I love the Kitchen sink bars with top and bottom grips I have fitted on my Diverge! Rode it on my longest trip: Brussels-Sweden-Brussels in 2022 and its now my commuter bike - super comfy setup!
Yeah I also got one. Tho there are two things I disagree with after almost a year now: 1. The Aero loop needs to have a steeper rising angle against the Hood. Running it this horizontaly will strain the ankle because you need to twist them too much. Adjusting the Hoods further down to raise it relatively, gives them a goofy Up/Down position and defeats part of the backsweep, which is needed because: 2. The distance from the Bar until the Drop Curve begins is too long. So even with the backsweep reach is off 1-2cm in some cases, which means a shorter Stem. Which aint an option for bud in the vid e.g. If he goes gravel-wider ontop his fit will prolly be off, esp when his seat is already forward. Just a curious guess, having only watched to 04:02
@@Josh-Reid Nice. I ride a lot around that area and am Auckland based. There are a couple of good options, the Kennett Brothers do a good guide. Good gravel, wild and wooly, head out to Port Waikato then the gravel roads to Raglan, carry on down that side, a bit more civilised and less gravel, follow the Tour Aotearoa route through the Hunuas or Clevedon to Kawakawa Bay - take care with this route weekends at either end of the day... narrow road, lots of boat trailers! Looking forward to see where you head.
Hope you enjoy New Zealand. I'm Christchurch love getting out around Canterbury and the south island. Would love to offer any help if you needed when passing though.
Would the handlebars with the loop take aero bars as well? Might look a little funky but to me it seems worth it just for a higher position with shims etc.
Ride Far offers an "Arm Rest Kit V2" that is screwed on the bar. Been wanting to try em. If your Stack/Reach configuration allows it, these could be an option.
We will be following the Tour Aotearoa roughly on the north island but then take the sound to sound on the south I think. Which bike shop in Central Otago? That’s very kind of you.
I think the grease has angry chemicals in it. Eventually all bike mechanics get irrationally cranky about everything.
haha, I think you might be onto something

New Zealand has been on my list for a while. Once I finally get a new bike, and save up some money, I'll get to some real planning.
Enjoy yourselves.
Quad lock for the win! Have one in my commuter bike for ease of use, and got one for my partner's wheelchair so he can easily use his phone.
Thanks Josh , and Nic . That sounds like another adventure , to me ! Be well, rest
You bet 👍
Don't encourage him. What am I supposed to do for the next two months??

Very cool, my first though about your comment of the spotlessness is Ah he's coming to visit!
Are you able to give any further details...?
Head South from Auckland. That’s the current very vague plan.

Thanks for the suggestions. Too many options for one trip. Is it worth staying in Auckland for a few days or just getting on the road?
Was that a giant pannier rack? I have been looking for one for my revolt. Looks good.

That’s very kind of you. We will probably be in Christchurch at the end of January ish.
Are those mouning points really made for heavy weight? I thought only for mudguards?

Yeah they’d definitely fit aerobars if that’s what you wanted to do.
