Awesome let me know if you need any help! My Instagram Instagram is tagged on my TH-cam channel. Feel free to send me a direct message. I try to be as detailed as possible, but when I got the wrong flywheel, and my daily was down filming, unfortunately became the second priority 😭
@pablosgarage707 completely understandable haha. If I have any questions I'll reach out. Gonna follow this fir visuals and the honda manual for anything else haha
The actuator you pointed out is actually a shifter actuator, they have springs on em that could be upgraded for future references, which is sold by hybrid racing.
I've have the springs needa throw them in I've done the detent springs and the shifts are very noticeable. I'd recommend those as well. I got cables too 😭 I'm just trynna get a short shifter before I throw the cables in
Glad it was helpful! I’ll have More DIY videos for the civic as time goes on and I do more part replacements. Eventually, when I move out of California, I’d like to do a supercharger that way I don’t have to deal with smog regulations etc… thank you for watching appreciate the support!
Hey man not to sure if you still post or do TH-cam anymore. I’m getting the fx350 installed by me and brother. Where are the exact issues you ran into? I skimmed through the video but my brother doesn’t quite have the patience. He thinks it’s an easy job, but he also did his Subaru where he had to pull the whole motor, and his 5.0. He said with all my tiny parts it’ll be a piece of cake. What do you recommend me picking up for extra help, and where will we struggle with the most you think? He’s a mechanic so he has to deal with axels and rack and pinions everyday, by other than that what do you recommend for making this job easier?
This Honda is one of the easiest clutch jobs. If he’s done the clutch in his Subaru, this civic will be no problem. There really was not anything that stood out from being insanely difficult.
I don’t understand the part about the wrong flywheel used. The wrong flywheel was for a kz24z7 with k20 6 speed clutch? Which clutch do you have and what flywheel goes with it.
Is draining the fluid absolutely necessary? This is the only vid I’ve seen that’s mentioned that. Ab to do this job today and wanna make sure I’m prepared.
Not necessary. I just did it because it was due to be changed. Also in the past on other vehicles I have left the transmissions full with fluid and when I layed them down they leaked out all over the ground. On the civic when removing the transmission it will most likely leak out of the input for the cv axles. I would drain to avoid making a mess
hey man just quick question, so i installed the same clutch kit i bought stage 2 with the oe hd flywheel kit. had the shop do it for me so driven the car back home 50-60 miles and car was parked for 4 days and this morning drove it to work and started to go on limp mode and its weird that it throws 2,3,4 cylinder misfired. Before clutch replaced everything was smooth and never had any issues. any take o guess in this? I nhave OE HD and came with the kit and the same you used.
It should not do that. With this flywheel you should be fine. My civic si had an issue if I accelerated it would go to limp mode. Ended up having a bad coil pack. It was at around 150k miles. Nothing in the clutch job should cause the miss. When’s the last time your car has had a tune up? What’s the millage on it?
my car is 113k miles and bone stock never been tuned. did my spark plug last year december but not my coil pack. should i get oem coil pack o from auto parts fine?
How much time you think is needed if you have all the tools already? Multi-day job? My 13 is making a rattling noise down there ofc can't hear it too good over the lifter tick i have but i think maybe the fork is loose, my clutch bites practically off half an inch off the floor(not sure if that's how it's adjusted or if the cable is stretched i mean i know it's gonna bite lower than my bros mustang but I'd like the bite to be a little higher than barely off the floor)
It can be done in an entire day. For me I got screwed due to having the wrong flywheel. I ended up ordering the correct one and got it done. That slowed me down drastically.
Will it fit for 2013 honda accord engine (k24wz1)Been researching for so long and came up in a website they saying that kseries are interchangeable clutch but i need help guys
It may however I think your accord is a five speed. I would call or email action clutch. I just checked on their website and I don’t see your accord available as an option :(.
I accidentally ordered that one. It was listed as oe hd however it was incorrect. I used this flywheel. www.kseriesparts.com/ACR-AC102-FFW.html identical to the Factory flywheel. No need to reflash weight is identical to stock.
You can actually do the whole job without dropping the subframe all the way, just drop it on the driver side and move the suspension as much as u can to the side and adjust as needed, ofc have support on the bottom of the tranny just in case but u should be able to rotate the transmission in the bay just fine
@@pablosgarage707I had to do it again cuz I got smacked by a drunk driver and my clutch went out, I dropped the subframe this time cuz it’s abt the same time, ima finish it off today hopefully 😂🙏
Watched this video about 4 times now LOL doing the clutch tonight appreciate the detail

I see. Awesome. Thank you for the information 👍Have you done the mod? I’m considering doing new cables and springs.

I got mines from acuity instruments, been riding great for about year and a half now.
Thanks for the helpful video with tons of useful info! 😁

do you know whats the part number of the original clutch. is it from excedy or other company>?

So basically you need a k24z7 clutch kit with a k20 flywheel? Also was the k20 flywheel oem weight? Did you had to tune the ECU ?

Agreed. For me I find it easier to just drop it and have all the room available to work with.
