So easy for some people to say Be Strong Girl, stay positive.....well everybody has their own way to express things and I respect that, and I have my own way to express mine as well but I really do not want and consciously tell myself to never say "God has somethng really good in store for u (TO PEOPLE WITH CANCER).....stay positive" NO....I just shut up, hold their hands if I can and try my very best to understand their pain and be with them in that moment.....My dad had brain cancer stage 4 ....my mom diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2 in 2013......so yeah. :''')
God has something amazing for you. Just like he did for me 3 years ago. I lost everything and I kept my faith through it all. If god had the cancer in store for me since my birth I wouldn’t change a thing of what happened. It’s easy to not trust when you’re not the one suffering. He kept me in my suffering he held me when I felt like I couldn’t go on any longer. Cancer at age 20 isn’t fun or at any age. Through all that I learned to forgive, to love and mostly that when he has a battle like this for you ya to make you stronger. If cancer couldn’t Beat me. What in the world can?
God Bless You. My hair started to fall out at work. I was humiliated and emotional...Somehow I managed to hold back the tears...until I returned home. It was as if I was having a out of body experience and made my cancer real. My friend has a hair salon and told me to call her when I was “ready”. She opened the shop up just for me. (She was on vacation when I called.) We had wine, listed to music and shared some laughs. Yes she made me laugh. Later on she styled a wig for me so it would look more natural. Keep good friends around as you go through this journey. Keep a journal of your thoughts, your ups and downs. Remember you are not alone. 10 year Survivor

my sister had long brown straight silky hair that went down to her butt..she had to shave it off when she was on chemo coz she was getting handfuls of hairfall every second..then her nurse helped her to shave it off..i still remember her tears when she saw her bald head in the mirror.. we r still keeping a little of her hair as her last memory..she died of blood cancer back in 2007...i hope no one ever has to go through this pain and lose..i pray there will soon be a final cure for cancer.

I'm a woman and the biggest factor to my low self-esteem is due to my excessive body hair! I believe my hair makes me look absolutely hideous! Friends have rejected and bullied me because of my body hair. You can see the appalled looks on people when I show my skin and it's the worst thing ever. I have PTSD over it. Ever since, I religiously cover myself head-to-toe even in summer. I reject physical activities I used to enjoy like swimming. I think I'll forever be a virgin because which guy would want to sleep with a girl more hairy than himself? He'll just be disgusted and leave me. And that's my biggest fear. My self-hatred toward my body hair is so psychotically extreme that I used to have fantasies about getting cancer because at least my hair will be all gone. Plus I'd have a higher chance of dying and I'm suicidal. Now that I think about it, those fantasies were very irrational and idiotic of me. I'm still suicidal to this day but at least I stopped wishing cancer on myself. In hindsight, it's very inconsiderate to people who actually suffer from cancer and I felt bad.
@@H0SANNA you could try laser removal, its kinda expensive but after some sessions hair can stop growing.

Oww it will grow back. My mum did chemo and she lost all of her hair. It’s terrible I went hairdresser with her to shave it off and I was so upset I was crying the whole thing thru and bless her she was so strong. She finished her chemo now 4 months ago and her hair is growing back. Plz be strong I wish u all the best 😘

Honestly saying be strong is going to get old to you so I wanna say stay positive. My friend passed away a few weeks ago and going to her funeral was one of the hardest things I had to do. When she was going through chemo I shaved alllll my hair off for her. It has grown back but she will always be in my heart. She was only 15 so please stay positive.

I did a blood test and I have vitamin deficiency in B12, D and Iron. You should do a full blood test and either change your diet or take supplements.

I donated my hair three years ago, and I personally think a bob or shoulder length suits me better, but I decided to grow it long to donate it again. Here in Israel you need 30 cm of hair and I decided to give it to Zichron Menachem, an organization that gives the hair to children.

I was improperly fitted for my Dignicap. The nurse placed a cap that was too small that it bubbled at the crown of my head and didn’t allow the cap to contact my scap properly. If there is little contact then it cannot properly cool your scalp. I am now wearing a size larger with extra straps to contact my scalp. Ultimately, I loss the hair on my crown and I was sporting a large bald spot. Honestly, it was silly to pretend like my hair style looked good. My current state of hair is buzzed. I will be posting that transformation soon.
You are right to prepare yourself to cut/buzz your hair. I suggest doing it before it becomes too unbearable. It can be emotionally taxing to watch yourself “fall apart”. Besides, it’s more powerful to take charge versus letting cancer take charge of you!
