Thankyou... you saved me hours of googling as I couldn't work out why my HD wasn't visible during a fresh install

    Hi Philip
Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. I have a Dell XPS 13 9310 and needed to reload the OS due to multiple issues. I could not have done it without your tutorial. I followed your instructions and everything was spot on. I really appreciate it!
    Regards
    Hilton

This is one of the complete tutorial to install windows 11 in Dell PC.
Also, lot of information is given w.r.t BIOS and meaning for most of the settings.
The most biggest issue w.r.t RAID settings and which drivers should be installed to overcome this.
Even the Dell support team told to switch to AHCI setting (2nd one).
    Thank you Philip.

Yeah I seen on the forums a good few people have issues with this on the newer XPS models and the only "solution" that seemed to work for them was to use AHCI...
The ones that attempted to load the SATA drivers had issues as they didn't navigate down to the subfolder containing the drivers (Microsoft should update Windows installation media so it checks in the folder and any subfolders for the drivers).

Thank you for the video instruction as it is not clear from Dell which "drivers" you do need from the extraction. I could not find anything online on this then found your video. This did work when followed your step by step. Tested working with a Dell 9320 XPS Plus

I have to say that Windows 11 runs amazing on this laptop! Both fan and coil whine noise are way less audible... while also having more performance. I highly recommend to disable memory integrity and core isolation though

Hello, I have a problem I would like to install windows 11 on my dell xps 9305 but I cannot find the f6 folder after the extraction? Anyone have a solution? Thanks 😅

Download Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-and-Application_88DXV_WIN64_18.7.6.1010_A05.EXE launch the setup and select extract, select the downloads folder and create a subfolder called f6. Go to f6, then production then Windows10-x64 then 15063 then Drivers and finally select the VMD folder.

Why are all the driver downloads EXE files? I have no words for how dumb this is. Looks like you need windows to install windows, but I don't have a windows PC. Is there a way around it?

I was getting daily comments about this on an old video I made on creating a Windows 11 Bootable USB using Ubuntu because Intel updated their zip files to exe only. The Dell Update packages are also exe only. I found that the Dell update packages could be unzipped using pzip but the Intel exe couldn't. I had to remove the old video and recreate it with the workaround: th-cam.com/video/uhyG6PedBck/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=PhilipYip
