To answer your question about Cyclops, I can’t think of any animated* story in which he ditches the X-Men to do his own thing with other people. However, in the comics* he realizes that Professor X is wrong. So he becomes an anti-hero who leads his own team of more X-Treme X-Men with Magneto and Emma Frost. You might’ve heard “Cyclops was right” it’s a reference to “Magneto was right” and a popular pro-mutant slogan. Currently in the comics Scott is a fusion of the boy scout he started out as and the violent revolutionary he later became. Btw Cyclops was indeed right. Charles Xavier’s dream, although naive, isn’t wrong. However, Charle’s approach to achieving his dream is way too soft and passive, it lead to the loss of many innocent mutants (including children he sacrificed for the greater good). Magneto is no better, his overly aggressive methods only made humans more hateful, and he failed to protect thousands of mutants (look up what happened to Genosha). Cyclop’s balance between the two ideologies has pretty much become the modern political stance of nearly all the X-Men, including the Professor and Magneto. Cyclops did commit some war crimes but he was possessed by the Phoenix Force so it doesn’t really count. Phoenix Cyclops also made Charles go bye bye, but don’t worry he got better (because comics).
Cyclops has previously used his blasts to slow his fall a few times, most famously as a child when his parents plane blew up, he used his blasts for the first time to slow his and havok's fall to the ground.

16:50 Lots of times like this for me while watching the show. Being surprised of the appearance of a character and forgetting it was just Morph. 17:20 90's animators can't even fathom Cyclops using his powers in any creative way.
I wonder if the show Lee was referring to was Wolverine and the X-Men. I didn't watch it myself, but that had Logan as team leader which would have freed Cyclops from ordering people around. (I've read he tended to be sidelined quite a bit though.) That said, Cyclops in the comics even had a militant mutant arc where he was considered a villain depending on who you spoke to.
I'm sure someone has probably commented on it by now, but "To me, my X-Men" is a classic line from the comics. It's the equivalent of "Avengers Assemble"
3:00 i think that is Wolverine and the x men animated show, Cyclops is great in that show tbh, Cyclops is a badass, but my fav version of him is when he become an extremist/villain on the marvel comics , such a badass imo.
To me my Xmen. Is as good as Avengers Assemble. It’s what professor X would say so Scott saying it is like his way of accepting that he is now the leader of the xmen in professor x absence.
I love that Rock Lee has evolved from Cyclops-hater to Cyclops-appreciator. Good shit. I've always liked his power, but I read some of his solo comics, and he's not to be fucked with for sure.

Hahaha just discovered you guys. Loved the Cyclops debate, me and my buddies had the same one so many times! I admit I was a Cyclops hater once, but no more!
Its not even that he has an OP power; cyclops has been training with the professor since he was a kid. He has learned how to fight and use his powers extensively. Its the reason why for some of us who are original comic readers the cyclops presented in the movies has been so dissappointing. The guy can cook.
Only time I know where cyclops lead a different team of X-men is in the comics. Which from the way youre describing him sounds like the cyclops you’re talking bout.
@@YaBoyRockLee Lmao, you just don’t read comics and have little exposure to the character. Don’t make this about race or age. Cyclops as always been him outside the Singer films. That’s just facts.

My mind was mainly on Wolverine throughout my childhood, but I always thought Cyclops was cool too. ‘97 was just an over-due reminder of that after a lack of proper X-media for so long. The animation sure helps.
Cyclops has always been a badass. At one point, he didn't want to say that he had a "Plan B" because it implies that he stops having plans at "Z". He prefers plan 2. He then proceeds to pull out over 58 different tactics to handle the situation on the fly with no prep using the X-men members available in various combinations. It's not that the characters are animated to be stronger in this. This is just what they should be at their comic book levels. In some ways, this is actually not their full power either as their comic book counterparts are actually still stronger in the cases of Jean, Storm, Magneto, Emma Frost, Iceman, Rogue and more.

As a young kid in the 90s I like cyclops because his power was cool and have the same first name which is enough at that ages. It makes me happy as shit they made him more accurate!
16:50 Lots of times like this for me while watching the show. Being surprised of the appearance of a character and forgetting it was just Morph.
17:20 90's animators can't even fathom Cyclops using his powers in any creative way.
In case no one mentioned it the mutant they saved was Sunspot that was in X-Men Days Of Futures Past.
The Cyclops you are seeing is from the comics he grow to become like that …. Only the Japan anime got him right somewhat
Correct
1:07 - 1:27 the PASSION LMAO 😂
I wonder if the show Lee was referring to was Wolverine and the X-Men. I didn't watch it myself, but that had Logan as team leader which would have freed Cyclops from ordering people around. (I've read he tended to be sidelined quite a bit though.) That said, Cyclops in the comics even had a militant mutant arc where he was considered a villain depending on who you spoke to.
I was
They made Cyclops more bad ass than the original animated series.
Sunspot
I'm sure someone has probably commented on it by now, but "To me, my X-Men" is a classic line from the comics. It's the equivalent of "Avengers Assemble"
Yes. Thank you though
Oh we doin X-Men? 😮
Im here for it
Great reactions fellas, thanks for the upload.
3:00 i think that is Wolverine and the x men animated show, Cyclops is great in that show tbh, Cyclops is a badass, but my fav version of him is when he become an extremist/villain on the marvel comics , such a badass imo.
Emma Frost all day.
"To me my, X-MEN" is the calling line for the xmen in the comics. When they say that, they getting ready to jump folks 😅
Facts fam.
"mida discussions" lol, thks guys hahahha
To me my Xmen. Is as good as Avengers Assemble. It’s what professor X would say so Scott saying it is like his way of accepting that he is now the leader of the xmen in professor x absence.
I love that Rock Lee has evolved from Cyclops-hater to Cyclops-appreciator. Good shit. I've always liked his power, but I read some of his solo comics, and he's not to be fucked with for sure.
I used to be a hater until wolverine and the xmen lol. I finally saw comments that helped me remember lol.
The writers put respect on *Cyclops* name!
25:14 Hank: Bih....I was one too!!!
Storm being so strong didnt surprise me. I mean do you remember her dropping a billion dollar skyscraper on juggernaut like she can afford to pay for it? 😂
Cyclops is THE X-man. The epitome of ten toes deep for the cause.
Cyclops was my favorite X-Man growing up.
Roc D. is probably thinking of the cyclops from Wolverine and The X-Men. He was really badass in that one.
Yes fam thats the one
Hahaha just discovered you guys. Loved the Cyclops debate, me and my buddies had the same one so many times! I admit I was a Cyclops hater once, but no more!
Let me give Storn just due in the comments cause Noone else has
🙌🏽
Its not even that he has an OP power; cyclops has been training with the professor since he was a kid. He has learned how to fight and use his powers extensively. Its the reason why for some of us who are original comic readers the cyclops presented in the movies has been so dissappointing. The guy can cook.
Yup
Only time I know where cyclops lead a different team of X-men is in the comics. Which from the way youre describing him sounds like the cyclops you’re talking bout.
Cyclops has always been this cool. The comics, OG series and Xmen evolution all did him right. Only the Singer films dropped the ball.
Different social circles bro. In ours. He wasn’t. I can’t prove hes cool or not. But opinions vary depending on the social circle and demographics
@@YaBoyRockLee Lmao, you just don’t read comics and have little exposure to the character. Don’t make this about race or age. Cyclops as always been him outside the Singer films. That’s just facts.
Nah they did him dirty as fuck in the OG TAS
@@ChrisLamia tell me you didn’t watch it, without telling me. Scott was a confident and dependable leader. He decapitated Sentinels, kept Wolverine in line and cut Mister Sinister in half. Stop yapping nonsense.
I love the cyclops haters man!! Morphius: " hea begining yo believe"
Lmaoooo
Am coming out closet I have been cyclops support since a child 😂😂😂
Cyclops was always a dawg!!
