I'M DONE HERE - DISNEY IS DESTROYING STAR WARS - WHAT A JOKE! RANT

- Disney put more than 2x the budget of Obi-Wan Kenobi into She Hulk, and another 250M into Andor. These execs are not handling the most important characters with care. They are virtue signalling and focusing on their own agendas whilst hiring people less than suitable for the writing and directing.

I’ve been done with Disney for years. Kathleen Kennedy has destroyed the franchise like Palpatine destroyed the Republic; from within, bit by bit.
if Disney wants just a tiny bit of redemption, they need to fire KK full stop
I thought Mando was good
@@jamesawwyea I never said Mando was bad, BOBF, Obi wan show, where just forgettable, Mando was great at times, Andor was Great, Ashoka was good. Bad Batch I love apart from the bad Cliffhanger. the sequal trilogy never happend in my mind.
She's the reason why the Sequel Trilogy flopped. We could have got something better but she always turned her back on George Lucas's ideas.
Word
Hayden, Ewan, the crew, and the fans all deserved better than what they got. It’s truly a shame that Disney doesn’t nurture the franchise THAT THEY BOUGHT! This is outrageous, it’s unfair!
Don't forget that Ewan was a producer on the show, pushed for it to be made, and went put saying how great it was, and calling people out for being racist regarding Reva. Had really hoped he would have done better and stand his ground into the legacy of the character he obviously loves.
@@stuartspencer2161tbf people were being racist to Reva (can’t remember the actress rn) and I’m glad Ewan stuck up for her. Was it a shit character sure but that’s not the actress Fault.
@afishy1465 I have no doubt that some people were being racist, but a majority of criticism was regarding the poor writing of the character, which wasn't the actresses fault. Yet they always lump all criticism into one basket, without any accountability of their own, and simply blaming "toxic fans" for the failure.
@@afishy1465 You don't understand. Some? Of course, literally by being FAMOUS you'll get harassed for ANY number of ridiculous things. The point is, no ACTUAL large amount of racism happened to her, never proved, and all that happened was the FEW racist comments were used to dismiss ALL criticism of the show, so literally using the actress as a race and gender shield against VALID criticism is ACTUALLY racist. It's the same when any movie with a black lead fails they'll say it's racists review bombing, but somehow those racists just forgot about movies like Black Panther. Or maybe, that movie didn't get reviewed badly because it was a GOOD movie, and people blaming racism are the actual racists.
Yeah hearing the crew excitement to get to work with Hayden and Ewan makes it even more sad… they wanted to do great with the show but the suits were too involved
It's not just Star wars ,Disney is slowly destroying every franchise they have buy over the years
So true actually, Marvel fell so hard over these 3 years
@@AD2884_S
So wrong
Disney bought marvel way back in 2009 and injected more money in it to create the MCU, the largest cinematic success in history.
Compare their treatment of the MCU with infinity war and endgame, with the shitty sequels.
Night and fucking day.
However once endgame ended, it’s been downhill because everyone knows the big story is over, now it’s just fragmented plots that don’t really seem to connect.
@@doh-nc8ku yeah true, I wasn’t shiting on Disney as a whole cause they did amazing jobs with the previous movies, but as I said “over the past 3 years” is when they gave up
@@AD2884_S agree
It sucks for the MCU, well at least they had a great run. Now we get superhero fatigue, and especially Star Wars fatigue. The fact that they have to use prequel shit to hype up fans is sad
@@doh-nc8kuJust cause the mcu is failing doesn’t mean the entire genre is. The Batman, Peacemaker, Invincible, The Boys, Gen V, Guardians 3, Loki, Superman and Lois, My Adventures with Superman, Across The Spiderverse, and TMNT mutant Mayhem wouldn’t all be critically and/or financially successful if fatigue was the issue. There’s no fatigue, people are tired of the formulaic, unoriginal, and inorganic films marvel have been making. But the genre itself people clearly aren’t tired of.
Imagine making a bad show and you've got Obi and Vader to work with as characters.
Disney’s motive was told in their writing in the sequel trilogy when Kylo Ren said “Let the past die. Kill it if you have to.” That single quote is why they treat the old characters like trash. It’s definitely designed that way on purpose
What old character besides Han Solo was treated like trash?
@@TheComicsLounge1the answer is “yes”.
It makes sense to kill off the old characters but they clearly put no love and thought into making new ones
@@TheComicsLounge1 Darth Bane, Darth Zannah, Darth Plagueis as well as many others were literally thrown in the trash. They threw away most of their best stories.
@@TheComicsLounge1idk Luke, Lando, Han, Admiral Ackbar, probably some more too.
I didn't know She-Hulk had a bigger budget, obviously Obi's budget was more than enough to make a great project but that REALLY shows where the Disney execs priorities are at.
Obi sucked so much 😆😆😆
for me Andor was amazing, never saw the Empire as competent and fearsome until I watched Andor.
If the whole Star Wars made original and creative stuff like Andor, that would be amazing honestly. I had zero expectations going in, but am extremely glad I watched it.
I agree Andor is one of the few good things Disney has made since acquiring Star Wars. It was a nature show that really made you feel the despair snd difficult decisions he had to make. I enjoyed its slower pace for a change.
Disney had almost nothing to do with Andor, outside of putting competent people in charge and giving them creative control.
@@yrwestillhere then Disney didn't have much to do with the sequels either, other than putting incompetent people in charge and giving them creative control
@@nocturnal03 I'm sure they've meddled with the scripts far more on sequels than on Andor.
Andor is amazing but it’s not a star wars show it’s so good and I can’t gush about it enough but it’s not a Star Wars show at it’s core
Star Wars was destroyed by the wokeside
sound like an incel 💀
I don't thik its woke that killed star wars, i think it was to many badly written shows with bad actors, and a small dash of political messaging see acolyte, Truth fully if it had a great script and was directed brilliantly and if the actors particularly younger cast members could act amazingly, i think even with woke in it wed have loved it and people like Kennedy could say we told you so, but it wasn't and instead it was total garbage and nearly every front,(i liked fighting parts sometimes). Terrible show no mater what label it had. i am glad its under the woke label but it would have been terrible without that.
I think Disney just assumed that no one likes the prequels but they were wrong. They seemed genuinly surprised and confused by Kenobi's initial massive hype and viewership.
They knew, KK just wanted that budget on Andor
Most of disneys more major employees are prequel haters leslye headland literally insulted them when pitching her self to the fans
I was in my 20s when episode one came out and A LOT of folks hated them,as much as the ones who were younger when episode one came out hate the sequel trilogy....I honestly feel like it's just repeating history, just more known now cuz of social media etc ..but believe me the prequels got TONS of hate when they came out
@@redeyejedi1484 they did, but no one ever hated the story telling in the prequels, it was also about too much CGI, Jar Jar, Anakin being whinny etc etc, the ST is hated because it’s a corporate cash grab with zero thought or passion put into it, it’s soulless, and will never be remembered fondly, apart from the hype leading up to it which we all enjoyed, before we realised the truth.

We’ve been this mad for years. The problem is Ashoka comes out and everyone looses their minds over the key jingles and then it ends and we’re left with nothing but an empty shell of a story and more questions and plot holes. Stop giving Disney “credit” for key jingles and start demanding better
So true
The force is female; we can’t.
I've never seen a more overrated show in my life. Painfully mid the whole way through and fans gushed all over it.
it's what i said even before it was out. but nooo i get all the hate and i don't understand the "story"
Cough cough Andor
My theory is that Palpatine has secretly been orchestrating the destruction of Star Wars and appears in the senior Disney meetings as a hologram with instructions.
Making the books non-cannon was the first in a long line of horrendous decisions made by Disney towards Star Wars.
You had dozens of PROVEN popular storylines and characters, that people loved,....and then threw it all away thinking they could do better 😒
The books were NEVER canon. They were always a separate entity than Lucas’ canon.
I dont mind the books being non-canon because having so much stuff can be confusing HOWEVER i truly believe that they should have made movies or shows, adapting certain stories to fit them into the canon. That way its not too much to the point of making no sense and we still get the most beloved stories back into the canon
Books where never canon but Disney shouldn’t have handled it that way
To me, the only canon star wars is the Kotor and Swtor era.
@@Needler13 that is damn weird but repect😂👍
I think Disney thought just having Ewan’s presence alone would generate the hype/success of the show rather than putting an actual investment into it
That was the only reason people watched it initially. But even great actors can’t hold up a horrendous story
They don't understand character, plot, dialog, tension, or anything else that builds a good movie.
They understand money, actors, power sets (mantleship), and The Message. That's about it.
Nail on the head, bro. Those in charge at Disney will NEVER learn… and it’s sad. Thanks for being a voice for us, Theory.
This dude doesn’t represent me. His obsession with Filoni is borderline delusional. I get it I am a Filoni fan too. However, saying that “Ahsoka” was better written than “Obi Wan” is just laughable. My honest opinion is “Ahsoka” was the worst show made under Disney. Anakin and Ahsoka meeting was horribly done and made no sense, Shin and Baylan were the worst villains ever introduced in the series.
If you think that I agree with everything that comes out of Theory's piehole, then you're the one who's delusional. I'm not a fan of Filoni... at all. Space Whales that have hyperdrive a-holes? GTFO! Nevertheless, Theory is unquestionably the definition of a superfan, and he has a recognized "voice" in fandom. I like that he doesn't bend over and take whatever Disney gives us. THANK YOU THEORY FOR GIVING US A VOICE! HEAR HEAR!
Shin is very one-note and uninteresting, but Baylan is literally the best Star Wars character in a long time.@@tylergagnon1613
You’re spot on. Disney is more worried about pandering to their diverse overlords than making good content.
Oh you must mean the Democrat party and their masters.
The only possible reason I could think of why they did that budget for Kenobi is the fact that they knew they have the big names and knew people would flock to watch the show no matter how dead the script maybe. This meant that theoretically they would make a massive profit
The movie script was actually quite decent. Sadly it got scrapped.
They couldn't give a budget to a show with a white male lead
As Tim Burton said, "Disney is only interested in making money than making actual art."
Tim Burton is also the guy who is currently making Beetlejuice 2 nearly 40 years later, and the guy who directed the live action Dumbo...for Disney

I have always respected the fact that you took a more moderate approach to Star Wars, but I feel that what has been done to Star Wars deserves no middle ground. People need to stand up to the lack of care and quality that Disney has shown Star Wars. I'm glad Theory is finally letting loose. I could tell he was holding it all in.
Imagine spending years creating a successful Star Wars YT channel & getting undermined by gross mismanagement of the franchise.
While the middle ground would be that its absolutely terrible. With only a little bit of good

Star wars theory really really tried his best to enjoy the new content. And gave it more credit than it deserved. This is wild!
Wtf, Andor was the least boring Star Wars since Disney bought it by far
You can tell pretty much everything you need to know about a star wars fan judging by their opinion of Andor. People like Theory that call it boring have no appreciation for good writing and world building and only care about fan service cameos and lightsaber duels. How anybody that calls themselves a star wars fan could be bored by Andor is beyond me. Seeing a grounded story about the rebellion with incredibly interesting characters like Luthen is something I always wanted from Star Wars.
@@JdubayouThat’s not true at all! Theory is an OG Star Wars fan; a fan of Lucas’s Star Wars. So not only does that fact somewhat separate him and the older fans to the newer fans but it means his expectations for Disney Star Wars are different from your views and opinions.

The fact that Disney destroyed any chance of Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2, and 3PO to be together one last time hurt more than anything else they’ve done. They have purposely torn down one of the greatest movie franchises ever and it makes no sense whatsoever.
Not really, only while disney has it. Lucas said himself that shit aint cannon. So really, if Disney makes Star wars not cross a profit threshhold, than within a year at the earliest everything could change.
Disneys current contract on star wars only runs till 2024
Out of all my numerous issues with the sequels I almost forgot about that. It seems so obvious to do that and yet they just couldn't even give us one scene. All of them are literally non factors in the story and are horribly written

Star Wars was dead the day The Last Jedi dropped. That was the literal death of Star Wars. Anyone who has been watching it since is part of the problem.
Kenobi should have been an Emmy-worthy show. Darker, dramatic, character study with action sprinkled here and there, each episode with a flashback to prequels-era and related to the theme of the episode, with Kenobi slowly regaining his connection with the force and have Darth Vader in parallel hunting Jedis with the Inquisitors. You can even have some side plots with Cody hunting Obi-Wan to finish the job, Kenobi and Owen drama, Vader being ruthless, Palpatine stripping even more of Vader's humanity, etc.
They had the perfect recipe for an amazing show, all the returning characters, all the stunts coordinators to make dope choreographies, EVERYTHING!! And they just threw it all into the trash.

I never cared that disney bought it. Same with Marvel, its not hard to understand a product you just bought..or at least try, but once this Feminism woke racial crap started to come into these shows and movies I lost faith. Specially when it became a priority over Budget/Writing/Directing/acting and literally everything else.
KK can get fucked and needs to stop being the main person who makes decisions.
The tragedy is that Bob Iger is leading Disney and didn’t give Lukas a Pixar deal.
Nah it's kk
Andor was the most consequencial piece of worldbuilding SW has received since Disney's purge of the EU. Seeing fans calling It "boring" makes me think that maybe we indeed have a problem with the fandon on top of all the internal Lucasfilm issues. Star Wars is way more than Jedi and action, but some people seem to reject anything that does not include planet killers and lightsaber duels.
There’s an irony to all of this. - Not being willing to pay writers nor give them time.
Give them a hut, endless material to reference their writing to and a couple of years to write, and you won’t have to compensate tens of millions in effects for bad writing.
It’d be significantly cheaper just to do it right. And it’d earn them more simultaneously.
The problem is that these “writers” are the shittiest writers in the history of cinema. That’s why I was always so amused by the writer’s strike. They have no talent. They suck.
Don't buy that write strike crap. Those writes screaming poverty are making 180k a year. The range is $120k to 500k a year. None of them are poor. They are all spoiled ahats. Remember the strikes is recent. They have been making crap for years.
The main problem is Bob Iger keeps promoting Kathleen Kennedy, she should have been long gone.
Nearly everyone, including Theory, is getting this wrong. Disney IPs suffer because their studios are ran by narcissists that don’t love the product and they give projects to directors that fit their viewpoints to promote their vision or handed to someone that is inexperienced or incompetent.
Filoni, the man that was believed to save Star Wars, is largely the latter (incompetent) but has streaks of the former (narcissistic).
Nearly everything of the painfully slow plot of Ahsoka reveals he doesn’t understand live action filmmaking storytelling or pacing, he can’t direct an actor in a scene as well as a voice actor in a studio, he doesn’t understand how governments or militaries work, he can’t convey the genius intellect Thrawn is purported to have, and he thinks his original characters are far more important on the galactic scale than they are. Luke Skywalker would’ve been a much better fit to be a driving force in this show, but that doesn’t fit Filoni’s vision of Star Wars. In his mind, Ahsoka is the undying, unifying figure of the Skywalker timeline.
What a travesty. Filoni is the best of the worst. Star Wars is dead.
don't forget that they like to hire activist as writers.
The the biggest frustration I have with Disney's star wars is how tone deaf they are. I have never seen a company be so incompetent about what it's fans want, and then spend millions of dollars to put out a movie that no one wanted, and wonder why it failed. You can't just sacrifice literally everything else in the movie to be "diverse." You've destroyed the reputations of your legacy characters, and you didn't give any depth to the new ones. The force awakens actually had a TON of promise, there were a lot of things they could have dived deeper into after that. Kylo Ren could have actually struggled with killing his dad, where the act ends up having the opposite effect. Rey could have struggled with the idea of who her parents were and struggled internally with wondering why they abandoned her. Luke could have seen the darkness in Kylo and tried to do the same thing he did with Vader, but ultimately fail, and not be able to live with his failure. Leia could have had an arc with her son where she tried to bring him back and ultimately became a martyr to try and bring him back and he realize what he's done after it. Finn could have had an arc with him struggling to deal with the things he did as a storm trooper and have it ultimately end with him having to confront Phasma. The sequel trilogy could have had a story with themes of Identity and your Heroes still being human. It could have been on par with the prequel and original trilogy in terms of themes and storytelling. Instead we got "Somehow, palpatine returned."
Thank you for speaking out. It makes me feel better to know that real Star Wars fans have similar feelings about what has happened to the franchise since the company was sold to Disney. One day everything will change, we all hope so desperately…

I'm 52 years old, and I've been a fan of Star Wars since the original movie debuted way back in the 70's. If life has taught me anything, it's taught me that nothing lasts forever. It's also taught me that there comes a time when you simply have to let go of things that you once called your own. The Star Wars that I grew up with is now dead, and now, I think I'll simply try to do what Yoda taught..........
"Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is............."
I always wanted to know… how does it feel to be 52 years old? Or 50 years old in general?
I’m 26, and I’m beginning to feel „old“. The youthful flame starts to diminishing, getting faster a beard and need way more sport than 4 years ago.
Maybe a weird comment from my side, but letting go is a universal lesson and maybe the most important in life.
Because I’m sure, at some point i also need to let go my older body and accept my new older one. Same goes for my psychological state .
You really gave it a chance. You were far more gracious and patient than you needed to be, but you can only take so much before reaching a breaking point.
Worst part is I think they're so far down the hole, I don't think this ship can right itself anytime soon.
The only option to great Star Wars return back is to Disney sell Star Wars to some smaller company that is more passionate about making great Star Wars movies, than to show political ideology to please your Blackrock investors. Disney has focked up Star Wars and Marvel so bad with their greed, that they arent making any profit from them anymore and propably needs to sell thoese companies then. They were stupid enough to not realize that showing your political ideology in your movie dosent sell at all.

Of course she doesn't understand Star Wars, but I think the whole problem is Disney and Bob Iger meddling, trying to mold Star Wars into an authentic Disney franchise, which it's not.
The Kenobi show was literally a home run for Disney. You had Hayden and Ewan back ready to act their asses off and they still fumbled it. Gives me 0 faith in their future projects.. and don’t even get me started on the book of bobba lol.
I feel you Theory. Personally, I've reached the point of apathy. It's gotten to the point where I can't even enjoy the shows in isolation because all roads lead to the Disney Trilogy. I can enjoy things that happened before, i.e. Clone Wars or Rebels. I still think Tales of the Jedi has been the best thing Disney Star Wars has put out. I also think Filoni isn't this big saviour people make him to be. He's fantastic at telling animated stories, but he gets seriously exposed as a writer and filmmaker when it comes to live action. I think they need to time jump 500-1000 years in the past or the future and bring us new stories. Clean slate, where the Skywalker name isn't a thing.

Watching the show you literally could SEE the lack of quality. Based on the soundtrack of the show you could hear it too 😔
Exactly my thoughts too
In Andor’s defense, it had twice as many episodes as Kenobi and many more moving parts. Clearly this shows us that you get out what you put into these projects. My assumption is that the higher ups at Disney EXPECTED diehard fans to watch Kenobi solely for the love we have for those characters and decided “screw it, 90 mil budget will be good enough.” Clearly it wasn’t good enough if fans are this disappointed now.
No they need to move on with them
You could clearly see who was an A list actor like Ewan, Hayden and a few others while a lot of them seemed to be not very good at acting or the very least put a barely convincing performance
The problem with Kenobi became apparent in the interviews when a random actor was sitting in between the two stars of the show. Why they would try to insert a new character between Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi is to this day completely baffling!
Because it cant just be about 2 white men, duuuuh.......
Diversity is the reason

They are doing focus groups, but with the wrong people. They are trying to appeal to non-Star Wars fans who weren't going to watch anyway. What they need is to focus on the fans. George was better than this, but let's not pretend he was perfect.
Disney is in fact destroying it. They don’t care about fans. All they care was to cash those checks, while destroying the Star-wars brand. So painful 😓
That’s how I felt watching the prequels
Don't forget spreading *THE MESSAGE*
Growing up in the 2000's i remember seeing all 3 prequels in theaters, and it was a big deal. These films would come out 3 years apart and the whole world would recognize a new Star Wars film hit theaters. The last time I got that feeling was with The Force Awakens and Rogue One, after it became apparent that Disney would be "Marvel MCU'ing" content frequently, the spectacle wore off, I'd say The Last Jedi/Solo combo was the death of that "Star Wars feeling."
I don't think the issue is so much that it use to be an event and greater time elapses as it is that they made a boring story made for modern times trying do the female empowerment stuff like they with everything these days. Its just so hard for them just accept some shows core audience are men. Why do you think Barbie was such a big hit. They catered to their actual audience. The people that want to see Barbie. Now imagine if they made that movie all about Ken instead. How would that not upset fans. Like they did with Masters of the Universe. He-Man was there for 2 episodes. After that, all female cast. Its insane how far they go these days with that.
@@rayfish007The movies having a female lead has nothing to do with it, if they were good movies with good characters people would like it irrespective of gender
@Alex-02 moot point. My point is they force it into literally everything now. Even if it doesn't fit. You have Netflix having viking shows with a black queen in charge of the vikings. Its an issue whether you want to admit it or not.
@@rayfish007 Yeah I agree that prioritizing diversity above historical accuracy or quality of a movie is a bad thing. All I’m saying is that diversity in itself isn’t a bad thing. It’s only bad because people are neglecting the actual important bits of a movie.
@@Alex-02 it's a problem when diversity is the priority and not the story. And they absolutely made diversity the focus of all the new Star Wars movies as with everything Disney made. If only people with the same level of dedication had worked on everything else made by Disney
Totally agree with you. I can't wait to see how S2 Andor rolls into Rogue One (assuming Disney doesn't undo all the good they have done in S1.. LOL)
It was the only true good besides rogue one weve got so far and its sad because the most interesting and unique thing about starwars is jedi and the sith
Not everyone’s going to agree, personally I agree with theory that Andor was boring and kinda pointless. But, they put care and effort into Andor that every other project lacked
Theory is just bitter about it. Andor is incredible and deserves none of the hate that he gives it. But because that's the show that got the real effort and the characters he likes got shit on he lashes out at the show for no reason. It's honestly childish, but I don't really blame him. I cant wait for season 2 to come out. Andor shows a side of Star Wars that we hadn't seen before and it was so refreshing. I was in a college class when we found out Disney bought Star Wars. Everyone thought I was crazy when I said they would literally ruin the entire franchise. They did.... its so sad because everything could have been so much better.
The only worth it thing in Kenobi was the conversation between Vader and Obi Wan.
Kenobi: "I'm sorry Anakan.... for all of it!"
Anakin: "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker... I did..."
That was such a chilling moment that made my hairs stand up. The rest of it could have been written so much better.
We had Andor, Rogue one, season 7 clone wars and Last Jedi, who the loud Majority HATE. But,t eh reviews on letteboxd and everywere else say different. Also, force awakens isn't hated either. Tales of the Jedi was pretty good imo, so was the Mando. Its just rise of Skywalker, book of bobba, seas 3 mando and Kenobi that bring Disney down. But to be real, if we give creativity bankrupt fan service like Ashoka, Mando s2 and Kenobi, Star Wars will just keep going down.
I LOVE that you are finally calling them out for the destruction of Starwars!! There are so many moments in all the Disney content that made me want to throw my TV out the window.
I wanted to throw my TV at this guy for being another consoomer... glad he's finally on board too. I'm sure he held out as long as he could trying to keep spirits high in hope, plus his channel is completely dependent on Star Wars fans being Star Wars fans... so can't really blame him much lol.. But the reality is if you have ANY standards for media, it's not a debate if Star Wars sucks now or not, it's why the fuck is Disney so disconnected that they're destroying something they paid 4 billion dollars for.... They could very easily make good star wars, all they have to do is hire a good writer and just a few people who actually know Star Wars, that's it. That's the recipe, hire a few people who actually care, but they refuse.

Star Wars has always been woke. The originals are an allegory for American imperialism. The prequels are denouncing the republicans party and how the right wing destroy democracy. Star WARS has always had diversity and been left wing and political. George himself is a fan of the Soviet Union. He also wanted to create a gay planet and Luke was supposed to be girl. People got paid millions of dollars and spent billions to make this trash
When Theory says “Why didn’t Dave Filoni and John Favreau get to do the ObiWan series?” I can tell you why.
It’s because LacasFilm under Disney is addicted to this trend giving the writing duties to the latest flavor of pop-culture filmmakers. They always hand it over to them like some bonus perk to pad their ego about getting to direct the film or show.
People with actual screenplay writing experience or Star Wars novels writing experience get completely ignored. And they don’t care that these filmmakers may have a very shallow understanding and appreciation of the lore (and sometimes also the characters). They don’t care that when it comes to writing some of these pop culture filmmakers can be outdone by amateurs and even TH-camrs with little or no budget.
They keep doing this over and over again! Like an addict who can’t see how their drug addiction is dysfunctional and ruining their life. Even when you show them and tell them as plainly as you can get.
They don’t get it. And Star Wars will continue to lose fans and money because of it. Star Wars will continue to suffer for it.
at least we still have eu star wars they haven't destroy that "yet"
You held on for so long trusting that things will turn around. Trusting that there was a greater plot behind it all. Truth is, Disney has no intention of turning anything around. All the theories and projections made by fans were many times more complex and interesting than what Lucas Films put out. All the women characters are smarter, stronger, and more important than all the male characters. That’s all they care to emphasize. They’ll throw in a couple morsels of nostalgia to stir up some noise on social media. But the truth is they don’t care about us the fans, they don’t care about Star Wars or what George Lucas had in mind.
Thats why ive stopped watching marvel theory videos as well. So many intricate complex theories that just get crapped on by basic story telling and disappointment.
It’s not that Disney doesn’t know what they’re doing, they just know they can take the financial hit if it means pushing their personal agendas
Maybe mass propaganda is what they’re genuinely trying to push. They’re forcing quite a bit on their audiences. Wouldn’t you want to appeal to the majority when creating a movie? That way you sell more tickets? It’s weird that they’re pushing against the grain while they would make a lot more money by just making a good plot that’s obviously not politically oriented

this is shared amongst thousands and thousdands of us...and the fact that this is standard for the fans who supported Star Wars since the 70's is disrespectful. Those at Disney who crunch the numbers to draw in audiences that can feed their machine better with stuff like She-Hulk is why they receive the negativity. Find better writing and directing talent. Not most of these jokers. Put Kathleen on the back burner ffs. Put Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni in the hot seat that Katheleen sits in for a while...watch what flippin happens...and Disney can walk to the bank wringing their hands in gratitude.
Maybe just Favreau. Filoni wrote and directed Ahsoka and that’s about all I needed to see.
Star Wars ceased to exist the day George Lucas sold it to Disney, a propaganda empire. Disney wants to get rid of everything "old", just like Mao's *_"Four Olds"_*
I think Filoni is incredible, but the Ahsoka show was not his territory, I think he should keep working in his strengths, with animated series. I adore them, they’re written very well and the animation looks incredible, they deserve more respect for sure, although I guess for Disney the “money” is in live action so who knows 😢

The ignorance was that they thought they could slap the Star Wars brand on any POS and it would rake in the cash. They thought they could stick their crappy characters in the Disney parks and it would make money. They thought they could build a hotel and it would make money. Soooo wrong. It feels like sabotage.
You know what theory? We needed this video and personally I can appreciate you so much for having shared how your really feeling about Disney starwars. Like you’ve said many times there’s so many people who act like because you have the biggest starwars channel that you have to be “kind” or “respectful” at least of everything Disney makes and saying things you don’t like under that guise. That’s at no fault of your own people just demand too damn much all because you are a big creator. I do think (and you mentioned it here) that given your massive platform, realistically going forwards it would make the most sense on behalf of yourself and the fans to say what you really think. If you like something, dope. If you don’t, I think there’s plenty of ways like in this video you could shred it apart without being disrespectful to anyone. I think most of the community already has their opinions on you whether they love you or hate you. The ones that love you are here, we hear you, some agree, some don’t. But ultimately the fans that truly want to stick by you will whether we agree with your takes or not because your just a real fan like the rest of us, just happen to have a massive platform. I’m proud of you for opening up to your true thoughts on Disney starwars. I’ve been following your channel for about 6 years because even when Disney starwars hasn’t been good, you have pulled from all the best times of starwars and made so many cool videos that I along with many others love. Keep going Theory, positivity or negativity it doesn’t matter, your fans support you. Always.
I can agree with most of the points here. I personally really enjoyed Rogue One and Andor, and their focus on the wider world of Star Wars rather than the most important characters and plotlines. But the problem is that Andor got all the budget while Kenobi just got shafted. What a joke of a company. Ewan and Hayden, and the characters they played all those years ago, deserve so much more respect.
The people in charge now basically want it to fail. It's like Vince McMahon in WWE was with wrestling stars he didn't create or like. "We're gonna book the guy to not succeed, he's not gonna succeed, and then that will prove to me he can't succeed."
Hey, at least we got something good
Andor unironically the best star wars content produced in a generation
@@jacob2808 I agree. It's the best star wars thing ever created since revenge of the sith.
@@SpacenoidCentral Andor got twice the amount of episodes and Kenboi was always going to be a disaster there is no way you can write in Vader meeting Kenobi before the death star and not make it seem like forced fan service. That project was always going to fail.
I feel your pain. Now join me against Kathleen Kennedy and the Dark Side of Disney.
Andor got a high budget because it used actual location sets instead of just sound stages and the Volume. Therefore it needed the budget to cover the travel costs, local set construction, location shooting fees and security, and everything else related to filming outside of a studio lot.
mando s1&2 had a combined smaller budget than ander and it was infinitely better. i don’t think traveling to locations justifies the higher budget costs.
@@benjaminmartindalelol what? I love s1 and s2 of Mandolorian but Andor was better by a mile. It does justify it because when it comes to star wars they need to be cinematic. It actually felt like Star wars because of the set locations.
Andor had a larger budget because it was so slow they needed to pay more people for longer
@@IndigiAutisi I'm with you - Mando 1&2 were fantastic, but Andor was freaking awesome. I don't know where SWT gets the idea that it is just arty for the sake of art. Total BS. Good productions don't have to be super suspenseful. Yes it was slow and that's what one of the things that made it great if you're willing to see it as something different from the rest
GEORGE LUCAS BUILT IT IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!
I was a die hard fan my whole life. Read 16 Star Wars novels, seen all the films, bought the toys, played the video games etc. But NOW? I don't care about it much anymore. Disney ruined it. Facts.
same, such a sad state.
Same bro i even played SWoToR
Andor is a fantastic show for anyone who demands more than just mashing action figures together
I feel so bad for Hayden and Ewan that they always come into projects that get massive hate
Lucasfilm tend to generate that reaction. People hate Han, Luke and Leia never appearing onscreen because they didn't want to awaken the kraken of their popularity...
Only they didn't realize, they were already popular. And denying the audience what they want is a surefire way to incurring the audiences wrath.
Sadly Ewan has toed the LF party line and as a result I'm happy to shoe off the series and all of LF's content into alt canon under the KKfilm banner. If KKfilm is the 3rd era of Star Wars then the 4th cannot happen soon enough.
And South Park might have actually got the ball rolling on that front. It may be a pebble, but it's the first meaningful pebble cast KK and Disney's way in a long time.
Blame videos like this
@@Darthjarjar42069Nah. It's the content itself. SW Theory has tried to like Disney garbage more than most. I can't blame the guy for finally being fed up.
Either you like what Disney has made or not, but they definitely had a good time making this shows and they know now how much fans love them
It looks like the fans love the actors, it's the show's writing and quality everyone is rightly unhappy about.
I still feel like there was no story there. Obi-Wan went under the radar to oversee Luke from a distance. There were no more confrontations between him and Vader. Vader had every incentive to never return to Tatooine.
