Similarly not a huge fan of “Darkseid” at the beginning of the trailer, but to be fair, you can tell from the background that that’s from the flashback battle not present day. As a result, he’s not really Darkseid he’s actually Uxas before he gets the omega effect turning him into Darkseid
I just hope that he actually does become the legit Darkseid compared to them just saying hey lets just keep him like this as casual fans will have no idea what the difference is. As for one I want to see Darkseid in his actual armor compared to just being a grey shirtless mass. And the bigger reason is because last thing I want is him to just be wielding this massive club axe like weapon the entire film. As I have never once seen Darkseid actually wielding any weapons unless you count that one time he had the Infinity Gauntlet on for a brief moment. I want to see him using his Omega Beams and not just swinging around a boring weapon.

@@dreamchaser417 I hope so I can't say I have the most faith in Snyder as I wasn't a fan of BvS I liked parts of that film but not the film as a whole. Same with Man of Steel. I do think it will be much better then the mess of a Justice League we already got. But I can't say I completely trust him as Snyder seems to dislike a lot of the core concepts that make these characters great from the comics.

That's not a rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, that IS Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, as in the original one. The song holds sentimental value among Zack's family and was of particular significance to his late daughter, and since a big part of the Snyder Cut movement is honoring her legacy and supporting the AFSP that's why they used it in the trailer.

Edit: There are even more trees (at a different season) in the background of the Cyborg digging scene than the one at Clark's grave.

"Hallelujah" has special significance to the Snyder family in respect to the passing of Autumn Snyder. That mixed with the rejoicing of his cut actually being released is why he used the song. Also, it's a great song by one of the greatest songwriters of all time, so...

I'm guessing one of the Mother Boxes is buried there, instead of a body. He's digging up the grave to get the Mother Box. In the "Whedon Version" of Justice League, we never actually see Victor get the box. He just shows up out of nowhere with it. One of the many, many, many mistakes Joss Whedon made in his version of the movie.

Marvel and DC used to constantly take ideas from each other. They don’t care if you know lol
5:37 I think this moment of everything going nuts around Barry might be the moment he time travels successfully for the first time. Because if you go through the proper trailer frame by frame, you can see roughly 2 very quick frames of what looks like the Russian town exploding in front of him.
In earlier versions of the story, the Justice League were to be unsuccessful in stopping the Unity from happening, but Barry would travel in time very briefly and give them a second chance. So if the Snyder Cut is any similar to the 'Josstice League' cut, then Flash likely spends a lot of the final battle out in the town, rather that with the group. So what I'm thinking that shot is, is Barry trying to race back to save everyone from the explosion, but maybe he's too late. But because he's going so fast, maybe the resulting energy from the unity clashes with his speed force, and rips a hole in the spacetime continuum. But because he's so caught off guard, he stops running, and that's why he only goes back in time by a few minutes, rather than 20 years or something. If he'd kept running, he would've gone back way further.
If you watch the right hand side of the screen, and go through the shot very slowly, you can see what looks like yellow speed force lightning, rather than this Flash's typical blue. And also, if you go back and watch the BvS scene where Flash appears to Bruce after the Knightmare scene, the lightning coming from Flash's vortex is also yellow (it might be a very desaturated yellow, but it's definitely not blue at least). So maybe Snyder is using yellow lightning as a visual cue of Flash's time travel.
Crazy theory for just one quick shot in a trailer. But there's not a lot of movie trailers this year, and I miss all the online theory talk.

In the beginning, thats Uxas, its darkseid when he is younger and he doesn't have the omega effect yet, see how uxas looks in the comics, he looks odd, but after he kills some of the old gods, he becomes darkseid
I thought it was a younger Darkseid as well. Mainly cuz in that scene he's attacking the Earth decades ago, so it makes sense that he'd look way different in the present day

I remember seeing a lot of behind the scenes footage that’s showed many scenes from Justice league that were not in the final theatrical movie. Glad to see them back In the film and in the proper IMAX ratio.
Remember seeing the full IMAX scenes from the 2 Batman movies Nolan did and they look so different when you have to blow them up that big. Makes me wish I could have seen the dark knight in an IMAX theater when it was released but I live nowhere close to one.

@@GetAwayFroMe That "battle scene" at the start of the film takes place tens of thousands of years before the present day. So yeah... that is definitely an "incomplete" Darkseid. Otherwise, he'd have mopped the floor with even the Greek Gods and Green Lanterns. No one except basically Superman can touch "fully evolved" Darkseid in a fight.
I just hope Darkseid isn't using that dumb spear when he faces the JL. Darkseid doesn't need a flippin spear.

They already had the CG models and concept art for these characters made way back before the theatrical version of the movie’s release in 2017. 3. The same concept artist who designed Corvus Glaive also did Desaad.

I JUST noticed in the zoom-in over the JL building ruins, you can see Wonder Woman's shield and Aquamans trident! Zack mentioned in the past how during the "Nightmare" time, both WW and AM are dead. So the fact he added this lines up nicely.

It's my most-anticipated film of next year. I do love the theatrical version, but I knew it wasn't Zack's vision even when I saw it on opening night and a second time around two weeks later. I think this is going to be amazing, and I especially can't wait to hear Junkie XL's score.

Uxas is in the flashback history scene. He’s Darkseid when he appears at the end of the movie
People hated how dark the DC Universe was after getting all comfortable with the Marvel movies. Now people are actually looking forward to this dark vision, it is time for DC to embrace its true tone.
DC's true tone will always be Batman in a surfing competition with the Joker.

Seeing that Ben Affleck is coming back made me so happy. I can’t wait to see the Snyder cut I feel If it is well received we could be in for an interesting multiverse of movies.
I'll always have respect for Zack Snyder. Dude came on the scene and said "Oh hey, I'm gonna remake THE zombie movie." Not *one* of the best, not *one* of the most revered, I'm gonna put out a remake to THE Romero zombie movie and he made it work really well.
I'm not the biggest fan of his DC movies if I'm honest, but I still respect the man. And I do wanna see how JL turns out.
Dude, and right after redoing THE zombie movie he said "I'm gonna tackle THE comicbook", the comicbook that everyone reveres and thinks it was unfilmable... So yeah, the guy takes on some of the most challenging projects for sure... That probably why he's so polarizing...

Well, yeah, just the whole story behind the making of the movie, all the differences between the two versions, plus the Snyder cut seems to be definitely better than the Whedon version. It is fascinating.

Did anyone else feel like using this version of “Hallelujah” made it feel like a fan-made trailer? 🤷♂️ On first viewing, I totally did a double take to make sure I was actually watching the real thing, and not a fan trailer!

A bit ironic considering that it's the original version of the song, the other versions that have been popularised by various artists are in essense "fan versions". A neat touch by Snyder in my opinion (aside from the sentimental attachment he has to it as well). Just my two cents anyway haha
