I spoke with our Omega Boutique in Indianapolis. They said they expect these to be available for purchase around June. They anticipate an immediate rush to buy but as you guys said, these are not limited watches.

3-4 years is way too high. Everyone said the same thing about the Green Seamster, albeit less popular, it was readily available in 5-6 months after release. Let’s not hype up this, Omega said it was full release
Some places even almost 12 months. Then people didn’t care. I bought it in January and because no one wanted it for 2 months it was on offer a few places 😂 I lost a lot of value on mine rofl
I think 3 to 4 years for normal people is a stretch, I believe normal people will be able to get them in 6 months to a year.

Very possible to get this year. Went to an omega boutique yesterday; got to see the watch in person, absolutely beautiful. They are taking 50% deposit to get it within “6-8 months”

Rolex has been living on dials and bezel colors for years and they dominated the internet for it at least some of the details are new .
I saw it yesterday and put it on at an AD. I really liked it. It’s lovely and I really liked the bracelet which I hadn’t tried on before. AD told me that he had 60 people on the list and that they would first of course go to their preferred clients. He then asked If I liked Gold watches. I hope they make them in bulk because I think I would pull the trigger on it when available.
Sam, $1100 than a regular Speedy? You mean more than the Hesalite version just like the black sapphire one, which it is only $100 more than.
Though you can get a discount on the black and probably won't get a discount on white.

Beautiful Omega Seamaster! I own a similar one, a "bumper" from the late 1950's, It harkens back to the golden age of mechanical watches, and is a pleasure to wear. So elegant, simple, lightweight, and good looking. Congrats!!

I think Omega will do the same as they have with the Green Seamaster …..which is now readily available from AD and at a discount pre-owned. The Summer blue’s still aren’t readily available in store but are hitting the pre-owned market at a discount too
This is Omega,not Rolex and these are not limited. They should be readily available soon and selling under retail on the grey market within 8-12 months. Even right now just after release there are Chrono24 postings for around $10K…paying over retail for this watch is not smart. I’d instead aim to pay under retail or at least get a better deal through a duty free.

After just getting it yesterday, I put my intention buying a Daytona into a trash can as this one is much better

Agreed. But then again, the Speedmaster Pro has always been a superior watch compared to the Daytona. The only thing the Daytona has going for it is the fanboy hype.

I owned a 2 Speedmaster Professionals and still own a Daytona and the Speedmasters couldn't compete with the comfort of accuracy of the Daytona and the Daytona is more rugged. It kills all the shit talking about the Daytona. From most people who never even held one but they're expert's on them. Don't you ever get tired of the constant Rolex shit talking. I swear Omega fan boys are the worst with this. They swear they hate the brand but constantly bring Rolex up.

Availability for this watch will be exact same as the green SMP 300. It will be hard to get for the first year then stock will increase. Local omega boutique said they’re getting in ~4 per month for the first year then production will ramp up to meet the demand.

OK, this comment is not because I’m being critical. It’s because I actually care. I really leave comments but for some reason I’ve left a few comments on your channel. We come to these conversations for insight when it’s all done and said. And I would challenge you all to look through the last few episodes the two of you did together and do a little hash marks. Each time a different person brings a useful piece of insight. One of you is clueless. Asking them questions is just, well it’s not furthering your brand. It’s somewhat tedious. Two friends, great. Nice people great. Maybe there’s chemistry. Maybe there’s not great. But insightful comments.
So here’s the constructive criticism: you prepare you you come to these things prepared with something thoughtful to say. You know the night before or the week before what you’re going to talk about. Come up with some original thought that makes a viewer feel like it was worth our time. Then you will take this to the next level. Then you will grow your viewer base.
So sorry, did not mean this to be negative. I’m just trying to be like a good friend who tells you what you need to know. Furthermore, I think both of you already realize what I’m saying. Best of luck to you both and I hope all ends up well for everyone involved.

Beautiful Omega - the vintage one, on your wrist. The very similar Seamaster 1948 is also my favourite model from Omega's current line up.
This is a solid release and the $100 premium over the standard sapphire model is fine.
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of NKUWAN . Their timepieces are of exceptional quality.
The previous white dial Speedmaster in Canopus gold is much better looking. It has a softness and warmth that’s the complete opposite of this new cold white dial version.
Never seen this many people so angry at a disclosed estimate. Calm down you guys are insane 💀

I have never commented until now on this channel but the videos were better with Michael who is more knowledgeable about watches than Sam. Sam thinks $55k for a gold Speedmaster is an “appropriate” price. People watching these videos are for the most part more knowledgeable about watches than Sam so it just doesn’t work for this channel.
No offense to Sam because he has stepped into a hard job, but it is very obvious that he’s not really a watch guy.

unlike the canopus speedy, which i've personally owned, this new steel speedy has a white dial. the canopus dial is silver, which i detested. it also seems to have blackened/painted hands; the canopus speedy's hands are silver. the result is that this new speedy is legible and the canopus speedy is VERY MUCH not. was bad enough that I returned it after a week.

From the leaked photo of Daniel Craig wearing the white dial... I HAD to have it, but now seeing more photos and videos of people's incoming, I'm not as swayed. I'm not sure if it was the lighting on the leaked photos that made the white really stand out, but when I see most peoples images now, the white looks a little "dirty" if that makes sense. I was about to see it today in person at my local Omega Boutique. I literally hopped in the car, and then my GPS told me it was gong to take 42 minutes to drive there (when it's normally less). I immediately got out of the car, and resumed my Friday tasks. I just didn't have that kind of time today for a round trip. So I'll check it out another day to confirm... But, it's my belief that once the white dial hype dies down, people will realize the black dial is the better choice. Maybe.
RJ Broer (speedy Tuesday guy) called it the Daniel Craig. It’s already priced on chrono24 (50% up from list). That bump won’t last, because many of them will be manufactured. Those that couldn’t get the snoopy will be able to get this one below retail in a couple of years (or get it new in a few months from a boutique at list). Should look great with a suit. Very legible. I put a deposit.

I like it but I'll settle for a Speedmaster Racing, typically $3,500 new with white dial and white subdials. Lacking the enamel dial, applied indices, and see-thru back.
Should look good on leather strap. Black, gray suede? I wonder how good the bracelet is with taper and micro adjustment.
My AD has been begging me to get on their first round list at MSRP. 15-20K…😅

It’s very nice but I bought the SMP 300 Great White for the similar look (dial color) at less than half the price and wanted the automatic movement anyway. New Speedy won’t hold its value as a regular release.
As a Speedmaster fan since the 80's. White dial Speedy nothing new, nothing special, not impressed, not surprised (most Speedy community fans knew this was going to happen sooner or later). But, BUT..... I like it. Don't pay over retail guys. Just wait for availability, don't let some AD's tell you they haven't received them yet. They have, and they're holding back on you.

I quite like this new white dial variant of the Speedmaster. It shows a departure from the Moonwatch aesthetics, which may irritate Moonwatch purists and enthusiasts. But I personally think it sets a new and positive direction for Omega, where they know they need a fresh take on the whole first watch on the moon theme. The new release is also nicely timed prior to the Summer Olympics this year, of which Omega is the official timekeeper.
I would imagine that moonwatch purists and enthusiasts will be fine with the watch, since it isn't a departure from the moonwatch aesthetics and has many historical parallels in the catalogue.
I got mine today, barely 1 month waite time with no prior buying history...

The design will be a success temporarily because white dials have been hyped like crazy the past few years because of the Explorer Il. I'm a purist and love the original hesalite moonwatch, which is the historical model. I think this will make the black dial sapphire sandwich an orphan since this is basically at the same price. Omega has done white dials for years on most of their product lines, including the Speedy. The hype will die down the next time a Rolex watch gets hyped. Just like when the John Mayer Daytona became hyped, then Omega was late to the game producing a yellow gold and green dial Speedy. Now they're late to the game again producing a white dial Speedy (non-limited edition), which will be all the rage for a little while then will die down in a year or so.

Do you know, I agree. I’m not into the white on this. It’s certainly not a bad-looking watch, but it’s not as slick to my eye. I also don’t think it’ll be as versatile with multiple strap configurations.
I’ve also owned (past tense) two Speedmasters (the previous model sandwich, and the FOIS).

I agree with you 💯 its over done. There was a time I wanted a Speedmaster Professional but gotten completely sick of it. I rather buy a vintage Omega Mark 3 or 4.5 or a Flight Master. The Professional lost its allure and cool factor for me. They are running that design into the ground

Although I have black dial watches, it’s because they are only in black - Batgirl, Sub. Otherwise I avoid black dials like the plague. Unless you wear black clothes (I don’t), I don’t get the “versatile” argument. White dials (or silver) are so much more versatile. 100% versatile in fact. Maybe people are just realizing? Another possible reason is that the black dial Speedy is blah? Like the Sub. Just too many.
Well this video didn’t age well. You can literally get one within 6 months and maybe faster and the prices on chrono were 12k to start and dropping to 10 and lower already…..

First of all, I am what you would call a big omega fan. This bei g said, I tried it yesterday...
For me this is a pass...and a big one. The dial is really not that great, honestly the moment I saw it in real. I thought : that looks cheap...
On the picture that looks great...but in real life, what a disappointment !
First the red color : much lighter than on the pictures, this red in my opinion does not bring enough contrast on the white dial nor the refreshing splash I was hoping for.
Second the overall dial definition...it look far from being sharp, like if colors diffused a bit, leading to an overall feeling of a messy dial...
In short, if it looked like the pictures it would be great. But it doesn't.
So before considering buying go to an AD and try it on !
I love your take on the white dial but your demand predictions are already way off. These are already listed on the grey market and sitting at $11k USD with no takers. Additionally, I spoke to my Omega boutique and they already offered me this watch. As beautiful as it is, I don't think the demand is as high as people think. Your best bet is to inquire about it at Omega and place a deposit at the retail price, or wait until the end of the year for supply to catch up. I see this selling at or below retail this time next year. Don't get caught in the hype and pay more than you need to.
