@@cerebralmindgame9818 Mike Finley was a 2time all star that easily could have went 3 or 1other year if it wasn't for politics. He was dunked super hard on alot of teams and players and had a nice 1 2 dribble pull up jumper and set shot from behind the arc. HE DEFINITELY IS A OG
I don't know what makes someone love something they have talent in... I remember when Tim Thomas was drafted by the Sixers and I mused to a few fellow fans... Well between this guy and The Answer, forget about it. He gets traded to Milwaukee who was already stacked and thought it interesting because he was a part of a talent reshuffle which seemed to last like eight seasons there. He was eventually traded to my Knicks and I thought "if only he could love what he does" Tim Thomas should have been one of the greatest small forwards of all time. Ray Allen said it best "It's like a 6'10 Kobe" and he was right. Everywhere he played he would have like three games at random times where he was the most unstoppable scorer. I remember him in Phoenix when they played the Mavs and the first 24 minutes they simply had nothing for him. I could go on but I won't. It's my opinion that Tim Thomas simply didn't love basketball.
he could have been so much more.... he had handle, a good jump-shot, range could hit the three, excellent athlete, very good mid range game and was 6'10 could back down and post smaller defenders at the #3 or blow pass bigger yet slower forwards at the #4
@@mkeskate08 he was born in the wrong era. Had he been around during the space-and-pace era, we'd be having a very different conversation about the arc of his career. We saw a snippet of what he could be that half-a-season he played with the Suns in the playoffs. Unfortunately for him, his body began failing him at that point and he was out the league soon thereafter. But he was definitely a 4-man for most his career, forced to be a 3. I also think Marbury's career would be radically different in this era that respects scoring PGs. The Knicks are bozos for trying to turn him into something he's not.
@@TheTwinkiefoot he what he is, stephen jackson had a similar game, you can say that those guy may succeed more in this era coz all they need to do is defend and shoot more 3s, the difference between stak and tim is the desire to play hard. Both can handle but their handles wasnt guard like but stak was in better shape to guard premier sf/sg's like pierce, tmac kobe in the 2000s era ,
Well someone said there a Hs who #1 Aj dybansta 2026 class, who see Tim Tomas similarities, I agree with the earlier comments left in this new spacing Metta well see what a 6'10 combo wing can do I hope Aj knows the work gets harder its better to not lose focus on being the best person obviously but also basketball player God chosen blessing
This was a rough season for the Lakers, somewhat of a rebuilding season (2004-2005). First season without Shaq (traded to Miami before the season started) and without Phil Jackson (who had retired, although he would return next season 2005-2006 to the Lakers), as Kobe got his wish to be the man on a team and he got to stay with the Lakers. As for Tim Thomas, ironically, whenever I think of him, I just think of that game tying 3-pointer as time expired in the 4th quarter of game 6 of the first round against the Lakers in the 2006 playoffs, to force overtime, when he was with the Suns
Tim Thomas was so talented!!
Right ! He had a Jason Tatum type of game but just not as good consistently.
More of a smoother Micheal Finely type but taller
@@carlwallace1129 Mike Finley was dope too. They need to do a video on him too.

And underrated

If he had tapped into his full potential the sky was the limit
His athleticism was gone by this point but he can still shoot
5:07 Kobe pissed at Walton

When Timmy Thomas was in the mood....this was it.
True
As a Lakers fan, do I really want to watch this and relive how bad we were this season?
Watch the "Lakers Force OT After Down 12 with 84 Secs Left vs. Knicks (2005)" video and pretend like the Lakers won in the ensuing overtime.
The Smush Parker era?
RIP KOBE I still can't believe I even wrote that
this Knicks team was so much fun to watch.
One of my favorite Bucks players of all time.
#1 Player in the '96 Class since 8th grade alongside Kobe, but just didn't have the work ethic to be GREAT!
Probably better than Kobe until the 12th grade, if he had the intensity, who knows?

he will be a superstar if they always sign him for 1 year since every year will be a contract year
Bra I did not know he was like that shoutout knuckleheads because I never really watched his highlights until now damn he was way before his time
4:50 19 year old Trevor Ariza?
Yes. Trevor Ariza was drafted by the Knicks in the 2004 draft. This was his rookie year.
What’s 4:50
Very talented player, but a typical SF/PF tweener who could not get more than a 6th man spot in a NBA team
Would fit right in today's NBA as a 4.
Possibly, but at full tilt, could start on any team. That talented.
One of the best shooters ever in the playoffs.
Don't know why Lamar odem wasn't guarding him the most almost as tall the man
Do you have this full game?
This was his best game as a Knick.
He could have been so good.
miss these knicks !!!!
Kobe was pissed at the end. 🤣
who is this guy?
Tim thomas really sticking it to kobe, since HS
Kinda like robert horry, much more talent ,but 7 rings less..
Zeus
Luke Walton wtf 😂
