the time about people in power hiding they have a gay son or daughter. Bars or clubs that had heavy gay popularity would get raided and destroyed. Hate crimes on people for being homosexual. That's really not funny considering the impact that had on the comic book world, Onslaught was a pure menace and the stupid thing is he came before Bastion. Bastion used Onslaught to justify OZT and Onslaught was created through Xavier doing this exact stupid shit that Rouge just tried to do and everyone watching is cheering for. If anything the positive support for the X-Men killing Trask actually shows how easily society is manipulated

Bastion and the Prime Sentinels are such a '90s reference, but I love how they've upgraded him. I think he's going to be revealed as Nimrod as well, just in disguise, Terminator style. That's the reference to him being one of the old villains, evolved.
They're also introducing the Avengers and Magneto's alive. That makes me think of one 90's storyline: Onslaught. A quick primer: in the comics, Charles Xavier erased Magneto's mind after he ripped Wolverine's Adamantium from his skeleton. Nobody knew that this would cause Magneto's trauma to 'infect' Charles. Essentially, he developed a genocidal alter that tried to take over the body of Franklin Richards (the son of Reed and Sue Richards of the Fantastic 4, a kid mutant with godlike powers).
The reason I think some version of this might happen, is that this results in a team up between the X-men, the Avengers and the Fantastic 4 that ends with the disappearance of the FF and the Avengers, who Franklin secretly transports to ALTERNATE REALITIES and can't remember the original timeline. This could explain why the X-men, Fantastic Four and Avengers haven't met before in the MCU: the Avengers we know are actually secretly survivors of the battle with Onslaught!
Listen I know this sound WILD, but the only other reason I can think of for the Avengers being in this season is they're doing an X-men vs. Avengers thing. Onslaught it's the only way I can think of to introduce the FF and mutants into the MCU without retconning a whole bunch of things, which Marvel still might do.

Cyclops is his own man and led the team since his teens. Cyke doesn’t agree with Xavier’s idealism. He’s a pragmatist. He actually gets things done.

We do see Captain America in a Wolverine flash back in last season of the 90s series and if i remember correctly we see a small glimpse of an alternative time line version of Captain America, Wasp, and Giant-Man( Ant-Man) in the two part episode One Mans Worth where a young Xavier is killed and the present time l8ne is at war between mutants & humans. Bishop and his sister have to recruit the Wolverine and his wife Storm from the new time line to travel back in time to correct the present.
also X-Men: TAS took place in the same continuity as Spider-Man: TAS, so he could show up too

The Roberto scene is always interesting. Half the people watching are offended at the mom the other half think that unlike jubilee if Roberto goes public stock prices drop orders are cancelled and thousands of people lose their jobs. Privilege has restrictions too.
That whole Rogue & Cap America interaction feels like it was alluding to a possible future conflict. Rogue left with the impression that even heroes like Cap America won't stand up for mutants because at the end, heroes like Cap will always try to save humans first. I also feel like Cap left that scenario feeling like mutants are out of control and could possible become a bigger problem.

I don’t like how Roberto mom went about it. It rings too similar to how gays were treated. You would hear it all the time about people in power hiding they have a gay son or daughter. Bars or clubs that had heavy gay popularity would get raided and destroyed. Hate crimes on people for being homosexual. It’s one thing if his mom is telling him to hide what he is for safety reasons, but she really only cares about the effects on their business.
