Just a quick look at the upgrades I've made to my Giant Revolt. Please leave any questions or comments you have and I’ll do my best to answer them. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought a brand new Advanced Pro 1 for $4K USD. It was a 2022 floor model and my timing and cash in November 2023 was perfect. I’ve changed handlebars (FSA F-Wing AGX), tires (47mm Pathfinder Pro), added storage, Redshift Pro Stem, went to a 165mm SRAM power meter crankset, Garmin 1049 directly from Garmin on clearance. Went with BBB gel bar tape. I ride on the road about 300 miles per month and I’ve started entering local club gravel races. Been a blast.
Thanks for sharing, I'm also upgrading my Spec Chisel 2022 bit by bit - the latest step are tubeless, narrower tires. Minus 250g per wheel! Tempted to get a carbon fork for the riding I do.
You've made some great changes mate. Don't worry about what others think or say. It's your bike! " Im not a weight weenie, I just like weighing things" That's what I tell myself 😂 Some black and white Supacaz style tape would look nice on that or a similar pattern. Match the black and white frame.
😂 I’m not a full-on weight weenie. I do like checking weights though. 😂 The bike is dark green and ivory not black and white 😂😂😂 That is exactly what I was moaning about in my previous video. Dark and a bit dull of a colour. Thanks for cheering me up!
I have the advanced 2 same year and made several changes. Bars- 42 FSA carbon gravel bars ergon gravel tape, 70 mm PNW stem, GRX wheels, GRX 170 610 2x crank. Tires of course change for each course Perrelli cinturato M or Scwalbe G-one RS. Enjoy the bike and your changes- Upgrading and personalization is part of the fun of cycling!
I was going to buy the Advanced 2 myself, but the week I went into the store Giant had just put their prices up. The advanced 1 price remained the same and there wasn't actually much difference in cost between the two bikes. The chance to experience electronic shifting swayed me towards the Advanced 1 and even then I knew I wanted the carbon post and not a dropper. Does the carbon post have any set back? What colour did you get, black or blue? Cheers!
I have a revolt advanced two great bike, I've changed the cadex wheels that came with mine to Hunt 40 carbon, saved over a kg but better still it's made the bike more responsive and agile,
Your Revolt is a neat looking bike. No need for a dropper for the type of riding you do. I'm considering a Revolt or Merida Silex. Thanks for the video I will check out your others.
I Have a Giant Fathom of 2017 vintage - All the so-called experts and experienced riders praise and bitch about various bikes - The difference between a 1 and 2 model and different years etc. - Chaps it's the components that make the difference. My Fathom frame is no different from a fathom 2 to a fathom 1 - All manufacturers knock out bikes cheaper with cheaper components, wake up chaps! - I love the frame geometry etc. - I upgraded to Shimano XT and a narrow wide tooth chain ring, never a chain drop! now I have an awesome bike! you get what you pay for! - I'm a Brit expat living in the Philippines, my Fathom is perfect for the condition of the roads here in the sticks, BTW I'm 71 and don't ride competitively; it’s my only transport, exercise and fun!

1kg is what a human being drops off when visiting a toilet so there is no use of such upgrades at all except having some placebo effect. Since the riding efficiency is measured in Watts per kg of a rider the only weight & fitness of the rider really matters.
Totally agree with your comments, some people are so full of putting aggressive negative comments who don't know what there talking about @@BikeLife154
