What do y'all do with the quartz? I also love how much you talk about your mom and board gaming with her. I lost my mom 1.5 yrs ago and I miss her every day.
We clean it up using rust remover, then we take a few pieces and put it around the house for decoration. I think the clusters you can chisel off of rock faces are really spectacular for this, as they can be covered in dozens of points, while my wife likes the single points. The rest goes in our rock garden outside. Not the most useful treasure, but fun to find! I'm sorry about your mom. I'm sure the fact that you miss her so much means she was a special person you have a lot of great memories about
Oh yeah, I watched Bling Ring. At the end of the video I let people know it was recorded before vacation and posted after, with pictures of some of the quartz we got last week as proof. I do kind of wonder at people announcing the conventions they're going to way ahead of time.
