AmeriLu but it isn’t as long as the tattooer doesn’t claim that the original tattoo is theirs. I don’t understand why you guys ( I’m saying you and others who believe in tattoo copying to be bad ) is a big deal. Who cares if you dad passed down a ring to you that’s been in your family for generations and then you met a women who had a ring that looked exactly like yours she bought at a thrift store for like 50 bucks, does that mean the emotional weight of your ring is some how diminished? No! This is the same argument that people who don’t want same sex marriage legalized use that this “ copy “ will devalue their marriage. It’s bad argument because all meaning comes from within. It might offend you to see someone have a tattoo just like yours, or you can compliment them on their great taste.

I struggle with depression and anxiety, and I had a long course of self harm that ultimately left my arm covered in scars. My first tattoo was on my left arm which was paralysed following a stroke, so I wasn’t exactly insecure about it but it certainly made me feel less inclined to want to cut it off to stop having to carry around a useless dead weight. Thankfully I have regained some use of the arm in the two decades since but the tattoo certainly makes me feel better about the fact that that arm is a bit flabbier than my right because of it getting much less use. Even though I now gave a much larger and cooler tattoo on my right arm the first one is certainly very special to me.

@@kylechesser645 Your comment is pretty confusing, please use punctuation in the future. I _think_ you're asking is it wrong to make Peter Pan tattoos? The answer is no, they're identifiable characters from a mainstream movie. Also, the movie automatically gets credited most of the time because when people look at a Tinkerbell tattoo, they think "That's Tinkerbell from Peter Pan" or when someone explains the tattoo, that's what they say. That's different than copying entirely original artwork that a tattoo artist created, like the hands covering the eyes tattoo.

You don't need to spell out the letters, its the actual words, "As" / "Is".
And the difference in the before and after pics could just be contrast (for the Tinkerbell). The shadows seem darker in the after, so that might be why the lines seem darker.

@@jacobnye6394 There are loads of different jewellery options so you can always try different shapes, sizes, and styles to see what you like. You could also think about multiples. I've got both nostrils pierced at the moment, but I'm planning on adding two more to each side (for a total of six).
If you do decide to get nostril piercings and then retire them, just know that they'll probably leave a small divot in your nose. It usually isn't very large or noticeable, but it's something you should be aware of just in case you think it'd bother you.

This is so beautiful. I wish my family understood that this is how tattoos make me feel. I only started getting tattooed last year and even though I'm a grown adult, moved out and everything, with my own home, the way my family reacted was incredibly hurtful, and whenever I'm reminded of that it still has a pang. I'm not completely over it. But videos like these remind me of how much I love myself. :-)

I rarely ever comment on TH-cam videos, but I got my first tattoo a week ago and kind of freaked out a bit (I do love it, it just took some time to get used to because it’s so big) I have been binge watching you all week, and now not only am I excited and proud of my existing tattoo, but I want more!! Thank you for creating such wonderful content and teaching us so much about tattoos!! You’re truly helping so many people to love themselves and be confident enough to wear beautiful art on our bodies! Xx

I loved watching you talk about this. I had never really put two and two together that my tattoos really have made me feel completely comfortable in my own skin. I was very shy overweight and "furry" (now I know it was my PCOS causing most of it) I've gotten 10 tats over the last 15 years which can all be hidden if I wear a T-shirt and jeans but you best believe I'm jumping for joy when it gets warm enough for me to wear shorts and a tank top so you can see every one of them ( something I avoided like the plague for the majority of my life). Thank you for encouraging people to turn the parts they don't like into a work of art

I have actually been tattooed by this artist, didn't realise who she was when I got tattooed by her. Thankfully she tattooed an artwork of mine that I actually drew myself, so I know I didn't accidentally rip someone off. But omg thank you for making these videos. I try to do a lot of research for my tattoo artists, and I had no idea that she copied as from my research she credits all her tattoos as her own. The actual tattoo was well done, but I wouldn't go back just due to certain issues with her organisation, but definitely not going back now!! Thank you! Please keep exposing people who copy and educating people on tattoo copying!

just want to let you know, when the girl talked about being chinese and that people comment on her round face - they genuinely aren’t trying to be mean. in china, when you’re considered overweight you will have a lot of people tell you to your face. they aren’t being dicks about it, to them it’s the same as noticing what colour hair or eyes you have, essentially. they just view it as another trait. there is the pressure to be thin placed on younger women, no doubt, but it’s just a massive cultural difference between china and other places.
source: my brother moved there 9 years ago and now has a family there and we keep in good contact. he’s taught me a lot about the interesting nuances of mainland china.

I had this ex-bestfriend who naturally had this beautiful vibrant red hair but would tell me how ugly my natural dark blonde hair was. She knew she had something that I didn't so wanted to make herself feel superior by making me feel insecure. When someone insults you, it has nothing to do with you and has all to do with them.

I'm not a picky person with tattoos but you've helped me notice the good ones and the bad ones (technically) and I've been a lot more open to certain techniques I never would have looked at before. I personally only have one tattoo (for now) and I got it on a place that I'm insecure about for the reason that if I did then I would have a reason to love my legs and it's done wonders. I love it and how it makes me feel.

Haha I just found you from NerdeCrafter shouting out your reaction to her tattoo videos. So binging your previous videos, it's a bit weird now to see you with less tattoos. Yeah I really love the concept for this video, My first (and so far only) tattoo was a whole day thigh piece, almost to my knee and up to my hip, and was actually a scar cover-up. A huge insecurity for me, and I actually planned the tattoo for over 2 years, from when I decided I wanted it at 16, to when I got it at 18 (when I was of age obviously). For those two years, I never wore anything shorter than ankle length, even tho my scarring was about, mid thigh. I just felt too insecure. But now... I can wear whatever I want, and 3 years later, I'm still so happy with it. Currently planning (and budgeting for) at /least/ 2 more tattoos; a half sleeve starting at my shoulder, with visuals/references to all the song lyrics that have helped me over the years, and a matching pokemon themed tattoo with my sister. Apparently my 'style' when designing tattoos is 'go big'; save up for years and spend it all on one tattoo haha

Even if they never see this, as a non-binary person myself, it means an awful lot to my comfort and well being to be identified the right way.

Regarding getting tattoos in places you’re insecure about/giving you confidence... I self harmed a lot from the age of 13 and I’m now 22, and while I’ve managed to become better, there are still days where I relapse or that are bad because I also have depression and anxiety. Most of my SH scars were on my arms, and so that’s one of the reasons I’ve started to get tattoos on my arms - first of all, it covers the healed scars and makes me feel better about having my arms on show. Second, because I don’t want to ruin my tattoos and have to have a touch up, it makes me not cut there anymore, and because that was my go-to place to do it, it means it’s helped me do it less (if that makes sense). All my tattoos are related to movies or something that I’m into: Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, How To Train Your Dragon, IT, Peter Pan... all of these things have special meaning to me, either from my childhood or because they’ve helped me through my mental health issues. Having them there, covering my scars, makes me feel so much better about myself and about my lower arms being on display.

I honestly don't understand why it's so hard to, y'know, not do that? I recently got a traditional hand holding a rose (that I ABSOLUTELY love!!!), which I know is a tattoo that has been done a thousand times over! But, I know mine isn't the same as someone else's.
