Who doesn't love a classic platformer? Did you play this as a kid or discover it from one of the many re-releases? Is it something you think you'll check out now that Ole Gamer Joe let you know about it?
I've tried this one a few times, but it's kind of... intense. Not just the challenge, but all the random stuff you have to do to get all the secret bonus points and everything is just non-stop crazy. Of course, that's pretty on-brand for the '90s, so it fits.
Ha, yes... They had to do something to keep you playing again and again. If it wasn't re-released so many times I don't think I would have played it though. I don't think I ever played a physical cartridge version of it.

Good to know. Let's be honest, even if it came out, would it have been much better than what we got? I'm a huge Sega fan and owned all of their consoles (and add ons), but most 32X ports basically just made the Genesis versions more on par with the SNES
I love this review and I love Dynamite Headdy! The one nitpick I have with this video though is that you made the sleepy head upgrade sound like a bad thing but you can regain all your health while you use it.

The sleep head is actually good, it regenerates health while he's asleep. Just so you know.

I'm really digging this spinoff channel. Lots of great memories of games I loved and new discoveries of games I never knew about.

There's is a dynamite headdy port for Sega 32x, but it got cancelled due to the poor sales of the Sega 32x

Never could get into this game. Shame.
Sometimes things just don't click with you and that's ok. Clearly they didn't feel gamers were fond of it enough to ever do a sequel or anything.
