    Do you use sea moss?

    • @chefdeena
      @chefdeena 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Absolutely! I frezze mine because I have experienced very high energy from it so I make sure I'm heavily stocked😁
      I had anemia and now I don't... I used to chew ice all the time now I don't. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
      I put it in my soups, smoothies, sauces and my homemade salad dressings etc😃😋
      You can freeze them in ice cube trays or store 1/2 cup in sandwich bags and lay them flat in the freezer and then break it up into gel brittle🤓🧊🧊🧊

      Yes but only the wildcrafted chondrus crispus variety. Some packaged seamoss powder & gels may be just a pool farmed gracilaria version of seamoss which is the one that is usually sold to people. Chondrus crispus however is the one with the most vitamins ,minerals , & the most benefits. And I also buy the whole raw seamoss, never gel’d or powdered, it is easy to turn it into a gel yourself & saves more money than the gel version.

      Every single day. I take a TBSP of it to the head every day!!!!... However, my skin isnt cleared up. But I do feel it helps with my energy.

    The other 10 needed minerals come from Burdock Root (5) and Bladderwrack (5). If you add these two to your sea moss gel you’ll have the total 102 minerals needed daily.

    Thanks for this info Dairy Free… I am from Guyana 🇬🇾 and I usually sell flavored seamoss gel, one of my best/ potent blend is the Gullyroot/anamu, burdock & bladderwrack infused seamoss gel, these 3 along with the seamoss eliminates mucus from the body.
    Mucus is inflammation which is the cause for 90% of the diseases today..
    burdock is a plant root
    Bladderwrack is a seaweed..
    I also have other flavors i.e. beetroot, carrots, elderberry,spirulina, citrus,kalawalla, mango, etc.

    I was a little surprised at the shipping cost for the dried sea moss. I have a good vendor but always want to chose black owned when purchasing. Great explanation about texture. I make my own and use spring water and let is soak for 48 hours after rinsing. Def use limes to kill “ocean” smell to eliminate flavor. Best to use in raw form as Andrew stated to keep all 92 nutrients in tact.

    As a Caribbean personality it’s very important to make your seamoss yourself , buying it is not real they add preservatives to it . Just buy it wash it soak it blend it put it in a mason jar and straight into your fridge don’t let it go over 10 days . Am Jamaican this out secret food .

    The first time I heard of Irish Sea Moss was almost 20 years ago at the Cafe Gratitude. That was a Raw Vegan cafe that used the moss for desserts to give it more stabilization for their raw "cheesecakes" or pudding-type recipes. It would be great if you two would create an ACV gummy recipe from sea moss, that you would share! Just sayin' ;)

    If it's supposed to be refrigerated for the gel sea moss, Why does it not ship cooled? Ice pak etc. Poor packaging in my opinion.

    The smell reminds me of hydrogen peroxide. Eeew. Even though I do 2 tablespoons of sea moss in smoothies twice a week. I once did this everyday and I received the worst headache. Thanks for the 411 guys! 👍🏾👋🏾❤🥰

      Seamoss will help rid the body of toxins. The headaches you were experiencing might have been due to your body trying push out the toxins.

      I agree that it is the toxins trying to leave your body... I had the same effects when I first started using it and I got really dizzy too... I put it down for a minute because it scared me but I'm so glad I picked it back up because I can't stop using it now😃 I have so much energy... maybe just take it in small doses for now but don't stop🙏🏾
      I just got my labs back and I'm in perfect health now😁... before the Seamoss, they were trying to give me a blood transfusion😫

    Aren’t sea moss gel suppose to get hard after refrigerating it? Because the one I do have right now is like that. Not like yours in your video… so is sea moss gel suppose to be hard or apple sauce texture? I’m new to this!!

    • @MakeItDairyFree
      @MakeItDairyFree  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      different brands have different consistencies, usually depending on water/sea moss ratios

    Just ordered this and it smells like straight chlorine and plastic. First time trying sea moss gel but everything I read says that smell means it is pool grown. I feel scammed. Did you guys smell and taste this?

    I saw in another video where a young lady would consume two teaspoons of sea moss gel without adding it to anything. What would you suggest?

    • @MakeItDairyFree
      @MakeItDairyFree  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can absolutely do that, but we'd gag doing that so that's why we mix it in LOL. But nothing is wrong with consuming it that way (it's not like apple cider vinegar where taking a shot would hurt you)
