NO. It didnt happen the same way and it is completely different! For one thing the numbers were only 142,000 cubans. This time 20 million people have entered in less than 4 years. That is a massive massive difference in numbers. With that being the case give me the 1980 marial boatlift anyday over the Brandon 20 million wave of criminals anyday.

Simply to win short term elections and gain political power, they haven't got any foresight of the destruction they bring to the country. Just like during WW-I the Germans sent Lenin to Moscow to start the revolution, so they could win the war against the Czar. They started the Soviet Union. Just like we paid Bin Laden to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan, and created the Taliban. Just like the British fought the French, and then the French supported the US in the Revolutionary war. The law of unintended consequences, the Democrats are destroying the fabric of the United States.

I grew up as a kid in Weehawken NJ, my family was the first Hispanic family to buy a house on the block I grew up in. My parents were very educated so they were excepted without too much hate and my grandfather quickly became loved by the entire block. It was all Irish and Italians in that and surrounding areas, when I left only 1 family was left there that knew me from when we first moved in and treated me like a son after parents passed. It was still a great block though they're was minor gang activities going on across the street they still protected the Block and had wives or parents that were hard working people so we were all friends. They'd look after my cars and my home when I was on tour with Punk bands even though we were into different styles. They had respect for the block and neighborhood they wanted better for their kids. The block and neighborhood actually is almost back to when I was a kid as far as being nice except a few areas ,things are completely different in some neighborhoods now like most of these people don't care and destroy and ruin everything. 🤷‍♂️

This is what happens when outsiders take a video of Queens and they know nothing. This area is way better than it was before, Sutphin looks crazy like that because those hotels didn't pan out. They're currently in talks to be sold to another developer but it's being blocked by the community board because some people want to keep it as housing for the lower income citizens. Because of the migrant crisis and the hotel not doing well, they have temporarily made it a migrant shelter of sorts but long term it wouldn't last because while the hotel owners are making money from it, they're not making enough to break even on their investment. Go up the block to the E train, its been gentrified over there. Sutphin and Archer was a drug den less than 10 years ago, just as filthy and even more smelly cuz of the fish market. This upscale development, while it pushes out the generations that have lived there has improved the neighborhood, you can walk 6 blocks to a Starbucks ffs. PLEASE IF YOU DON'T LIVE IN QUEENS, NY, MIND YOUR BUSINESS

This is absolutely nothing new to NYC or America for the most part. Before the Industrial Revolution, immigrants of all nationalities entered NYC/America and formed what we know as ghettos. Jewish, Russian, Irish, Polish, Italian, etc And now all those same groups are all thriving and living well. The issue is not The Venezuelan people, the problem is this broken system that doesn't have an infrastructure in place to properly facilitate immigrants but will do whatever it takes to benefit the economics for the powers that be, and or their political agenda. Until then the immigrants are here and left to figure things out just like those that had come before them. So blame all those in office no matter the political party because they all have an agenda when it comes to we the people, and 9 times out of 10 we will always get the short end of the stick. The only ones complaining about the immigrants are the poor people and those who have so much time on their hands to walk around Jamaica NY to videotape the misfortune of those who are currently displaced. You won't find not one wealthy person videotaping or watching and complaining, and do you know why? Because they are focused on increasing their wealth and not one immigrant is stopping that. Wake up People and stop falling for the folly! You are fighting the wrong fight! Also to whom it may concern, if you feel the need to debate this comment make real change and run, for President, or shut up and go debate your Mother! Capisce?
