Not ashamed to say this makes me teary eyed. My teenage years were from 93 to 99 so watching these old sonics clips are unbelievably nostalgic. As a native Washingtonian, this video is amazing. Thank you!

decades/era ever of my life growing up as a kid and teenager in the 1980s & 1990s!
The players played with absolute passion, dedication and desire!
    Their personalities were authentic!
They never concentrated nor based their lives on being billionaires, or music video stars, nor movie stars!
    There was no
"unsocial media" for them to be distracted into playing/living for:
    "likes", "hastags", or "follows"!

The Knicks and Pistons made it a rougher league in that era too. Even Seattle had a great D with Payton, McMillan, Askew, Cage and of course, Kemp. He was 20 and 10 on an elite Seattle SuperSonics team with Gary Payton and Schremph also getting 20 a game. Where was he going to get the points to be an elite scorer by your standards? When Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen went to the Boston Celtics in 2008 their numbers took a massive hit and they were all around 20 points per game with Paul Pierce. Were they not elite scores themselves? Shawn Kemp was an elite scorer, he was commanding double teams every night. If you're not an elite scorer you do not get doubled... Simple as that.
