This I called puff puff in Nigeria. Reminds me of when I was younger. It was basically served everywhere
I made it few days ago at home
Magwinya in Lesotho - I love puff puff!
We call it bofwrote in ghana
No this isn’t the typical puff puff
This has a different texture from bofrot or puff puff because of the corn starch
My nanna always mixed her ingredients by hand too and she put so much love and time into it. That’s why her food was always delicious. I miss her tremendously. Thanks for the recipe.
Thisis theway u get deseases inafric mixing eating foid w dirty hands
Wow !!! at least somene working dow with a tool not hands !
I try it dear it so sweet thanks
❤
It's amazing how this simple yet delicious dish is found in many different cultures around the world. It's very popular among Muslims and swahilis in Kenya where it's called kaimati. There is this sugar coated option or the ones made with sugar and/or banana in them. Sudanese also make this but coated with icing sugar. They call it la'gaimat (probably spelled it wrong but that's how it's pronounced).
Totally in Mombasa kenyavwe made list of these especially during Ramadan season like now,.. am here thinking of using condensed milk as coating and not the usual we way we used to do it with melted sugar 😅
In comoros 🇰🇲 to, it's called kaymati
I almost make everyday especially RAMADHAN season like today. IN ARABIC TERM IS LUGUIMAT***
LUGUIMAT
Yep i have an empty bottle but none of the ingredients :)
Maybe you could just use a piping bag with a big round tip or just cut the edge of the piping bag if you don't have the tip to achieve the round shape.. less hassle putting it in a bottle with small opening
My thoughts exactly
Exactly
Or she could have cut the bottom of the bottle and used that side for filling
This is jst an option for those that dont hve piping bags.
@@daintyflygirl4va any clear clean plastic will be ok to use.. or at least cut the bottom of the bottle or use a funnel so it won't be that so hard to transfer.
That’s looks delicious thank you for sharing my friend 👏🏽👏🏽👌👌
Wow this looks delicious thanks for sharing your amazing recipes
❤️ Looks delicious, thanks for sharing your recipes.
This recipe is golden, I tweaked it a little bit. By adding a extra tablespoon of sugar, (brown) to add to the taste cause I used cornstarch instead of corn flour. I also added some apricot jam, nutmeg/ cinnamon and a squeeze of orange juice to the mix. It’s delish 😋 thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you for your recipe. Appreciate the nice relaxing music also.😊
What a delicious recipe. Looks amazing
Here's a helpful hint next time cut of the bottom of the bottle save and extra cap put that on well you fill the bottle from the bottom saves so much time
Ihi
I now saw this comment... Yess makes alot if sense
I don't think it'll work that way, after cutting the bottom open you cannot sqeeze the dough out of the bottle any more. Or you can of course, but it'll burst out of the cut bottom in a big lump, instead of the small hole in the cap. But a ziplock bag might work here, if it's not too big for sqeezing or holding it in your hands. Or you could use a ziplock bag to sqeeze the dough inside the bottle a bit easier... 🤔
@@kiija5354 yes u are right 🙂
About to say same thing
Tried your recipe and it was delicious. We call it puff-puff but never made it with the sugar coating. Will definitely try it again

I hope it's ok to make a suggestion. When I make puff puff (kind of the same dessert) I cut the bottom of the bottle. It makes it easier to fill. Do this with the top on. Tape the hole in the top until you are ready to drop it in the oil.
Oh you are so very brilliant.♥️😁
This looks absolutely delicious! I would love to try :) Thank you for sharing
This looks so tasty and delicious. Definitely gonna try this. Keep posting new more videos.
This is PUFF-Puff.. easier and quicker with the palms..love it
This isn't puff-puff because he added cornflour and baking powder. For puff-puff, you only need yeast.
@@Prettylittlehumannnnn its puff puff. Adding baking soda doesnt change it. You could add pepper or curry if you wanted a flavour. I add nutmeg. Doesnt stop it from being puff puff.
@@isaacdanielajayi7738 this isn't how we make puff-puff in Nigeria please. Only yeast is needed for a Nigerian puff-puff. Adding baking powder or soda turns it to another snack not puff-puff. Thanks
@@isaacdanielajayi7738 do you know the texture of a puff-puff? Can it be compared to what's shown here? You know your answers already.
@@Prettylittlehumannnnn you are right! Just like Jollof is not pilau. What makes it puff puff is mostly the ingredients. What makes pilau is the ingredient used.
Ingenioso sistema de la botella. Gracias.
Very delicious I'm definitely going to try this out, well how are you doing today??
OMG that's a good idea. Perfect one. Looks so Delicious, yummy 😋😋😋
Thank you for the recipe, I've made these sweet balls many times, I've never cooked them twice but I will next time to give them that extra crunch. I'll use a plastic bag and just cut the corner out to squeeze the dough out.
Can I skip sugar coating
I appreciate you including the different measurements 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love Arabic food! I was in Saudi Arabia in 2019. I had gone for work purpose. The food there is incredibly good wow. Love from USA, California.

Good idea Looked so yummy I try it thank u for sharing.
We call them “loukoumades” in Greece. We use a wet spoon and our hands to shape the dough. After it is fried we drizzle them with Nutella or honey and cinnamon or dip them in syrup.
😋

Great recipe! To save all the trouble with the bottle, a piping bag would be far easier.
If one could get a piping bag so easily.
This looks delicious!

Puff puff dear...this is a staple dessert in Nigeria
Yeah... It is quite different tho, as this contains baking powder.

Gostei muito desta idéia, mas se você colocar esta massa em um saco plástico e cortar um buraco bem na ponta do fundo ai e só espremer pra dentro da garrafa, ou direto na panela.
AMEI sua dica.😍

Hello Vitoria Ribeiro ... how are you doing over there?
In South Africa we have a traditional sweet treat called "koeksisters". It is very similar to this, also a deep fried dough dipped in a sugar syrup. Try flavouring the syrup with a touch of ginger. Yum!
These balls are no whwre near koeksusters. Its a Arab recipe. Seen it in Egypt and Sudan too. Syrup would make it horeble. They throw sugar or powered sugar on it.
In South Africa this is called Bollas. A koeksiester is something different to the Bolla
I like it too
Looks yumm😋
우왕 맛잇겟네요🤗
These are called puff puff in Nigeria. I’m definitely trying the bottle method.

Oui c'est vrai, on peut utiliser une cuillère ou la main mais pour cette dernière, vous avez le coup de main que je n'ai pas 😅personnellement... Lol😁
I just use my hands it's faster... We call them kaimati here in Mombasa KENYA 🇰🇪
