Sadly that circular screw mount will eventually pull out. Better to use a "T nut" mounted from the inside so the pressure is from the opposite side of the of the panel and not able to pull through. Other than that , nice job. Cheers Norm
Your right, I've actually replaced it now with a SmallRig cheese plate which I've drilled into the bottom of the box. I'm going to uploading a new video soon where I show the improvements that I've made since

@@tusaiistyartist I think that looks good, try adding some extra wood on the interior so it won't stick out on the inside. I would apply a wood primer first and that paint on top of that. The primer will protect the wood so you don't need to varnish unless you want too

I found a box at home that I think might work, but it needs that side hinge. Is there a name for that hinge? Thank you!

Does that palette absorb any of the oil from the paint?
I varnished the the palette with a wood varnish so the wood doesn't absorb the any of the oil
