I've lived on Shore Avenue (Dead End Street) off of Supthin Blvd. and then moved to Yates Road before moving to Saint Albans Queens.

I've been all over the different areas shown in this video because I used to live in Jamaica Queens from the age of 8 up until the age of 20 something and I've been back plenty of times visiting people that I know. When I lived in Jamaica Queens there was a Woolworth's on Jamaica Avenue. I miss those days. There was also a Restaurant named Big Daddy's on Supthin Blvd right off of Archer Avenue. I used to ride the Q6, 9, 60 and the 40 busses home. So much has changed over the decades. I was wondering what year this video was taken in.

When I lived in the Bronx, we'd go to 183rd to get weed. Now it looks like the place to go to get your hair cut. I counted 12 barbers and 4 nail salons over just 4 blocks on 183. The block between Morris and Creston particularly. Gotta be the peluqueria capital of the world. What's up with that? People's hair grow faster in Morris Heights or something?

I have news for the viewers, the down town streets of san francisco are more dangerous, more filthy and more rundown than these downtown new york streets, thats fact

This is actually my old neighborhood. Concourse and Burnside. Left in 1996. It's just how I remember it, except the new buildings. It was bad then, and I'm sure it's just as bad now, if not worse. I still have some friends that still live in the area there. Living in the city, you learn to grow up real fast, especially in these types of areas. Some things a child should not have to witness. The building next door was notorious. It is where Clarence Heatley The Preacher aka black hand of death would commit most of his executions in the basement. I vividly remember when the building was raided in 1995. Much love to the good people of the Bx. Alot of good people trapped in the system. I wish I was able to get my parents out, but they too stuck to their ways and the city system.

New York is barely recognizable. Looks and sounds like a third-world country now. SAD VERY SAD

I grew up in 94th Street and Roosevelt Avenue back in 1966-I was 5 years old back then. This was once a beautiful neighborhood. I am sad to see it this way. This is the problem with open borders.

Growing up, Jamaica Ave used to be that SPOT! You could find ANYTHING on the Ave. It’s so strange to see it this empty and so many storefronts shut down

I think I have PTSD from living in NYC for 22 years. I get anxiety watching these videos. Even thought there’s people all around, everyone is so alone and struggling just to survive. NYC is a depressing place, man.
