I am an incoming graduate student from HUMSS and believe me when I tell you It is not an easy strand as you think it is. But also, grabe ang enjoyment ko dito. HUMSS Strand will bring out the best in you. It will make you have the confidence and of course, will make your critical thinking skills improve. Other strand are using formulas but in this strand gagamit ka din naman pero, majority of the time you have to think critically specially in reasoning and debates. Hindi sapat ang memorization lang. But all in all, nakakaexcite lahat ng subject dito! God bless incoming HUMSS Students ❤
Hi po,ask ko lang po if dapat din po ba magaling mag english pag pipili ng humms strand? Pag sa debate at public speaking dapat po ba talaga mag ingles? Naiintindihan ko po ang ingles pero kung ako na mismo ang magsasalita lalo na sa harap ng maraming tao nabablanko utak ko nawawala lahat sa isip ko at ayun nabubulol na ako sa ingles😥😥So ayun po ask ko lang salamat in advance.

I'm trembling in excitement. The more I listen, the more excited I become. Might sound a bit far-fetched but this strand is perfect for me! 😭 Reading, writing, speeches, impromptu speeches, public speaking, debates, all of these are my strong fronts! I'm also very keen on timely news because I'm a student journalist and politics, history, and cultures fascinate me. This is just perfect... I plan on taking Political Science for college then law after. Thank you for this wonderful video, just made my innate desire to take up this strand more firm. I'm so introvert sir , I can't talk to people in their front , but I heard a lot here in my place that if I want the strand humss I have to apply the confidence while speaking / performing in front of people , so I applied it ina apply ko sya step by step , nagsimula ako nong 4th grading na nang g-10 I prepared my self nalatalaga for this strand , and now 2weeks nalang , papasok na ako as g11 student , goodluck to me! 9:21 - 9:57 that's what exactly I want to hear!!! huhu sobrang dami kong video na pinanood before this and puro sinasabi nila na kailangan talaga ng makapal mukha and kung wala ka nun, mahihirapan ka lang. So i felt unmotivated haha pero THANKYOU FOR THIS!!! I will try my best to face my fear pagdating sa public speaking kasi ayon lang yung feeling ko nag sstop sakin i-take yung humss kahit na I'm really interested sa overall na pinagaaralan sa strand na to. I just graduated from grade 10 and i'm excited as hell! At first i wasn't sure if it's the right place for me but when they included psychology and literature together i knew right away that my passion was one step ahead of me! The only issue for me was the fear of social and my confidence.

And now SHS ALS pa rin po ako dahil malayo yung school ko po, mahal rin ang pamasahe at nag w-work rin po ako... I'm an incoming grade 11 student, and the strand that i will take is HUMSS. it was my first choice back then but since i want to take medicine in college, i am a little sad because STEM is not my strand.
ps: i actually wanted to take STEM but I'm afraid since I'm not good in math and the school with STEM strand is far from my home so they didn't let me.:

After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback.
Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.
Kaka grad ko lang I wanna take this strand kasi mahilig ako magbasa at writings pero kukunin ko to kasi goal ko maging military nurse sana kayanin ko to. 😄
