I'm just going to headcanon some elves just had a massive drunken party and someone went, "You know what? We should declare ourselves an independent nation!", and that's how that happened.

Sadly the nuance here is more that the established hierarchy was weakened by the loss of a king and multiple heirs split the nation. They do love beer, though.

This is the god game I have been asking for for decades. Being a god isn't about deciding for your creations directly. It's about doing whatever the flip you want and leaving them to their own devices!
@@dukeofthedance8062 lol. I used to use C&C Generals: Zero Hour as a creative writing tool, if you can believe it. With how easy that game is to mod and create custom maps for, you would be surprised just how many different scenarios one can come up with and let play out in various ways.

Technically his first act was to spawn a human, have it eaten by a bear and then make that bear cease to exist by dropping a space rock on it.

iv put some time into this game, the NPCs are more than happy to turn it into Total War: Middle Earth on their own.

That actually happens in Old World - the soundtrack only kicks in when you research the music/drama/poetry tech. It's super cute.

@@jacobjohnson6384 I think you're thinking of the event when a couple of bears were summoned to kill what are sometimes translated as "little boys" but were more likely young adults, priests of Baal, etc. They were also idolaters who picked a confrontation with a prophet, not innocent bystanders.
I mean, they were quite peaceful staying right there, but then in a miracle, there was a land right to the doorstep of their enemy, soooo, who could have confronted the believers saying that the land is a miracle from God for us to start a war? kinda historically accurate I would say, maybe not land, but many reasons were given by some supposed believers to start a war in the course of history in the name of god. now, this video makes me think that maybe the benevolent god, was in fact, interested in some of those wars.
To be fair.... He did part the river Jordan so he could smash Jericho.....
This game has a strong potential as an election prediction mechanism at the next opportunity.
Those poor peaceful orcs, they just wanted to be alone and beat other orcs up, but the Mad God Jon forced them to fight, then decimated their population several times over.
Now we know whenever the zombie apocalypse happens, it happens because god felt that the society it begins I was too incompetent

Oh wow, I never thought I’d see this on the channel. I’ve been playing it since it was a very basic mobile game. Insane to see an originally tiny developer grow large enough to get coverage like this.
@@dickrichard626 Not everything is a conspiracy dude. Just because YOU don’t like it doesn’t mean other people don’t. You clearly haven’t been around the channel very long if you think this isn’t exactly the kind of game Jon would love, even with it’s flaws.
yeah it was a mobile game but recently they got enough money to make a bigger version for it on steam now in early access
dude its in early access as in they are still ADDING to it and that it is not finished yet, so judging it based on its carried over from mobile to PC version with very little currently added when its basically in an alpha stage is not really something that makes sense, I mean if you have suggestions go and suggest them? its a work in progress, and it IS still fun like this because there are alot of people who enjoy watching nations build up splinter and crash only for them to nuke them in the end and not that many games give that sorta freedom to create and destroy at will without there being some cost or consequence when really you shouldn't have such things when you are supposed to be playing as a GOD, and that is the allure of this game finished or not.
43 minutes of watching kingdoms and cultures evolve with jon occasionally nuking them or blessing them with chickens did NOT prepare me for the words "giant crabzilla" or what followed
also the hilarity of "Pise" dying as soon as jon made everyone declare war on everyone is not lost on me

Yeah, if I'm being honest I probably wouldn't intervene - just setup a few starting colonies and let it run for a few thousand simulated years
There's a game called galimulator that while a little less complex, has the same general watching empires rise and fall. I really recommended it.

Interesting game. If this taught me anything though, it's that Orcs, Humans, Dwarves and Elves are all equally bad at Age of Empires II.
The WIW popping up over and over and over again in the end was just perfect. They were all in boats. Nuking the land meant nothing to them. Humanity and their boats won it.
Always amazing, how good Jon is at live commentating. Others would need a big script and voiceovers.

Man i love this game, I've been following and playing since early on in development and it's just steadily been filled with more and more stuff consistently for years.
There's so much more depth than just watching the silly little men run around. For example, there's height to each block and also temperature, that's why you get deformation and water flowing in to bombed land.
My favorite part of all of this and why i got it originally though is the AI civs. Originally, while decent, they were pretty basic and either went to war or expanded. These lil dudes would literally swim armies across the ocean and drown sometimes, there were no boats. But now, they're actually pretty smart for what it is, and there's a decently complex process as to why they do things and also the result of those things. I have some worlds that have gone on for a looong time, and long lost civilisations of extinct races still have an impact to a degree on todays world because they left behind some crazy legendary weapons or armour, which was plucked from dead kings in war and passed down from king to king. It's almost nostalgic to hover over those weapons and see the name of the creator and civ, remembering how they once conquered half the world, and now all that's left of them is this ancient object still in use. You really do start rooting for these dudes, and as god you can sometimes give them a lil (or fuken huge) nudge in the right direction if you wish.
Anyway, hats off the the devs. They keep pumping out good, fun content and they don't seem to slow down.

The reason the main island of Pise just died was because you didn’t fully get rid of the plague, it’s an incredibly difficult thing to fully get rid of since if you miss even one person it will spread again and it spreads very quickly
