Got mine 3 weeks after the release & just Love it! Added it my speedy collection & is now my favorite watch! A few days after picking it up at the Boutique @ Zurich Switzerland, I went to Watches & Wonders Geneva & at least 50+ people came up to me & asked it that’s the new Speedy (even people working at different watch makers there) & they took pictures, tried it on & where just so complimentary I couldn’t believe it! Was there with a large crew of watch collectors & they couldn’t believe that nobody cared about most of their $100k watches, but the Speedy ruled the show, even though Omega wasn’t there 😂
Thankfully I’ve never had this problem with my black dial, however my 3 hour sub dial has not been vertically aligned as of recently. This is after two years of ownership, on the other hand. My first Rolex was gifted to me in 2012 and didn’t require a service until 2020.
There's nothing wrong with the watch. You can set the chronometer hand to any position on the watch. I forget the directions but unscrew the crown and pull it out one or two notches and push one of the chrono button. The hand should move
I'm not sure about the deposit situation and that you need to purchase it today. That doesn't sound right. I remember when I was looking for a green 300M when it was still hard to get a piece. One manager in one boutique asked for a deposit, but when I went to another one, it was a totally different story. No deposit. They called me, and I came a few days later to purchase it. Later, I purchased from the same boutique 300m 007 60th Anniversary and Snoopy with no deposits or requirement to pay now. And now I'm waiting for my 321 with no deposit that I should get in a few months
@@HawaiianHorology I thought it looked different. We should have gone there! Haha. I'll try again though.... Was it Yuki at Ben Bridge Timeworks that sold you the watch?
I like the black dial better also but I did pick up the white dial just because the only other white dial I like is a Rolex panda but thats over my budget.
I’ve just had to refuse my silver snoopy that I’ve waited 3.5 yrs for.I got the call and went to pick it up, and there was something on the dial , like a piece of fluff or a hair, I simply could not take it home with me….I was so disappointed.
There's Honolulu Time Company that has a great second hand collection and the Ala Moana mall has most of the major brands like Rolex, Omega, Tag ect. Have fun in Hawaii
I have Omega and Rolex watches and everyone of them are well built and so far with no issues or whatsoever. Common guys none of them brands is perfect. They produce and sell millions of them and they are all machine built. Those things can happen and Just because there are a few monday watches out there that doesn’t mean they produce sh*t. There are millions of satisfied customers out there. Of course, those things cost a lot of money, but here is exactly where you can see how a brand operates when a problem occurs and specifically how they treat their customers. If they manage to solve the issue and make everything smooth for the customer what else could you ask for? I mean we buy mechanical wonders that tell us the time on -2 to +2 or 0 to +5 seconds per day. In this day and age we could easily use our phones that does this job even more accurate and cheaper. The complicated movements especially the chronographs can have issues if not handled properly or maybe shipped.
Super Awesome they exchanged it that way - For sure Rolex would make you be with out a watch, Thanks so much for this Video as I expect to get this Exact watch in a few day hopefully mine is perfect and i for sure will check this when I pick mine up. -
I also had an issue with the chronometer on my new white Speedy and the watch is currently with Omega being repaired. My issue was that the chronometer would not stop with the upper pusher and the center seconds hand kept spinning. After repeated push attempts, the seconds hand would not stop, but return to the 12 o'clock position. It would operate normally after that 15-20 times then the same problem would occur again. Very bummed to send it in for service after owning it for only one week.
1:38 "Chronograph". Chronometer is a specification, not a function. For someone with as many pieces as you have, and as into this hobby as you are, that really hurt the soul to hear lol.
It's not high demand honestly you're being scammed paying full price for it - it's not worth half that if you try to sell it on you'll realise no one wants it
@@HawaiianHorologyyou didn’t get scammed. Retailers that discount ruin the market in general. Enjoy the piece and only buy watches to own and not resell. If you do it that way, it really doesn’t make much difference.
Had also issues with the black dial one. Chronograph pusher stopped and activated the small second and Not the Big one. Lmao. Omega is no longer what it once was
@@HawaiianHorology Omega fanboy since 2009 but I switched from Omega (I also had 3 and had problems with two) to Rolex due to too many problems. I was never a Rolex fan, but I'm really excited about the brand now. Extremely good quality for almost the same money as Omega nowadays.
It's funny how people can nicely accept a major defect like this by a big brand like Omega. But still would give shit to brands like Seiko for quality control issues that happen on much cheaper time pieces. I don't blame Rolex, Omega, and PP for what they do as long as we have customers who take their shit gladly.
Why get the same one instead of getting a totally new one . If a car is lemon I wouldn’t want a mechanical to fixed it and give me back I would like a brand new car.
@@HawaiianHorology I did not order another one. I ordered the faulty one through the Army Air Force Exchange (AAFES), which is an authorized dealer. And in fact, the Seamaster 300 was shipped directly from the Swatch Group facility in New Jersey. I was actually shocked when I saw that three or four of the letters across the front were either very light or half missing. They must have some type of a laser engraver, but it didn't work on this one. So I sent it back and got all my money back. I'm sticking with my vintage Omega's at this point, the 50th anniversary GMT, and a 1999 chronograph, which I sent back to a Megan Switzerland for a full service.
@@JustMeTalking Agreed! If you didn't buy it from that store. They would probably have the in house watchmaker take a look at it or send it to RSC worst case.
