The reason why Fury never contacted Captain Marvel until Infinity War is because he knows Captain Marvel is busy dealing universal threats. Her problem isn't limited to earth's alone.
Sure, that's retcon that kind of makes some sense within the MCU. In reality, he didn't contact Carol because nobody in the MCU had written her yet... and putting her into the past created this kind of continuity flaw later on. The next to last film of Phase 3, originally known as Infinity War part 2 and the end of the Infinity Saga. The writers and directors of the Captain America' sequels were truly the right team for this grandest of finales. The filming took place at American and European studios in course of one year. For us comic book movies fans, it got no bigger than this. I saw it twice on Cinco de Mayo, 2019 in Imax and Imax 3D. Clocking in at 3 hours and 18 mins seemed a bit much. But it was worthy for the price of admission. The state of the universe after the snap was so somber. Our heroes losing and struggling with defeat could be felt without a doubt. Holding one's*** together, trying to move on is never easy. The snap in a way reminds me of the pandemic. Times changing for the unforeseeable future and just trying to maintain.
I often wonder about the people who did move on,remarried, had kids....and then they snapped everyone back from 5 years ago... how would you deal with your old life and your new one?
you cant kill baby thanos because that doesnt change anything, time travel doesnt change your past, thats what Hulk explains Thats why Scott says: "so back in the future is a lot of bs?", because in the marvel universe time travel doesnt change your past, but create can create timelines like the Ancentral explains to Hulk
I remember i went on sunday in the AM the weekend this came out because I wanted to try and avoid a huge crowd. When i got there, the whole theater was filled to the max 😂
If Strange had told them what had to happen for the one chance, they wouldn't have done it. None of them would have been willing to make the necessary sacrifices. Him telling them would have been one of the possibilities he looked at.
You're going to realize at the end that doctor strange couldn't tell them the one way they win, because if everybody knew their fate they might do things differently to avoid it! He said if I tell you what happens then it won't happen so everything that will happen has to happen for it to work!!
Except Tony imo. He would do it no matter what. And that's why in the end Strange signaled Tony that this is the one. This is the time to act. And he still did what he needed
My headcanon ===> Everybody was down on Star-Lord in Infinty War for losing his temper, which allowed Thanos to escape Mantis. My strong belief is that Dr. Strange did, in fact, stop Star-Lord in at least one of the millions of futures, but it had no effect. Thanos, I believe, is essentially immortal. Gamora basically hinted at this in GotG2, when she told Nebula that it wasn't possible to kill Thanos. And Thanos is always saying that he is "inevitable." So regardless what the Avengers did to stop him, he was going to obtain the stones and snap his fingers. Sooner or later. Only someone wielding the Infinity Stones had the power to completely kill Thanos. And that was what Dr. Strange saw. (Thanos in the first part of Endgame used the stones to destroy the stones and Make Himself Mortal. In Thanos' mind, his job was done. He could live out the remainder of his mortal life in contentment.)
You really made a lot up here, huh? Making up that he is immortal is crazy mental gymnastics. He's just a purple titan. He's a mutant, but his mutations aren't that crazy. Him saying he's inevitable is just ego and confidence. His will power is unprecedented. Star Lord is just a moron. The only way I'm ok with believing that him not fucking it all up was mandatory for them to have the correct timeline is if we can think of any way that Thanos would have been able to get the gauntlet back after they took it from him. I mean really. Let's say Quill doesn't fuck up, they take it, now Thanos has ZERO powers, tony flies away with the gauntlet... now what. The end. Thanos has ZERO backup while on Titan. He had NO help. I find it very hard to believe that, that one little fuck up by Quill was the only way that could have gone. I love the movie. Could watch it a million times, but pick better head cannons. @@mdneal79I don't expect you to read all this. Just had to vent.
@@SLAP1FACE Thank you for your comment. This is how I managed to perform my "mental gymnastics." 1. The Avengers are not an incompetent group of idiots, and yet Dr. Strange was able to find only one future path for victory out of 14,000,605 paths. 1 out of 14,000,605. Just one! 2. Out of those millions of possible futures, Dr. Strange had to have thought of stopping Star-Lord from screwing things up. Dr. Strange is not an idiot. 3. Pseudo-immortality is easy even for advanced human beings. I expect we will have crude versions of pseudo-immortality in real life by the end of the next century (if we humans don't self-extinct before then). Essentially it means having our brain's thoughts and emotions recorded and injected into a new clone whenever the current clone dies or becomes incapacitated. Hence just killing or incapacitating Thanos, was not going to work. Dr. Strange attempted that strategy millions of times to no avail. So, pick your poison: 1. The Avengers are incompetent idiots. 2. Dr. Strange is an incompetent idiot. 3. Thanos' grand plan to kill half of the universe does not have any fail-safes and fall-backs, which means he is an incompetent idiot.
"I'm still worthy" breaks me every damn time. After EVERYTHING he's been through...after 'failing' everyone...after the years since then battling depression, anxiety, PTSD, alcoholism, binge eating...after every single thing he's endured and everything he's done to himself, he's still worthy. There's a lesson there for all of us.
The saddest parts is that Hawkeye was entirely alone. He did not know what was going on with the Avengers and Thanos due to being retired 😢 so he was utterly alone when his family disappeared not knowing what the heck was going on ❤❤

You'll learn this later, but it's not a spoiler really. Fury IS in occasional contact with Cpt. Marvel after a time. When hasn't been shown. But Carol spent years involved with other planets. This it's likely Carol wasn't available if and when he ever contacted prior to Infinity War.
The number of times my eyes watered in this movie is more than any other movie I've seen, probably even Return of the King. That's pretty damn impressive and a testament to the writing. This started off as just fun superhero action movies and by this film they had created complex characters and real pathos in its most emotional moments.
I saw this movie in the cinema four times back then. It was such a wonderful experience, and I doubt I'd ever be that passionate about another movie again.
I went to the fan event 4 days before it came out everywhere. There was 600 people in my theatre, it was a full on concert. People were cosplaying as there favorite characters, there was a gamora painted full green head to toe. They gave us a colletable coin, a blanket and a free cocktail 🍸. It was literally a concert the way people were cheering and screaming jumping out there seats. Ill never forget the experience. Until galactus is announced as the next big bad and 10 years later we get the next big endgame i dont think we'll get another theatre event like that for any other movie.
When you get a chance, rewatch the Marvel Studios logo at the beginning ... the snapped characters are missing from the intro, and in the "L" of Marvel where Ant-Man's face normally is there's a clip instead of him floating in the quantum realm.
11:25 RDJ slipping in that "Liar" is a magnificent call back to Cap lying about Tony's parents. I'm so glad they let him adlib it. 15:56 Five years later, was after a year-long wait irl, honestly was just confused about how any of this would work out. Definitely went i to this movie considering everyone could die and the Avengers would just end. 38:22 Cap being subversive and manipulating the Hydra team in the lift was so well done. 31:16 Effectively they are traveling in another's dimensions timeline, they cannot change their timeline events but they can use the infinity stones to change their future.
I often watch theater reactions to this movie as well as Infinity War so I don’t forget how epic these movies were at the time of release. Waiting a year, speculating, theorizing, paying attention to the marketing, then the moment it’s available heading to the theater with hundreds/thousands of people. Man idk if we’ll ever experience something like that again.
6:21 in..... yea Stef... thats where it started.... Favorite movie of all time. Ive trained my self in sword combat because Jedi, studied the sciences because Starfleet, push myself to keep going no matter what because Laura Kinney NEVER gives up. But this movie... How would you react with all your loved ones simply GONE. in an instant. Who would you turn to when you have no one else to turn to... What would you do and how far would you go if all of existence depended upon your success... There are many masterpieces of cinema. And than, there is this:
Stef: 1. I say Wanda is strongest. Some say Carol. Others say Thor or Hulk. That's the fun of being a Marvel Fan. 2. The rat in the van flipped the switch and activated the return mechanism from the quantum realm for Scott. 3. Yes, Stef, this is one successful timeline Strange saw in his look into possible outcomes. He can't tell anyone
20 years of movies leads to this. This movie is actually a study on mental health. Widow is burying himself in her work. Cap is doing charity work (bless him !). Clint is lost in his rage. Hulk is literally putting forwards a false front. And Stark is torn apart after losing "the kid". And then there is Thor (been there !) Remember that this was shot before Captain Marvel was filmed so there are a few loose ends (ie: where was she when Thanos first invaded ?)
Clint/Hawkeye has always been my favorite MCU Avenger, and this opening still hurts me badly. It was nice to see them work in a reference to the Clint as Ronin story, but his "Don't give me hope." is just extra hurtful. Jeremy Renner was so brilliant as Hawkeye.
Saw this in 3d imax, it’s literally the most unforgettable theater experience I will ever have. I can’t even explain the energy in the theater during the final battle
21:12 Bill Foster, former colleague of Dr Pym. I’m not sure any of the fandom actually thought about him for this mission involving the Quantum Realm. Great idea 🤝

26:33 this was Lee More. Although he had a short part as old Ant-Man, he unfortunately passed away a couple months after filming this scene. Nevertheless, he died an Avenger.
Tony Stark, "When you mess with time, it tends to mess back, you will see." That experience was never explained. When he tested his device, where did he go and what did he see? I still believe the pay off is yet to be delivered.
Yeah it’s maybe a handful of times where I saw people trying to sit on the steps in the movies and every seat filled I saw it night two of release it was crazy
I think you should watch the Tobey Marguire Spider-Man series, and then andrew garifeild, then tom holland and let me tell you every single one of those spiderman movies your going to love. And most are going to bring a mixure of tears and joy.
Fury didn't contact Captain Marvel because the studio needed to make a super powerful female character, so they made her, and then they couldn't put her anywhere because she was too strong🤣

Damn I hate these two part reactions. TH-cam allows longer run times now. FML
Damn you're short.
@@drsavage3262 As I understand it, reactors do big movies in multiple parts to avoid running into so many issues with copyright claims, not because of any runtime limitations from YT's part.
At the same time, she has to be away from Earth most of the time, unless the writers specifically want her in. She's just too powerful and would basically make everyone else useless.
@@Syndur Well, it was kinda badly setup. The writing from BP, Ragnarök to McGuffin War and this horrible plot hole of Endgame and then frw has been pretty bad. Of course our Captain should've been included a lot sooner.
With that said there is no real flaw, the explanation "works", at least more so than evil time rapist Steve putting back the stones, BW sacrifice and all the other absolute nonsense we see in Endgame.

So, in any case, because of your reactions to every MCU movie, including this one, I love you 3000, Stef, and thank you for posting your reactions to these movies, even though I haven't seen all of them, but only a few. Your reaction was exactly like everyone who has watched this, joy, excitement and sadness all in one. Every bit the way I expected you to react, absolutely perfect, cannot wait for Part 2
For me, I found the very start the most sad thing of all. When Hawkeyes whole family disappeared.
That's why he briefly became Ronin
That’s why in age of ultron we get introduced to his whole family and we already have a connection to them.
*Hawkeye's
Thanos brought the latina out of you girl 😂

Uhhhh I'm fairly sure that a Solari is an Italian name, not Hispanic. Although I guess her mother could be Hispanic.
I often wonder about the people who did move on,remarried, had kids....and then they snapped everyone back from 5 years ago... how would you deal with your old life and your new one?
This is a top tier reaction Stef! Waited so long for this. Amazing as always and I’m so looking forward to the rest. Have a great weekend Stef. 🤗
you cant kill baby thanos because that doesnt change anything, time travel doesnt change your past, thats what Hulk explains
Thats why Scott says: "so back in the future is a lot of bs?", because in the marvel universe time travel doesnt change your past, but create can create timelines like the Ancentral explains to Hulk
Ancentral like New York Grand Central Station?
Yeah she's not paying attention.

I waited 197 days for Stef to post endgame. Plus I got chick fil a the same time she posted as well
You're going to realize at the end that doctor strange couldn't tell them the one way they win, because if everybody knew their fate they might do things differently to avoid it! He said if I tell you what happens then it won't happen so everything that will happen has to happen for it to work!!
Except Tony imo. He would do it no matter what. And that's why in the end Strange signaled Tony that this is the one. This is the time to act. And he still did what he needed
@@CrazeeAdam Yeah, Tony already had the idea in his head of what he was about to do, and looked to Strange for confirmation it would be the 'one'.
My headcanon ===>
Everybody was down on Star-Lord in Infinty War for losing his temper, which allowed Thanos to escape Mantis.
This is how I managed to perform my "mental gymnastics."
When I saw this in the theater I had the same feeling when Thanos died. I was like "WTF is this movie about" lmao happened so fast
Happened so fast? Its been going on since 2008 lol
@@jrag1000 Im referring to Thanos dying in the the first 15 mins of this movie. Learn how to read, why would I be referring to the entire mcu.
Right? Uhh...that's all, movie's over? Really nowhere else to go after decapitating the villain, is there?
Nolan throws shade at these movies. Infinity War and Endgame are as emotional and impactful as movies like Interstellar
The saddest parts is that Hawkeye was entirely alone. He did not know what was going on with the Avengers and Thanos due to being retired 😢 so he was utterly alone when his family disappeared not knowing what the heck was going on ❤❤
Those were "Ronin" days. Its true to the comics as best it could've been.
@@josephcrowe2908 cool. 😎 I didn’t know that. I’d admit I haven’t read much comics but I still love the movies! And I loved how the story continued in Hawkeye the show. I feel like he’s such an underrated character but he’s got so much depth and such an amazing character. Thanks for the info. ❤️

11:27 When Tony really spat the word "Liar!" in Steve’s face in this scene, that was an ad-lib by RDJ. It worked. 👏
Great reaction again Stef so good 🥰
"If I tell you what happens, it wont happen" Dr. Strange.............just a great reaction, when u get emotional it hurts my heart
Scott got out because the rat activated the keypad re-entry sequence as it walked on it.

2. The rat in the van flipped the switch and activated the return mechanism from the quantum realm for Scott.
3. Yes, Stef, this is one successful timeline Strange saw in his look into possible outcomes. He can't tell anyone
I love Avengers infinity war and endgame
So happy you're finally here!!
20 years of movies leads to this.
This movie is actually a study on mental health. Widow is burying himself in her work. Cap is doing charity work (bless him !). Clint is lost in his rage. Hulk is literally putting forwards a false front. And Stark is torn apart after losing "the kid". And then there is Thor (been there !)
Remember that this was shot before Captain Marvel was filmed so there are a few loose ends (ie: where was she when Thanos first invaded ?)
I'm curious, what do you mean by 20 years? It was 11 years since hulk and iron man released before this
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the scene with Tony and Nebula at the start was the first time Nebula experienced fun.
