I love what you said about looking to find the good instead of the bad. That is a great maxim for life.

No you didn't Cesar. You took a boring scene and turned it into another Cesar Santos masterpiece wash. I love your attitude toward life and art. Find the good in everything and everyone. God bless you Cesar.

Cesar, that was amazing! In the Gibs museum is General John R. Fenwick by Stuart Gilbert. You paused at it for a moment and I recognized it from a copy my father has had for years. We never knew anything about the painting. I called my father and told him about the original. Thanks for a magic art connection.

I just learned about this the other day. That pose you were talking about from the Velasquez painting actually has a name: the Renaissance elbow! There's a paper that talks about it that's worth a read: A Cultural History of Gesture, by Bremmer and Roodenberg.

Oh man, on a sidenote I never ever thought of sculpture and things like that as drawing with three dimensional material and I’ve never heard anyone else explain it that way.. Mind blown. Awesome man thanks

I used to travel by train a lot. The nearest city was in 12 hours, and usually you get in the train in the evening go to bed, wake up in the morning and you are at your distanation. Capital used to be at 48 hours of travel. Nowdays trains go faster and don't stop for too long it takes about 36 hours.

I was there last month! Loved it. It is great that you have two Bouguereau paintings next to each other, one early and one towards his end.
