Having now played the game I can confidently say the game specifically points out the centre window and how it is mechanically better than the others. Perception -1 strikes again apparently.

Jon constantly rejecting offers at slightly below a fair price before negotiating in a NEGOTIATION GAME.
Admittedly this doesn't always work later on, since if you don't properly examine what's brought in your ass will be blasted.
You also can't counter offer when people come in to buy, the calculator comes up, but as far as I know it won't let you counter offer at all they just give you a price and you say yes or no. Watched another streamer play for a bit and I remember the chat getting riled up until he demonstrated that bit

@@georgespence6727 Well to be fair, most shops like this would never tell you the REAL worth either. They generally go on "book" value minus a bit. Nice try but this game is way off base. Nothing here is being pawned, so it's not even a pawn shop. In this playthrough, Jon is playing a Truth Shop rather than a make money shop.
@@TAGSlays True, though he is playing it as a make money shop listing it 30% above appraisal when it'd be at or maybe 10 or 15% mark up. The profit is usually at when they buy it I would believe

I like that there's no time pressure. I could not play papers please because it would be annoying me too much. But this one looks very interesting. I'd like to see you playing it more.
You can use cheat engine to freeze time while you're inspecting the documents
I love how Jon walks his character around while monologuing, even in a side scroller. lol.
He may not have ADHD in real life, but all his player characters in all games seem to. :D
That Mona Lisa forgery is really impressive, being dated to 14 years before the real thing.
Maybe Leonardo had the canvas sitting in his cupboard for a while before he started painting

It doesn’t matter what game it is, if it’s an option, Jon will always walk in circles while talking.
While the real Mona Lisa doesn't have a signature, it's nearly three feet high and painted on a wooden panel. Don't get fobbed off with an A4 print!

@@marcogenovesi8570 Don't we have tools that can scan the layers of paint, uncovering the original sketch and order the strokes of paint are painted in... I'd take a VR recreation showing how the Mona Lisa was painted stroke by stroke from sketch easily over seeing the real thing in person.

The whole emotion suppression thing reminds me of the awesome film “Equilibrium” with Christian Bale…….if you haven’t seen it, it’s WELL worth a watch.
Dystopia 17b: AKA The Equilibrium Paradox, not overly common, can be very preachy at times, but done well can be truly exceptional
I would say this is a great game for Jon to do a full series on
this game is really interesting and i think it's a good fit for the type of narration that jon excels at.
He's fantastic at injecting story and character into the gaps of games. I've never been one for grand strategy games, but he makes them so fascinating and enjoyable that Stellaris and CKII were some of my favorites.
This game looks fascinating. I'd love to see Jon play more of it.
I love games with very precise facts, I found the Mona Lisa painting existing in the game very interesting, especially when the age was in the actual predicted age of the actual mona lisa

jon...going by what you described this game as, you missed out on a lot of the actual story behind papers please didn't you? This one just seems like you get to be a shop npc in any dystopian setting game people play, so it's dystopia pawn shop the game

Check out "Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet" by Becky Chambers. It's pretty well known in SFF circles for holding a more optimistic view of the future.

Potentially while he’s exploring the city at the beginning and end of each day. It’s a decent walk back to the apartment and it takes a while to check all the trash bins.
