That’s the last thing on the list, weld the diff and full send after that. I know raceland suspension doesn’t get the respect it deserves but for what it is worth the car feels a billion times better, now I can imagine with an LSD. I’d say when you drift make it as if you went out for a swim not do what the titanic did and over do it unless you’re ready for all those bolts on the floor when you do decide to drive. Go for a dive instead and hit up the track.
lol that old go kart track in shawano is super sketch drifting especially that section where it goes downhill and a left turn right after haha i know from experience! Love the content cheers from G Bay
One thing I'd say about the readily available cars is that the E36 and E46 didn't come with an LSD apart from their M3 models so you're gonna want to weld that diff.
Yup, welding that diff will be the most cost effective way to get those cars going sideways. If you want to be fancy you can get a 2 way diff though ;)
@@Brunini46 according to forums only the E36 325i winter package from 92 and early 93 came with those so not even worth considering imo. And no E46 bar the M3
If you’re car makes a lot of mechanical grip I would not recommend starting with kendas in the rear. They are great drift tires but on my mustang they were too grippy for my first day out. I’m going to try them again once I tune my car for less mechanical grip tho
any jobs yall recommend for a senior students that want to get their hands on a 180sx? i kinda overthink alot on how people get their hands on these cars and i want to know what jobs they do
If it's for all experience levels you can still get out there! I would reach out to the event organizers ahead of time and let them know you are new. They might also know some other local-ish events for you! - Sam
I've seen them slide before but they are definitely a bit heavy. With a welded diff, bucket seat, working e-brake, and coilovers anything is possible! - Sam
I just wish in italy we had any kind of open drift day... It's depressing to find out that any combination of keyword you use on google will end up getting you slapped in your face with a freaking payed course... Than they complain if kids go around drifting on the road... (actually who am i kidding, here everyone drive a stock abarth 500 and call it a day)
Drifting is still a relatively "new" motorsport and continues to gain momentum all over the world. In the United States the last 3-5 years have seen a huge increase in the number of events. Hopefully it can start taking off in Italy the same way!
It's tough to maintain some consistency since you are getting whatever they have and might have different left or right tires. A lot of those tires are also old so they'll fall apart pretty fast after you get some heat in them. BUT...if they are free they are free!!!!!! - Sam
Ran my first drift season fully on scabs (used tires from a shop) and I thought it was the best because they were cheap or free, and I could light them up… this year I got morr adjustments and better alignment along with lots of ironman gen 2 and let me tell you.. it was a lot to get used to the massive grip change, but now that I’ve got it down the driving is so much more aggressive and I’m much more confident gaining speed and throwing it at walls. It’s night and day.
@@Maaaaaax-07 not true at all. Loose setups are much easier to drive than one that’s hooked up. Driving with grip will level up your driving and you’ll be faster. But yes it’s a huge advantage when competing which is a big reason I had to up the grip cuz everyone was walking me
As a professional, this is an excellent video with great advice. I will be showing it to my trainees. Good Job, Fitment Industries Team!

The important thing is definitely just getting out there!
MORE DRIVER TO DRIVER!!!
I love seeing the clips from my home town track USAIR in Shawano. Keep up the great content guys❤️🔥
Say hi to us next time you are out there! Sam has that two-tone S13 and is always down for ride-alongs!
This was actually super helpful, can't wait to start building my ride
Seeing myself in this video is sweet! this video is VERY well put together with excellent info!
Appreciate that!

Question: Is the 370z also a good stater car instead of the 350z?
Both of them are. just buy whichever one you can afford
Aboslutely! The reason I said the 350Z was because they are generally more affordable - Sam

This is actually really useful info. The video could do without most or all the meme clips, though.

i kinda overthink alot on how people get their hands on these cars
and i want to know what jobs they do
Times are different, 180sx use to be cheap affordable cars.
Now that's just not the case.
The only events for drifting near me are at WWT raceway and it’s for all experience levels. What ways not officially can I safely learn how to drift?

What do y’all think about the E39 BMW chassis??? If I were to weld my diff would it be good to drift?
I've seen them slide before but they are definitely a bit heavy. With a welded diff, bucket seat, working e-brake, and coilovers anything is possible! - Sam
@@FitmentIndustriesI’m definitely going to do that and see if this platform good :)
heavy and front steering/suspension isnt ideal
Great video!
Thank you!
i have question so i have some 17"x8" wheels and idk what size tire to put on them, i was looking at 215/45's but i dont know
That tire size is great for the size wheel you have. You could also move up to a 225/45 if you want a little more grip!
@@FitmentIndustries ok thankyou so much!!
can y’all make a vid on different styles of just luxury wheels i need help deciding on a good looking luxury style wheel
We can definitely look into it!
Left to go right
Unless you understeer and left keeps going left and then you panic and it keeps going left. I've been there 🙃 - Sam
This video is severly underrated tbh

Is your site down? I'm getting a "forbidden" error
It's not down but we have had some issues with international customers visiting the site due to some bot attacks 🤖

supposed to get 80'000 miles out of those, not 10 minuets.
the editing on this vid was kinda cringe tone it down a bit
Appreciate the feedback!
Spending money on tire for drifting ? Huh ? Just get old one from Garages ...
