Kung pipili kayo ng strand, make sure that you know how to handle people even your classmates. I entered this strand not knowing that all of my classmates are toxic. You better make sure that being in HUMSS needs to have that sense of empathy, respect, and understanding toward similarities and differences. I'm really confused what strand to take in SHS.The only thing I'm sure of is that I wanted to major in psychology but I saw a blogger who's currently a BS psychology student and adviced her viewers to take STEM better than HUMSS.I am going to enter SHS this August 2022 so I hope if anyone sees this,please give me some advice, thank you:)

HUMSS is the track that I'm planning to take in shs, i love writing, i also find activities that requires expressing my opinions about specific things to be interesting. I like voicing out my opinions, i used to speak infront of a mirror and pretend that I'm socializing or emphasizing my point to someone.Although I'm only an incoming grade ten student, this decision is already causing me a lot of concern and hesitations. I'm lacking out of confidence,too shy for this strand. Even though i have a lot of thoughts and opinion in my mind, i always end up saying less specially when it comes to recitations. I could've done more but my low self esteem is contradicting,kinda saad huhu. I want this but it makes me nervous. Hearing those words...'performance', 'debate', 'presentations', and more makes me wanna step back :'((

Everything in this vid is on point! Graduate na ako ng HUMSS pero na-miss ko kasi shs kaya I'm just reminiscing hehe. I'm an introvert pero sa HUMSS, kumapal mukha ko and mas nagsspeak out na ako ng thoughts ko lalo na about current affairs! We did A LOT of writings, community services, and performances. Little by little, this strand will make you a Humanista! I'm now a BA Political Science student in a well-known uni and HUMSS made me prepared for this! I had classmates who only took this strand because there's no Math. Boy, they are wrong! We do have Math and in addition, lots of paperworks and outreach programs. Now, some of them didn't get their desired course because their strand is not aligned to it (Though some unis don't care about what your strand is) or they're now taking up additional subjects for bridging. Proud HUMANISTA here! for those who planning to take HUMSS in shs good luck! i-enjoy niyo lang at mahalin niyo lang yung pag-aaral niyo at hindi kayo mahihirapan. :)) yes may math ang HUMSS hahahahah, medyo na scam din ako charot. Handa lang kayo dapat sa maraming paper works (tho lahat naman ng strands and part na din ng pag-aaral) exciting ang debate promise mukha lang mahirap (pero mahirap talaga HAHAHAHA) marami ding oral performances like public speech, report presentation,etc merong group activities, written works, ESSAYS etc etc. but all in all, masaya siya dahil marami kang matutunan. So yun lang sana sa mga mag HU-HUMSS diyan wag niyo isipin na mahirap, mahalin niyo lang at mapapadali lang siya sa inyo promise. :)) anw good luck again!!!!
Bukas na po enrollment dito sa amin na pre pressure po ako skl. HUMMS po ang aking kukunin at kinakabahan talaga ako baba kase ng confidence ko at tsaka shy rin ako. Pero ito talaga kukunin ko, lalakasan ko nalang loob ko at tsaka susubukan kong pataasin ang confidence ko. Isa lang masasabi ko kailangan ko ng taong magsusuporta sa akin, kailangan ko ng support! Wala naman kaseng may pake dito sa akin sa bahay, hindi nila ako sinusupport hyssst.
Nag 50/50 tuloy ako sa HUMSS pero go nalang better to take the risk than doing nothing. And it's okay if you're not that "ready" to go with HUMSS because the reason why we go to school is to learn and improve. It's just an insentive/advantage if you already know/have the intelligence and talents needed in this strand.
I chose HUMSS because I want to be a writer, I don't know if it's labeled as fiction writer but that's how I want to be or what I want to achieve. Na-hook ako sa creative writing and when I entered HUMSS I was quite overwhelmed at first. I didn't expect that we'll be having a lot of specialised subjects. Pero ngayon, I'm getting used to it.
@@crybaby5564 I just tell to you my experience in HUMSS, at first i thought this strand is difficult one but my thoughts was wrong, This strand gaves me to study harder. You expecting have a lot of paper works such as doing Essay, Reflection Paper, Your opinions, reports, etc all in all you need to have a critical thinking skills but like i said it's not that difficult if you focus on study and remove your shy personality and much better you should participate in every recitation it helps you a lot. I'm incoming grade 12 and I don't have any regrets from this strand because I want to become a lawyer someday and I want to improve my thinking skills like reading and writing. Other I've been experience is that you need to understand all the lessons provide your teacher so that you are prefer every time.
before i was thinking of going to STEM because i was interested in anatomy and biologic studies but i realized the career i want does not align with it but instead with HUMSS and after watching this video made me realized that all of the topics that i love discussing with my friends with culture, people and psychology is all in one strand and it is aligned to the career and job that i want in the future. thank you for this very informative video.

After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback. Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.
Me too. But it's quite late for me to change as being blindly chooses the HUMSS as my strand. And I regret picking the strand without knowing about the grade 11 strands first.

Pero namomoblema parin ako sa social skills ko, I am socially awkward and I have social anxiety but now that I've watched this video I can prepare myself to whats about to come. I’m a grade 9 student as of now and I wanna be a Psychologist in the future but as soon as I realized that psych is part of HUMSS I feel nervous, while watching this video I found out that you need to socialize with people and spend more time with your classmates (which I’m really scared about) because I’m an introvert person. I’m actually interested in HUMSS though so I think it’s much better to conquer this fear and never let this kind of mindset ruin my future. Anyways good lock to me when I go to senior high which is 2 years more from now, FIGHTING!❤️

Ngl, I was apprehensive that my English skills (in any aspect of it) is not adequate enough. I have been pressuring myself to become a better: speaker, writer (both academic and creative) and listener. I am still afraid that I might be incompetent. For 7 whole months of exerting my energy to reading multiple topics, I have been burnt out. I'm not satisfied to my current level right now. I hope I won't embarrassed myself in this strand and actually make me grow as a person, both intellectually and mentally.

Stuck between HUMMS at ABM talaga ko. :< Gusto ko talaga mag HUMMS kasi gusto kong pasuin yung sarili ko sa bagay na kinakatakutan ko, may pagkamahiyain din kasi ako. Interesado talaga ko sobra sa mga topic na pag-uusapan at pag-aaralan sa HUMMS. Makuda ako pagdating sa mga opinions andami kong thoughts, pero in written ko lang naieexpress lahat like through essays. Kaso magtitake ako ng ABM sa kadahilanang gusto ko ipursue yung accounting. Tatahakin ko muna siguro yung ABM at kung marealized ko na di para sakin ang accounting, magtitake ako ng psychology course in college.

Graduating po ako in junior hs and stuck po ako between humms and stem. Gusto ko po sana mag humms kasi mahilig ako mag observe ng mga tao and feel ko marunong ako magsalita kaso napaka baba ng confidence ko like ni-hindi nga ako maka maintain ng eye contact sa mga tao kay nagdadalawang isip din ako. Stem din ang second choice ko, nakakaloka lang talaga yung reason ko kung baket stem, mostly kasi sa classmates ko mag stestem and as an introvert na gusto mag humms pero mahiyain naman at hirap makipag kaibigan natakot ako, kaya nilagay ko as second option ang stem kahit na wala ang math and science sa hilig ko. Gustong-gusto ko po talaga ang writing, but I just shy a little bit nervous. I'm a filipino writer pero hindi po ako nakatungtong sa college. And gusto ko din mas maging magaling sa english kasi, minsan ako ang tinutunan ng pansin ng mga co-writer ko o maging basher ko. Like, mali ang grammar ko, lagi nilang pinu-point na HS lang ang natapos ko. Then, I decide na mag aral muli habang nag-wo-work as a writer at maging HUMSS, gusto ko madagdagan ang kaalaman ko sa english at sa pag gawa ng akda. Sana'y pumasa nga din ako makapal naman ang mukha ko pero, bulol naman ako sa english. I'm a hardcore introvert with bits of insecurities but humss makes me excited✨ maths and numbers doesn't really interest me that much but people's behaviors do! So I'll take the strand and see how I do💁🏻♀️

HUMSS is the track that I'm planning to take in shs, i love writing, i also find activities that requires expressing my opinions about specific things to be interesting. I like voicing out my opinions, i used to speak infront of a mirror and pretend that I'm socializing or emphasizing my point to someone.Although I'm only an incoming grade ten student, this decision is already causing me a lot of concern and hesitations. I'm lacking out of confidence,too shy for this strand. Even though i have a lot of thoughts and opinion in my mind, i always end up saying less specially when it comes to recitations. I could've done more but my low self esteem is contradicting,kinda saad huhu. I want this but it makes me nervous. Hearing those words...'performance', 'debate', 'presentations', and more makes me wanna step back :'((

Everything in this vid is on point! Graduate na ako ng HUMSS pero na-miss ko kasi shs kaya I'm just reminiscing hehe. I'm an introvert pero sa HUMSS, kumapal mukha ko and mas nagsspeak out na ako ng thoughts ko lalo na about current affairs! We did A LOT of writings, community services, and performances. Little by little, this strand will make you a Humanista! I'm now a BA Political Science student in a well-known uni and HUMSS made me prepared for this! I had classmates who only took this strand because there's no Math. Boy, they are wrong! We do have Math and in addition, lots of paperworks and outreach programs. Now, some of them didn't get their desired course because their strand is not aligned to it (Though some unis don't care about what your strand is) or they're now taking up additional subjects for bridging. Proud HUMANISTA here! for those who planning to take HUMSS in shs good luck! i-enjoy niyo lang at mahalin niyo lang yung pag-aaral niyo at hindi kayo mahihirapan. :)) yes may math ang HUMSS hahahahah, medyo na scam din ako charot. Handa lang kayo dapat sa maraming paper works (tho lahat naman ng strands and part na din ng pag-aaral) exciting ang debate promise mukha lang mahirap (pero mahirap talaga HAHAHAHA) marami ding oral performances like public speech, report presentation,etc merong group activities, written works, ESSAYS etc etc. but all in all, masaya siya dahil marami kang matutunan. So yun lang sana sa mga mag HU-HUMSS diyan wag niyo isipin na mahirap, mahalin niyo lang at mapapadali lang siya sa inyo promise. :)) anw good luck again!!!!

baba kase ng confidence ko at tsaka shy rin ako. Pero ito talaga kukunin ko, lalakasan ko nalang loob ko at tsaka susubukan kong pataasin ang confidence ko. Isa lang masasabi ko kailangan ko ng taong magsusuporta sa akin, kailangan ko ng support! Wala naman kaseng may pake dito sa akin sa bahay, hindi nila ako sinusupport hyssst.
Man I'm pressured. Self support, it's always crucial to support yourself since no one's doing it for you, and i hope you/we do good sa HUMMS!

Nag 50/50 tuloy ako sa HUMSS pero go nalang better to take the risk than doing nothing. And it's okay if you're not that "ready" to go with HUMSS because the reason why we go to school is to learn and improve. It's just an insentive/advantage if you already know/have the intelligence and talents needed in this strand.

I chose HUMSS because I want to be a writer, I don't know if it's labeled as fiction writer but that's how I want to be or what I want to achieve. Na-hook ako sa creative writing and when I entered HUMSS I was quite overwhelmed at first. I didn't expect that we'll be having a lot of specialised subjects. Pero ngayon, I'm getting used to it.

@@crybaby5564 I just tell to you my experience in HUMSS, at first i thought this strand is difficult one but my thoughts was wrong, This strand gaves me to study harder. You expecting have a lot of paper works such as doing Essay, Reflection Paper, Your opinions, reports, etc all in all you need to have a critical thinking skills but like i said it's not that difficult if you focus on study and remove your shy personality and much better you should participate in every recitation it helps you a lot. I'm incoming grade 12 and I don't have any regrets from this strand because I want to become a lawyer someday and I want to improve my thinking skills like reading and writing. Other I've been experience is that you need to understand all the lessons provide your teacher so that you are prefer every time.
before i was thinking of going to STEM because i was interested in anatomy and biologic studies but i realized the career i want does not align with it but instead with HUMSS and after watching this video made me realized that all of the topics that i love discussing with my friends with culture, people and psychology is all in one strand and it is aligned to the career and job that i want in the future. thank you for this very informative video.

I'm choosing between stem and humss kasi the courses that I want to take up in college are interior design and psychology. After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback.
Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.
Me too. But it's quite late for me to change as being blindly chooses the HUMSS as my strand. And I regret picking the strand without knowing about the grade 11 strands first.
I am a 10th grade student and currently getting ready for my future. I plan to take this strand in SHS because I've always been interested in learning cultures and literature for the most. Pero namomoblema parin ako sa social skills ko, I am socially awkward and I have social anxiety but now that I've watched this video I can prepare myself to whats about to come. Hopefully though I succeed in being confident in myself eheheh

@jianligangoso4073 Yes! I'm now preparing for Grade 12 and choosing HUMSS was a great decision. I've gained my self-confidence and now I'm slowly earning my skills in public speaking as well as talking to other people! 😄
I’m a grade 9 student as of now and I wanna be a Psychologist in the future but as soon as I realized that psych is part of HUMSS I feel nervous, while watching this video I found out that you need to socialize with people and spend more time with your classmates (which I’m really scared about) because I’m an introvert person. I’m actually interested in HUMSS though so I think it’s much better to conquer this fear and never let this kind of mindset ruin my future. Anyways good lock to me when I go to senior high which is 2 years more from now, FIGHTING!❤️

Ngl, I was apprehensive that my English skills (in any aspect of it) is not adequate enough. I have been pressuring myself to become a better: speaker, writer (both academic and creative) and listener.
I am still afraid that I might be incompetent.
For 7 whole months of exerting my energy to reading multiple topics, I have been burnt out. I'm not satisfied to my current level right now. I hope I won't embarrassed myself in this strand and actually make me grow as a person, both intellectually and mentally.

kinikilig ako na naeexcite. finally made up my mind. all the passion and skills I have, parang belong talaga sa strand na to. however, speaking in public talaga pinakaweakness ko. although, gustong gusto ko talaga syang i-enhance. parang yon nalang talaga yung naghohold back sakin para piliin yung humss. lalo na kung iisipin yung sistema ngayon. could have been easier kung bumalik na sa normal ang lahat. mas convenient as learning field. mas less scary harapin.

Grade 10 this upcoming SY , I'm stuck between Humss and Stem, but i see myself more in Humss cause i am a creative person, i like writing and humss offers the subjects i wanted to learn, I hope that it also helps me with my confidence and i wanted to challenge myself with that, problem lang sa stem is math, simula elementary ako i have problems even with basic math,

Gusto ko talaga mag HUMMS kasi gusto kong pasuin yung sarili ko sa bagay na kinakatakutan ko, may pagkamahiyain din kasi ako. Interesado talaga ko sobra sa mga topic na pag-uusapan at pag-aaralan sa HUMMS. Makuda ako pagdating sa mga opinions andami kong thoughts, pero in written ko lang naieexpress lahat like through essays. Kaso magtitake ako ng ABM sa kadahilanang gusto ko ipursue yung accounting. Tatahakin ko muna siguro yung ABM at kung marealized ko na di para sakin ang accounting, magtitake ako ng psychology course in college.
Nag enroll ako sa Humss... Actually medyo tamad ako mag research and then i hate math.... Pero i will push myself para mabago yung mga negative thoughts ko from the past.. I literally learn advance about this strand so gusto ko pa makapanood ng videos mo about sa humss para mas maging open ako sa mga pwedeng mangyari before kong pasukin ang mundo ng humss.... Graduating po ako in junior hs and stuck po ako between humms and stem. Gusto ko po sana mag humms kasi mahilig ako mag observe ng mga tao and feel ko marunong ako magsalita kaso napaka baba ng confidence ko like ni-hindi nga ako maka maintain ng eye contact sa mga tao kay nagdadalawang isip din ako. Stem din ang second choice ko, nakakaloka lang talaga yung reason ko kung baket stem, mostly kasi sa classmates ko mag stestem and as an introvert na gusto mag humms pero mahiyain naman at hirap makipag kaibigan natakot ako, kaya nilagay ko as second option ang stem kahit na wala ang math and science sa hilig ko. Now gulong gulo ako kung ano pipililiin ko hayss:(

You can actually go for BS Psych if you want. The units from STEM are very helpful for that.

Incoming grade 12 na po ako and I was looking forward sa community engagement naming but because of the pandemic I dont think we can't do that anymore. Excited pa naman ako Doon at Yun Yung ni lo-look forward ko this year. Sayang lang

Gustong-gusto ko po talaga ang writing, but I just shy a little bit nervous. I'm a filipino writer pero hindi po ako nakatungtong sa college. And gusto ko din mas maging magaling sa english kasi, minsan ako ang tinutunan ng pansin ng mga co-writer ko o maging basher ko. Like, mali ang grammar ko, lagi nilang pinu-point na HS lang ang natapos ko. Then, I decide na mag aral muli habang nag-wo-work as a writer at maging HUMSS, gusto ko madagdagan ang kaalaman ko sa english at sa pag gawa ng akda. Sana'y pumasa nga din ako makapal naman ang mukha ko pero, bulol naman ako sa english. Pero, kung debate at writing lang ay gustong-gusto ko talaga pero, tagalog lang at pamali-mali ako. 🤧 Sana'y makayanan ko po talaga! 🙈😊

Hello! po new subscriber here! ganda nyo po mag explain. Humss student po ako, kung wala Lang po yung pandemic nakaranas po sana akong gumraduate as a humss student. Lahat po ng sinabi nyo Danas kopo, na stressed nga po ako sa strand na Ito.😅 pero masasabi kopo na sobrang interesting ng humss at masaya po ako na natapos ko ang senior high na isa sa mga humss students
