I just wanna do a PSA cause I didn’t address this in the video. I don’t think Victoria is 100% to blame In this situation, her tattoo “artist” really should have advised her on how copying other people’s art work isn’t great and he should have changed stuff up way more than what he did or made something unique for her. He seems very lazy and has zero respect for his trade . *EDIT:* I'd appreciate if you guys didn't go to her videos and attack her. We have a comment section here to discuss whats going on and anything thats super personal / not constructive I don't condone. Another point to add on here is that tattoos are permanent and whats done is done. I hope the outcome of this video is to raise awareness to copying art (which someone made a good comment of copying stuff in school / college gets you in trouble for plagiarism and its the same for ''traditional art'' and the rules should apply for tattoos too! ) which is not a good idea. Also to those that say ''well if tattoo artists don't want their tattoos / art / flash stolen then they shouldn't put it online'' Well ok then say you put your phone down at a party (a phone is totally not comparable to an art piece but its one thing a lot of people care about) and someone stole it and then I blamed YOU not the person that stole it ... that makes me an arsehole right. Just because something is out in the open doesn't mean you can take it. If thats the case then are yall out here shop lifting / stealing things cause its out there in the open ? and store owners should lock there stuff down just incase ?? you see what im saying ... you can't point fingers at the artists / clients whom post their tattoos people should just have respect for peoples art work.
legit i was horrified as well, then had to imagine she showed her artist a picture and they just felt fine doing the same exact picture...and was more horrified
I did some heavy re-con (haha) and I wanted to find out what shop she goes to and this is what I found from her replies to people -- Rosemount Tattoo Aberdeen
When I was 18 I printed a picture off the internet and bobbled my happy ass into a local tattoo studio. I thank god every day I walked into the studio that I did. The artist was very kind and patient explaining to me that he wasn’t comfortable copying artwork and why. It definitely shaped my opinions on it early. And saved me from a LOT of mistakes made in youth.
HONESTLY. And they copy everything I do. But when they happen to have the same piece of clothing of me, or someone else does, it’s a big deal. It’s like call me when you get a personality and individuality
Was semi-serious about art in high school (graduated in 2002, yes, I'm ancient, lol) until my teacher outright took some of my art and entered it in a competition under his name. It's only been recently that I've had any inspiration to pick up any sort of art supplies =/
Her tattoo translates to: Look my face... 看在 kan zai: look 我 wo: me/I 面上 mian shang: face It’s not even grammatically correct. It’s missing a character in the middle. The sentence should read: 看在我的面上 kan zai wo de mian shang. The de 的 is a possession marker and a major part of the language.

There are SO many people like that though, and I just can't understand this mindset that any image online is a free flash. It makes me want to rip my hair out, it's both hard to create something original and to get good at art in the first place. So no it's not for just anyone to grab.
Insta is life honestly. So many good artists. And most post their flash and paintings. Their portfolio is at your fingertips whenever you want. And it recommends similar artists to what you’re looking at.
And then some people will be like “I don’t want to share MY tattoo with someone else” ITS NOT YOUR TATTOO. If annoys me so much when people copy tattoos.
Because anyone can get what the hell they want, it’s a free fucking world. What’s the big deal? They don’t know who else out there in this big world of ours has that exact same tattoo and will probably never cross paths with them, get fucking over it. Is it going to disturb your life?

Totally agree with you. It's like when you never learnt anything from copying someones homework... They are not expanding on the key skills needed, not advancing in their own trade. Just being like a machine.
The first “big” tattoo I got I paid an artist to design for me specifically and worked the artist for a few weeks in order to make it perfect. Literally right after posting my finished tattoo on my Snapchat story, the tattoo my artist spent weeks working on and designing for me, someone had the audacity to screenshot it and said “wow I’m going to copy this it’s beautiful! 😍” like um excuse me... My sister-in-law's husband went out and had my husband's exact tattoo done on himself in the exact same place because he liked it. Without asking him if it was OK, or even telling us he had it done. We just showed up one day and it was there. Whoa, that was weird. They never spoke again.
As an artist that sells work I'd go ape if someone was jacking my work. And actually it's a pretty huge insult in the tattoo community to get someone else's tattoo on yourself without permission. I suppose it's hard to understand how that feels until it's happened to you.

I got a tattoo to memorialize my dad, it was extremely personal, and everything in it had been chosen for its meaning to me. I paid an artist to draw a butterfly for me for my first tattoo a few weeks after I turned 18 back in 2000. I loved it soo much and had it done right then and there. Fast forward 4 years later and I meet a girl and we become close friends. I find that she has the EXACT SAME TATTOO IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE ON HER BODY!! Turns out the tattoo "artist" has used the same design for years!!! I was floored. We laugh about it now but at the time we both thought we were paying for an original piece. 🤷🏼♀️
Thats the thing: Everything has been done before, there is nothing original. And the tatoo artists arent saints themselves. Even if you work with them to give you something original, theyll draw you the same thing they draw for everyone 😂😂
I would hate if that happened to me, my usual tattoo artist only does one tattoo for each of her designs which I think is really commendable and she takes on designs that people have come up with themselves, like my first one. The only time I'd even get a tattoo in the same design as one someone else has is if it's from a series or something that has a lot of meaning to me, like the healing rune from the shadowhunters stuff
@@Artbug its more the fact they play it off as being an original artwork then just being a carbon copy. also thats a really shitty view you have of tattooists chum

Exactly what I was thinking I feel like that’s the worst part of the tattoo community is the white people getting other cultures stuff tattooed and then being totally ignorant to the meanings

Somebody tried to copy my most recent tattoo and I was shocked. My tattoo is completely original and means so much to me, I actually broke down in tears once my artist finished it. Luckily for me, I got in contact with the artist about my design, before they tattooed the person (they posted a drawing of MY design). They were so nice to me and have since banned the person from the tattoo shop. But the fact people actually do this is so horrible. So far my 4 tattoos have been done by 3 different artists. First one was done at a totally different place but the other 3 were done at the same shop, but by artists that were better at that specific style. When I asked for a realistic flower piece, I was told "That sounds like a job for (insert name)", that's what I love, though the person I talked to was also an artist they wanted to direct me to the artist that would best fit what I wanted.
Ah I love that too!! So awesome when artists are like “you know what this person will NAIL it for you” or even the receptionist it’s like ...wow thank you!!
there's nothing like working with an artist who is not only really talented in the style or subject matter that you want, but who is also so genuinely hype to create something you
It’s crazy that so many people follow the ‘tea channels’ that updates on the scandals of makeup brands copying each other but when it’s brought up about tattoo stealing it’s silence. Thank you for speaking up about this!!
Actually I even feel a bit sorry for her. Her tattoos are god-awful. And she got those literally in bulk, getting "blasted" with unoriginal, low quality tattoos. The "artist" who did this to her should not even be in business. Would be better for all parties involved. The artists and owners of the original artwort AND the potential clients of that rotten apple. I'd rather have no tattoos (and I'm planning to add sleeves to my humble collection ) than having to walk around with bad ink like that. Yikes...
But that's also her fault. I mean, it's not like the tattoo artist forced her to get tattoos from him. People should take the time to educate themselves instead of just going to the cheapest (but also less professional) tattoo artists. Or maybe she doesn't even care to educate herself and she just wants to look cool because she's covered in tattoos.
i asked my tattoo artist if he'd do the same design someone that he's done on me (he was tattooing 2 of his designs on me at the time) and to quote him, "i think once you've paid for the tattoo, it's yours, i wouldnt do it again i'd maybe offer a similar design but this one isn't available anymore, it's your image now" i think other artists should say the same when given someone elses tattoo to do, and say 'hey someone paid for that design thats now theirs, i can try and do a similar thing for you but not the same', helps keep a good sense of individuality with the designs plus it gives the artist a chance to actually design something pretty cool too!
She kind of reminds me of girls in school who thought it was cool to play ditzy and ignorant it frustrates me so much. I do hope she phases this "tattoos are just for shits and giggles" thing out ://
Eh, not all tattoos have to have meaning. This chick is a nightmare, but tattoos don't have to mean anything. I had a coworker that had a tattoo of a horse wearing a robe, drinking a beer. It meant nothing. I want a tattoo of a jar, meaningless.
@Areyanna Leek I have a tattoo of a jellyfish in space, because I liked the design. But we're referring to getting a tattoo in a different language, that she said she used to know the meaning of but had forgotten. A bit different
Besides stealing designs, I think the Johnny gloom piece on her neck looks so weird, such strange placement as it morphs so much when she talks and none of her tattoos in general look good together
I use pinterest for ideas about tattoos, but i draw my tattoo designs myself and ask the artist to interpret them. I want my tattoos to be completely unique to me.
Same. I look at other designs to get an idea of what appeals to me aesthetically, and to get inspiration of specific elements, but I like to design my own and find an artist who's style I feel compliments the look I want my pieces to have.
yes!! I always re-draw tattoo designs or add to the original work before ever thinking about placing it on my body. plus artist interpretation will always make a piece unique and it’s fun on their end to get creative on their own terms!
Any true tattoo artist will take your reference even your reference from printerest and draw a new version of it to make it there own art and to respect the person who originally did the piece. Respect people’s art 👌
the artist i’m getting a consultation from, and likely getting my first tattoo from, is very serious about using reference photos as inspiration, but never copying them (like using similar elements, but changing how everything is placed and ultimately making it a similar concept but much different execution) so already i trust this dude a lot.

Sharlee Coulton that’s exactly what i did for my tattoo, like i knew i wanted a sun and moon tattoo but i wanted it a special way and specific details, I wasn’t copying it but was using it for inspiration
My least favorite thing is when someone screenshots pics from pinterest and posts them on fb and then says "which one should I get?!" Like ??? None of them?? Create your own, talk to an artist

It inspires me to do a look, they end up not looking alike whatsoever but the basic etiquette in the makeup community for me to give her credit for inspiring me
i have a curt montgomery tattoo and someone asked me if they could get it on them and i said no and also told them it wouldn't turn out as good even if they did. that person got it anyways and i was right the line work was nowhere as good. curt really takes his time in every tattoo and it really shows in the finished outcome her tattoo took 30mins where mine too 2 hours because he really makes sure his lines are perfect and it shows. i was insanely pissed that they got it anyway
No reason to get pissed really, her tattoo is shitty, yours isnt, it's all cool.. There are more than 7 billions of people on this planet, it's normal that people like same stuff
Usually a tattooist should refuse to do plagiarism, normally he should ask to change or make the tattoo different or more original by adding his style as well.
I see a lot of people saying whats the big deal with her having copied tattoos. To a certain extent i agree because its her body as well as if the idea is simple. But if you really worked with your artist to get an original idea drawn up then yeah i would be salty if someone else tap for tap had it copied on to them. I just got my second tattoo done over the weekend and i'm super proud of it and my artist for making me something inspired but unique.
Lol I just commented something similar.... My tattoo artist Ali is an ARTIST, it’s her passion, she pours her heart and soul into it, that’s one of the reasons I love going to her. Every single piece is unique to me and they all stem from a story I’ve told her. She’s busy with my sleeve design, basing it on childhood stories I’ve told her and it’s 2 months of drawing, tweaking, adding and changing. Then someone just takes it? NO
Same! I just got my first non-flash piece (my second tattoo) and I’d be so sad if someone just got the same thing because they saw it one day and liked it. It’s fine to take inspiration from tattoos, but make it your own!

As an architect, if someone copied my entire floor plans and house designs for their own benefit, I'd be pissed too. If you like the art so much, either go to the tattoo artist that it came from or describe the art concept to a different artist who can put in their own elements. That way you're paying the proper people for fair work.
What you dont seem to understand is that if she doesnt even care what the tatoos mean to her and forgets what they say, then shes not going to care to have someone create a special tattoo just for her. She sees something she likes, she wants it on her body. Its not a crime. You can stop pissing your pants over it.

I’ve gotten two tattoos directly copied from two artists who had pieces that I love. But! The first one, I asked for permission and then sent them money on PayPal (even though they didn’t ask for it). The second had an Etsy “ticket” that you’d buy for permission to tattoo their work so you wouldn’t have to message them to ask for permission. I’m an artist myself, and I find it so insulting and rude not asking for permission to use someone’s work…and I immediately lose respect for a tattoo artist who is willing to directly copy another’s work. Like, if I see that they’re okay copying work…? I won’t use them out of principal.
When it comes to art in general, people really don’t take plagiarism seriously. There’s a very solid line between “taking inspiration” and copying an image line for line. And when artists call people out for it they’re not taken seriously, people will say “there’s no art that’s original anymore” (as many people have been saying in this comment section) but you’re really wrong about that. It can be the same subject matter, but at least have the decency to get it in the artist’s own style and not the exact same image.
Great example. I found a gorgeous tattoo on instagram. I sent it to my tattoo artist, told her to take inspiration from it and create a new one for me + to add some specific details that i wanted. I think this is something everyone should do when seeing cool art work online that u want on your body. Get inspired it, make it your own. Don't just copy it
People take plagiarism seriously, its just that when it comes to peoples bodies, its no longer plagiarism because they're not profiting or claiming the art as they're own. I think people have a right to be annoyed but they're not wrong for wanting these things on their body.
This is so painful to watch. I do think that having a tattoo or two that’s “basic” is fine, a simple image like a pinky promise is hard to personalize, but when your whole body is straight from Pinterest I just can’t deal with it.
PastellHell Beauty yes! I actually went completely out of my way to ask an artist if it was okay to get one of their pieces on my body and they offered it for free because it blew them away, their work gets stolen constantly.
This happened to me with my first tattoo, I went into my tattoo artist and told him I would love a black and white Winnie the Pooh piece with my moms handwriting, it was my first tattoo and I really loved the stencil and everything was going well. I kinda zoned out when he was inking me as I’m an anxious bean and had to go into my head to cope. When he told me he was finished I looked down and there was color all over it. I said immediately “I asked for no color “ and he looked and me and said “ I’m an artist I knew it would look better” let’s just say I haven’t gone back to that studio xx
This happened to me for my first! I said NO COLOR. I did as you did, stayed in my head and looked away. When I looked back it looked like cotton candy barf. I was pissed! I almost caught an assault charge. The girl completely disregarded what I wanted. I’m finishing my sleeve in a few weeks, already have half of it done, and I never take my eyes off that gun and I make certain I clarify before I get to the show, right when I get to the shop, what I want. I have stopped my artists during and reminded him, hey, no color there please. Artists need to listen, we aren’t their fucking actual canvas. We are hiring them to do what we want.

Why do you think she’s lying about the artist changing up the hand tattoo design a bit? If she was so blatant and honest that she found all the others on pinterest or google and they are a straight up copies, why would she lie about the hand tattoo, she clearly doesnt mind people knowing she has copied tattoos, so i doubt she’d lie just about that one specific tattoo. So i believe her on that one, that it was changed up a bit, even if just by a few little patterns

Better off to think of something more personal is my personal opinion.
Mati pretty much covered it but yeah, different styles is one way. Trad, blackwork, neo etc. etc. would all look good. Or you could add elements to make it more personal. Rings, nails, bracelets, tattoos on the hands. You could put the cuff of a sleeve around the wrist or some bitchin’ fingerless gloves. Play with the line weight. Tons of stuff you could change to make it yours.
Mati mizfit I only really have and want line-work tattoos, I have one tattoo with shading. I like it, but I’ve always been into line-work. It's so shocking how many people don't get the problem of stealing tattoo designs on here. It is already hard enough to make a living as an artist and things like that is literally taking away the income of people. Support artists and original ideas!
I always feel kinda "guilty" when I go to my tattoo artist with several pictures I found online to show them as an inspiration for what I exactly want (I'd never get something copied, just like..."I like this detail on that one, but maybe in the style of that one, mixed with *original idea blablabla*" so they create something for me out of all of those different things mixed with my & their own ideas), but this girl is like.....wtf
Don't feel guilty! It's totally okay and helps the artist a lot! I LOVE when my commissioners bring moodboards or something like that because it inspires me and makes me more excited to do the work aaaand we will be less likely to totally miss the point lol
reference photos are fine and artists love that! But when you take exactly the same tattoos and apply it to the skin that’s when it’s shitty. Unless it’s like a super generic tattoo like a line work anchor (even then something different an artist can add) then you shouldn’t ask the artist to copy one exact photo into your tattoo. Taking elements of tattoos you like are completely fine and helps the artists figure out what you want!
About 2 weeks ago I had a consultation with an artist to get my first tattoo and I showed her some inspiration photos and what things I would like incorporate and she helped me design something totally amazing and unique. I'm getting my tattoo 5 days from now! Wish me luck!!

Similarly, I work in the creative industries and i don’t know of a single person who’s expected to be able to be 100% original in anything. This includes being able to retain artistic styles as your own. It’s the nature of working in the arts, whether that’s tattoo artistry, animation, fashion design or music. Doesn’t mean you can’t own it and create a niche market for it.
Daisy K I agree with you, if someone copied my tattoo i wouldn’t really care, however to some people it means a lot and they’re allowed to feel that way. As far as originality goes, everything has pretty much been done so I get what you’re saying, but there is no excuse to trace something exactly and claim it as your own
Definitely agree! When I was talking to an artist about getting a simple constellation tattoo, I had the idea of dotted dashes rather than lines to connect the stars. My artist googled this, and said "I can't do this idea because it's already been done and I won't copy another artists work.". It's a bit hard to want minimalistic tattoos when it seems everythings already been done ..
Daisy K idk I think there’s a difference between a generic tattoo like an arrow, constellations, the pinky promise now, like things that don’t have a single artist to accredit it to, compared to a custom piece made for someone. I think if you like a style of an artist you should go to them if you can or go to an artist with a similar style, as opposed to taking a picture off google and asking for a straight copy. If an artist takes a ton of time to design something and another artist just gets given the design and is making money off of it, it’s a bit disrespectful to the first artist since that’s hours they’ve put into something that’s just being copied by another artist.
Right? Just because it's the same image, it could mean a completely different thing to different people. Like if I saw an amazing tattoo of an elephant with a sunflower behind it, someone could have the same exact tattoo and I would say it symbolizes my mother and I because they are our favorite things.
@@corinnegeorge2675 omg do you ever do your own artwork or creative things? I totally understand people who think the videos too much whatever but I can't understand people who think it's okay to copy other people's work. You get a elephant with a sunflower behind it, yeah someone else might have the same thing. But unless you copy another person's work line for line you are hardly going to have the same tattoo.
At all of you ladies or gents who think it's okay to copy a tattoo: there's a lot of time, work and money that goes into getting an original tattoo design. It's incredibly rude and disrespectful to both the artist and the person who got the design originally to take all that without asking and just pasting it onto your body. Why would you want that if you can use a tattoo as inspiration and get something that truly fits your style, body and placement? Making a design is part of why they're tattoo *artists*. I for one would be devestated if someone copied my customized Slytherin crest or Lovers tarot card. Because they have been made especially for me, to fit my body with symbols that fit me in particular. And I paid for that and had long conversations to get it exactly right. Imagine how Victoria made the people who those people feel whose tattoos she copied.
Claire Soliz I agree completely, but some of her tattoos also suck and they look like they’re drawn with sharpie so she really should’ve thought about those. But I mean, it’s her body and not mine so it doesn’t really effect me lol
Idk, but getting a permanent decision done on impulse with 0 research and a bad artist sounds pretty irresponsible to me. I mean she didn’t even know what the chinese one was supposed to mean and aside from that it means "look at I noodle"... like come on, that’s stupid, naive and irresponsible.
It's because she literally lined past her lips to try to make them appear bigger. Instead, it makes her lips look fake/ballooned up/just not right. Alas.
@@denaulia.216 That is certainly not evidence of an "issue". It's called a pet peeve, and it's very normal to have them. It's a spontaneous irking feeling, nothing more. No need to give it any real weight.
@@jht3fougifh393 lol dude sorry if you didn't pick up, but I used the term issue lightly. If I were to add real weight to it I would have said go find a pet peeve that can actually be positive like littering rather than picking at other people's makeup... That said I understand people can't always help their pet peeves. I just think it's mean to tear down others
When I got my only piece of script done, the artist made me write in down on a large piece of paper and asked me to check it three or four times before he began designing and tattooing.
I had this “best friend” once upon a time and I’ll never forget when one day she was like “so I really love your one tattoo on your knuckles and I’m going to get the same tattoo so we can match! It will be so cute!” I was like, woahhhhh woah woah! You don’t get a tattoo because it’s “cute”. There’s nothing wrong with tattoos being cute or liking something and wanting to get it because it’s cute but you cannot just take someone’s tattoo that is full of meaning and a back story and get it on yourself because you think it’s “cute”. It’s insane! I tried my best not to freak out on her while explaining that she would in fact not be getting the same tattoo because it had zero meaning to her and she didn’t understand what it even meant, it was just cute to her. Who does that?! Gahhhhh!! Long story short, she still wanted it so I had to reallyyyyy drill it into her mind that it was a horrible idea because she’d end up exactly like this bimbo Victoria one day looking back at the tattoo like “I forget what it means.” My tattoo is in Dutch, my second language and it means something really close to home for me. The girl didn’t even speak Dutch or know what it meant until I told her. Lmao it’s just crazy that people really do these things. “I got it because I liked how it looked!” 😩😩😩
Leftover Melodies I can imagine if she didn’t want her friend to get the same thing. Not really sure she’d want thousands of strangers to know either. But she may surprise us 😆
Uhhhh 😵 yeah you can get a tattoo just because you like it and think it's cute... Like for real! That's the whole meaning of getting a tattoo all tats don't have to mean something to you. I mean I would have tooken as a compliment that she liked it so much she wanted it... No need to get all catty about it in sure whatever it is your not the only peraon in the world with that tattoo... Especially a knuckle tattoo or finger so many people have the same tatoos in that area! No matter if she knew what it ment or not, she still wanted it ....and you tried to get her not to get 😵 wow ... Some bestie you where.
This whole copying thing is so sad. I just had my first tattoo done and it’s really personal to me. It’s a picture of the mountain behind my childhood house where I don’t even live close to anymore. My dad and I drew it together and I climbed up the mountain with some friends to „earn“ the tattoo (it took us 8 hours). And I‘m in love with it and would love to post it on instagram, but it would hurt me a lot if someone copied it, so I didn’t.
You could post the tattoo on your body but not a close-up, Instagram quality isn't nice and it would be awful to trace if it was kinda distorted they would have to redraw the whole thing from eye
I mostly do that. I dont have tattoos yet, but I searched on pinterest for something that looks similar to what I want. I only would show it to the tattoo artist as reference though. So that he knows in what direction I wanna go and he can make a design similar or inspired but not the same. I dont get why some people copy tattoos. I would want my tattoo to be something special or personal to me and not just something that looks cool and is copied.
@@Yumichan62 That was the same thing with my frist tattoo. I showed the artist a pic of a beautiful tattoo and said I wanted the same style, so he looked at the picture, took it with him and created something that was similar to this but totally different. I had my own unique tattoo and that is the important thing.
@@megwandir I am glad that you got the tattoo you wanted :) I still have to look for a tattoo artist and then decide on what design I want. I would be horrified if I got a tattoo artist like the girl in this video.
The comment section astounds me. I personally use art as an outlet and a few years ago my drawing was taken and tattooed on someone. That drawing meant a lot to me and I put it on my private Instagram. I was proud of it but at its core it was a piece I made during a grieving process. to me it meant I could still make something good in a bad situation and if I wanted it to be a tattoo, I would have had it on me but I didn't want the initial pain it stemmed from branded on me forever. I message the person politely but never got a response so unfortunately I will never know if it was the artist or the customer but at least one of them should have known better. Now in my eyes someone has my pain on their skin and doesn't give a fuck.
@@clovesbian honestly if that person has messaged me and asked I would have said no but I would offer to create something similar if they like my work or take it as inspiration and create something else with the artist
@@kaleighbree because if it was just a true admiration of my art then logic says you would ask permission. I have had someone message me before about a different picture and asked if I wouldn't mind of they had it tattooed. That's flattery and admiration. Fact is I have never even been so much as credited . Maybe I would have said yes if they messaged me and explained that it did evoke a feeling. Perhaps I wouldn't recommend it as a tattoo and instead a print given the more gorey nature of the tattoo (It was a human heart being ripped apart) as if that did evoke a feeling it wouldn't particularly be a nice one. Perhaps you just don't get where I'm coming from with this and I suppose that's fine because you aren't in my shoes and can't feel the way I do about it but how it feels is that you put efforts and emotion into a piece. It's an expression of something I felt so strongly and then someone claims it as their own literally right down to the accidental coffee stain on the paper
I'm curious about what do you have to say about this case, friend.

The artists and owners of the original artwort AND the potential clients of that rotten apple. I'd rather have no tattoos (and I'm planning to add sleeves to my humble collection ) than having to walk around with bad ink like that. Yikes...
Putting aside the copying issue - I really like the tattoo's and style
@@bronniem5884 that's cause they were designed by good artist, the execution of them as far as tattoos go is really low quality
Just sayin: the “icon” tattoo... like did he have a stroke cause i don’t understand those wavy, bandy ass lines
Geraldine M. Same like her tattoos look bad to me. Like the design could be cute but they're executed poorly
i asked my tattoo artist if he'd do the same design someone that he's done on me (he was tattooing 2 of his designs on me at the time) and to quote him, "i think once you've paid for the tattoo, it's yours, i wouldnt do it again i'd maybe offer a similar design but this one isn't available anymore, it's your image now" i think other artists should say the same when given someone elses tattoo to do, and say 'hey someone paid for that design thats now theirs, i can try and do a similar thing for you but not the same', helps keep a good sense of individuality with the designs plus it gives the artist a chance to actually design something pretty cool too!
Imagine having a tattoo that you forgot the meaning of???YIKES
She kind of reminds me of girls in school who thought it was cool to play ditzy and ignorant it frustrates me so much. I do hope she phases this "tattoos are just for shits and giggles" thing out ://
Eh, not all tattoos have to have meaning. This chick is a nightmare, but tattoos don't have to mean anything. I had a coworker that had a tattoo of a horse wearing a robe, drinking a beer. It meant nothing. I want a tattoo of a jar, meaningless.
Ignore my reply. Lol. I was scrolling and didn't see that it was in another language. Yikes is right.
Areyanna Leek that’s awesome, I was specifically talking about the Chinese tattoo she has but doesn’t know the meaning of
@Areyanna Leek I have a tattoo of a jellyfish in space, because I liked the design.
But we're referring to getting a tattoo in a different language, that she said she used to know the meaning of but had forgotten.

Same

Paulina E I couldn’t put my finger on it but yeah definitely Tana
But scottish!
Yeah she does look like the two.
Any true tattoo artist will take your reference even your reference from printerest and draw a new version of it to make it there own art and to respect the person who originally did the piece.
Respect people’s art 👌
the artist i’m getting a consultation from, and likely getting my first tattoo from, is very serious about using reference photos as inspiration, but never copying them (like using similar elements, but changing how everything is placed and ultimately making it a similar concept but much different execution) so already i trust this dude a lot.
kylie K thats what my artist does! i took a piece from pintrest and we changed it all up to fit me. well all 3 of mine. i always give reference not “i want exactly this “
I always try to give my artist at least 3 photos as reference and long explanations
that was impossible with my tats as they are chemical structures...
Imagine having your entire body covered in *copied* tattoos. Nothing on you is original...
Say their are all kinds of people walking around like that ... Especially young girls
I personally use Pinterest for tattoos, but never to copy, I use it for inspiration and to create my own ideas from other pieces.
I don’t get why people don’t understand this, like it’s not hard lol.

Respectable use of pinterest!
I can understand that... using it to look up things you know you like and love ... using it for help on what to go wit

It's really weird to me because in the makeup industry, we are so big into giving credit (I do makeup on Instagram as well). For example, let's say I see a look she created. It inspires me to do a look, they end up not looking alike whatsoever but the basic etiquette in the makeup community for me to give her credit for inspiring me
the chinese tattoo says “看在我面上” which is like a weird way of saying look at me, if anyone was wondering
to be honest, it’s not grammatically correct, because it supposed to be 看在我的面子上,kinda means “for my sake”

i have a curt montgomery tattoo and someone asked me if they could get it on them and i said no and also told them it wouldn't turn out as good even if they did. that person got it anyways and i was right the line work was nowhere as good. curt really takes his time in every tattoo and it really shows in the finished outcome her tattoo took 30mins where mine too 2 hours because he really makes sure his lines are perfect and it shows. i was insanely pissed that they got it anyway
No reason to get pissed really, her tattoo is shitty, yours isnt, it's all cool.. There are more than 7 billions of people on this planet, it's normal that people like same stuff
Why? It’s not your body.
This hair and shirt colour combination is god damn wonderful!!

NO
They’re the same people who get mad when an artist tells them no or how much their work is.
I understand now. Thanks.
Same! I just got my first non-flash piece (my second tattoo) and I’d be so sad if someone just got the same thing because they saw it one day and liked it. It’s fine to take inspiration from tattoos, but make it your own!

As an artist (not a tattoo artist, but regardless) I get really uncomfortable when people take my work without credit. I’ve seen my art stolen, uploaded without credit and it’s so annoying. The irony is that if they asked if they could repost, I would say yes, as long as they credit back to me. I’d like to design tattoos one day, and I wouldn’t mind someone using my designs...... as long as they ask first lmao
I have a lot of artist friends and their artwork gets stolen and reposted without permission or credit all the time and it infuriates me, so I can only imagine how they feel... to have something you worked on for hours just stolen and reposted for whatever reason. The worst are the people who pretend like they drew/painted/etc the artwork and the ones who say "Source: unknown found on Google." Like come on... reverse image search exists!!

The girl completely disregarded what I wanted.

sophiedoesrandomstuff there isn’t really a way, but you can have an artist just draw it from scratch at least lol
@@olivia4394well as an artist I can think of some but also just to use different styles, it doesn't have to be just linework say oldschool for example. But when something gets hipp and everybody is doing it, do u really want to carry that as a tattoo. Those are the tattoos that usually looks bad after some years when it gets out of fashion.
Jil they’re the same people who get angry when an artist tells them their pricing or the dreaded word NO.
Nothing wrong with liking and getting something you see
About 2 weeks ago I had a consultation with an artist to get my first tattoo and I showed her some inspiration photos and what things I would like incorporate and she helped me design something totally amazing and unique. I'm getting my tattoo 5 days from now! Wish me luck!!

Am I the only person who really doesn’t give a fuck about whether or not someone copies my tattoos?
Agree the only tattoos that won’t get copied are portraits 🤷🏾♀️ everything else had been done. I have yet to see a original tattoo.
Taking the words right out of my mouth 🙌🏻
Daisy K idk I think there’s a difference between a generic tattoo like an arrow, constellations, the pinky promise now, like things that don’t have a single artist to accredit it to, compared to a custom piece made for someone. I think if you like a style of an artist you should go to them if you can or go to an artist with a similar style, as opposed to taking a picture off google and asking for a straight copy. If an artist takes a ton of time to design something and another artist just gets given the design and is making money off of it, it’s a bit disrespectful to the first artist since that’s hours they’ve put into something that’s just being copied by another artist.
Wow. All this hate....I totally understand everyone's issue, but man. This is going to really hurt this girl. This is her skin.
orphansparrow Ikr! Not everyone wants a custom tattoo.
The woman who makes these videos is a bully and should really focus her time elsewhere

Can I know what the Dutch was? I'm interested ^^
Rambo Bambi loool ok miss push over I know nothing
Gross. I’m glad she didn’t BUT you can get meaningless tattoos, as long as they’re NOT copied
My first tattoo got copied
@@fridayforever100 I‘m sorry :/ I hate that people don’t understand the intimacy of a tattoo.
I would only get some inspiration from pinterest for new tattoos but NEVER copy them.
I would be horrified if I got a tattoo artist like the girl in this video.
suck up
I loved the tattoo of the thumb in the mouth because apart from being a mess it has 4 fingers: 20:51
O fluff! It is true 😂
So?
Also what’s terrible is you didn’t get paid for your work but someone else did
@@clovesbian they couldn't have got paid either way
@@clovesbian honestly if that person has messaged me and asked I would have said no but I would offer to create something similar if they like my work or take it as inspiration and create something else with the artist
